Love this new set by Rupa!

I guess anybody can tell I'm a big fan of about all the stamps from GinaK Designs by now, lol. I guess I ought to branch out some!

This old time sewing machine sure brought back memories so had to be the first stamp I inked up from my recent order from GinaK. I can remember my Mom using one just like this, hers even had the foot pedal. I wore many clothes made on a machine like this and one year, I remember getting a 'store bought' easter dress and thought I was something special in it, lol. NOW I so appreciate all my Mom went through to make those easter dresses, and how talented she was on the sewing machine...(which I inherited NONE of her sewing machine talent, first time I tried to use one, sewed my finger! LOL! and never have tried again.)

I was undecided whether to add some little white dots around the scalloped purple edge, what do you think? Anyways, details of the card below.

Details:
Stamps: Many Happy Returns by Rupa from GinaK Designs
Cardstock: white is GP from wal-mart, purple and green from Michael's and DP from Michaels also
Inks: stampabilites black dye ink.
Accessories: copic markers and spica glitter pen (which is the silver on the sewing machine), embroidery thread, piercing tool, circle scalloped nesties, plastic canvas circle template (thanks Melanie!) button brads from GinaK Designs

I made this card for the sketch challenge at SCS. It looks much better in person, here it looks red and its actually a deep pink. I took the picture at this weird angle trying to get the score lines and embossing to show, finally got it after like 10 tries, haha! This card was a quicky too, love those!

Details:
Cardstock: All from Michael's
Stamp: 'thanks' from Rupa's King of the Grill set by GinaK Designs
Accessories: CB embossing folder, scor-pal (yay finally got one!), brads from Michaels, ribbon I received in a swap.

Made this card THINKing I would enter Melanie's contest for a guest designer, but I dont feel like I am in the league of sooo many out there, no wheres near it, lol. I get frustrated because I dont really have any good cardstock, inks, or DP's, and until I get that stuff, then not gonna enter things like that. My sister is now officially a Stampin Up! demonstrator, and she will be getting her kit soon (which I went in halfs with her because she already has sooo much stuff already) and THEN I can order some good cardstock, inks and such. CANT WAIT!! Anyways....so gonna be showing the 3 cards I had done for the above stated over the next few days!

Details:
Cardstock: white card stock is GP from Wal-mart, all other cardstock from Michael's
Stamps: Just so Hoppy by Melanie Muenchinger from GinaK Designs.
Accessories: Button brads from GinaK Designs, colored with copic markers, rectangle nesties, ribbon from Michael's.

Still no card...

This is what kept me busy yesterday...This my one and only grandbaby, Blake Dawson. He will be 2 yrs old in September. These pics are from Easter (yea, I need to set the date thingy on camera, lol), I didnt realize batteries were dead in my camera, till I try to take some yesterday, it (the camera) informed me of that and shut off, lol. But house is back in order today and now gonna sit and enjoy some crafting! yay!

No card ?

Ever have one of those days where all your cards where just BAD...just plain ugly. LOL, yep that was mine yesterday. Two cards ended up in the trash. Was no saving them ugly thangs....

But, I am exited...My sister finally decided that she is going to be a Stampin Up! demonstrator. And I'm gonna go in halfs with her on the kit, because she already has so much of it and shes going to let me have the goodies that come with it, most of them. I cant wait to get some GOOD cardstock and inks. That is what I'm looking forward to the most. I had thought about becoming one myself, but I am from a small bodunk town in Texas (sister is from Louisiana) and I am serious when I say there just doesnt seem to be a market here for it. When others talk about stuff being sold out at Michaels and such, I can still find it here, its like card making isnt that big a deal. Even the little LSS here, I talk to the owner alot and she isnt aware of any into card making, isnt aware of the 'in' things at all, lol. I dont see how she stays in business really.

But anyways....on to better cards today! yay!

'Some assembly required'

I was sitting at my table playing with all them extra die cuts I have from using the cuttlebug's flower die cuts. I kept them all in a little tin, couldnt throw them away being the pack rat that I am...lol. Sooo I came up with this card. And I have come to the conclusion that I see crooked. Didnt realize it was a tad crooked till I took the photo even. I also played around with doing a watermark, dont like that one on this card but gonna work on that too, make a prettier one, lol.

Melanie Muenchinger has her contest entries up, and yay I made the finals! I'm so tickled to do even that, haha! OMG the entries though! How can you pick just one?? (and I cant even vote for myself! well, I mean I could, but in all honestly, mine isnt the best to me, lol!) But GO VOTE! You could win a prize just for voting! Its a good thing!

Details for card:
Cardstock: General Mills white cardstock from Wal-Mart, textured card stock from Hobby Lobby
Stamp used: Technique Tuesday (the 'friend')
Accessories: brad from MMs, Cuttlebug die cut of flowers, long rectangle nesties, piercing tool, and little bit of red ribbon from Wal-mart.

Card for a challenge

I love the challenges that Sharon does at No Time To Stamp. This card was really easy stamping, that part didnt take long at all. But then...I decided to add some bling to it, lol. I traced around the stamped image with my spica glitter pens and that took some time, lol. Also, I meant for the middle image to be slightly higher than the other two, but looking at it now it looks like I got it crooked, LOL!

Details:

Cardstock: General Mills white card stock, black from pack from Michaels
Stamps: Studio G dollar stamps
Accessories: tag made with CB die, ribbon from Michaels, brads painted with stickles and they are from MMs.

Card for a contest.

I made this card for a contest that Melanie Muenchinger is having. Heck, a chance to win one of her stamps sets??? Who could resist? Not I said the Cat! LOL!

This card took me forever to make. Actually started with the idea Sunday, stamped stuff out, drew a gazillion birds, cause I have no bird images, and the one I ended up putting on there is ugly anyways, lol. But overall, I did put alot into this card and am pleased how the idea played out. So thats a good thing (to quote Martha...)

Details of card:

Stamps: hip-hop accessories, just so hoppy, technique tuesday (the leaves)
Cardstock: from walmart, long card from Michaels
Other goodies: copic markers and spica glitter pens, long rectangle nesties, ribbon from michaels, little button brads from GinaK Designs, paper piercing tool.

I have been busy today!

Well, my daughter didnt get to come down to see me today *sad face*. She got called into work, which I understand, but was looking forward to spending day with her and grandbaby. Sooooo, what better way to occupy myself than making cards? Well, I couldnt think of one...lol.
I came across Sharon's challenge at No Time to Stamp and I rememberd about the template with the same name soooo....

This one I made using Confetti paper from Kaleidoscope collection. I used the cuttlebug embossing folder of the cats and decided to try coloring it. It tends to bleed a bit on the embossed parts I found out, using copics. Normally it doesnt on the paper I use, guess because of the embossing it weakened the paper and made it do that. I also wanted a whimsical look so used a template called In Stitches from Bazzil, pierced it and then hand stitched around it. Brads, metal heart and ribbon from MM I believe. Tag was made with a cuttlebug die, then colored with copics.

I made this one using paper from Basic Grey, stamps are from GinaK Designs (comfort and peace set, thats the white flowers) and 1.00 Studio G stamps. Buckle is from MM and ribbon came off some flowers I got. Colored with copic markers, and sponged on with black and coffee ink.

I have one more card, but will save to post it tomorrow, lol. Dont want to ummm overwhelm all 3 of my readers, rofl. NO, I joking....I love getting comments though...hint hint.....

Happy Mother's Day!

I made this card for my daughter for Mother's Day, she love it, even though I really didnt spend much time on it, lol. I used cuttlebug for embossing, stamps from GinaK Designs by Melanie Muenchinger, and paper by basic grey. Colored with copics and brad and ribbon are generics (what I call ones that I dont remember where they came from...)

manly birthday card

A friend asked me to make her dad a birthday card. I dont do good manly cards, lol. I keep wanting to add some bling and doodling, which would make it look 'unmanly'...well, she liked it so thats all that matters.

I used stamps and screw brads from GinaK Designs, brads from I dont know where, green twine, and paper is by Kaiser again. Colored with copic markers.

I have made a BUNCH of cards using Super Mom Naomi from GinaK Designs, but cant show them cause they are for a swap...cant wait to get them sent out and get my cards!

Sketch challenge I did...

I did this card for a sketch challenge at a day in the life of gina k. First let me say, this is wayyy out there for me. Definitely not my style! lol! To quote DH when I showed it to him "It's different"....hahaha! Maybe you can tell I'm not crazy about it? lol...

Anyways, Just so Hoppy, HipHop Accessories, by Melanie Muenchinger and paper is from KAISERscrapbook that I got at the LSS here. They had it clearanced, cost me 2.00 for a neat little package that had printed vellum, 3 sheets cardstock, and 3 sheets DP in it. Used copic markers on the frogs and doodled the dots with white gel pen from ranger and a black sharpie.
