Ok, Ihave found a few other stamps I love...

HAHA!! Don't we all? Thanks to Donna , blaming her! I had been loving her Doodlefactory cards for a long time, every since she posted her first one that I saw, andI finally broke down and bought some of my own! What can I say...I LOVE them! They are so fun and whimsical! And I love those kind of cards. Here's my first Doodlefactory card using the country collection:

This little scene was so fun to make for me. I used Sfen (rabbit I think he is) and Clara the cow. Sfen is sad because all that is in his mailbox is a spider web. And Clara has busted out of the fence checking the mailbox with him, lol! She has this look of 'figures nothing there' to me, lol! Ok, I so could just write a story of all these characters! I can tell you, I ordered this unmounted, my first time to ever order any stamps like that. I decided to wait and use them till I could get some of the EZ cling... I was thinking I wouldnt be able to mount this and they work right, or I'd mess it up someway, BUT, it was no trouble at all! This is one big stamp set! You get sooo many stamps for the price...LOVE that! (AND if you use this code: ( dbakerdis ) without the ( ), you can save an additional 10% off your order from Starving Artists Stamps...Donna told me to tell ya'll about that!) Ok, I'll hush now, but I do love these....I have got to order the sentiments that match this set now for sure! And I'm sure more sets too....THANKS Donna!! LOL! (although DH seems to have a different opinion...) haha!

Card Details:
Stamps: Doodlefactory Country Collection from Starving Artists Stamps
Papers: All SU! cardstock
Accessories: JustRite stamper for sentiment, colored pencils and OMS, oval punch, pop dots, versamark ink pad, ribbon and brads from Michaels, button brads from Gina K Designs

Thanks for taking the time to stop by! TGIF everyone! and enjoy your weekend!

p.s. How do you glue your dews?? LOL! I mean dew drops that is....
p.p.s. The colored pencils I used? They are the cheap RoseArt pencils found at Wal-mart, 72 count. So far, I do not see the 'gotta have them' craze over Prisma colored pencils. These worked the same to me! I tried Prisma colors in a 12ct pack and the lead broke so bad on me that I havent used them since!

  1. So cute! Have you tried the Koh I Noor pencils yet? They are so cool and no problem with leads breaking since there are no leads. Gina K has them, but you can also find them at Mikes or Joanns or Hobby Lobby type stores too - only around $15 and work great with OMS. I stick my dew with crystal effects - tiny drop. Have a great weekend! ~chris

  2. Hi Cat!! Such a cute card.
I use Tombow metal glue to glue my dew drops and use fine tweezers to pick them up and drop them in.

  3. Hi Cat. This is so cute. I have been eyeballing this set too.

I just use my Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive on my faux dew drops. I like the idea of using Crystal Effects.

I love the Koh-i-noor pencils. Found Prismas broke like crazy for me, too. I may have to try the RoseArt. Having 72 colors sounds like a good idea.

  4. OH MY rabbits & cows!! this is FABULOUS, Cat! I love your scene; using the scallop shapes for clouds (clever), the spider web in the mailbox? too much! Clara busting out of the fence, whoa! you're showing me up but that's O.K. since you're my FRIEND!! Now you know why I was having so much fun, huh??! can't wait to see MORE!!!

  7. You have gotta stop finding stamps you love, which will make us all find stamps we love. LOL!

The scene you created with all the stamps is awesome. Even that spider web inside the mailbox. Love the way you did the clouds. You have got one creative mind up there:-)

  8. Super cute---love this adorable card. Your coloring is great---I agree the Koh i noors are great, blend well and have no wood so they dont break easily. If you use Prismas--sharpen them with a metal sharpener---they dont break as much with that!

I adhere dew drops with a tiny glue dot...the tiny ones..sometimes use metal glue as well!

  9. Such a cute card!
I like to color with the Koh-i-Noor pencils as well. I bought mine at Michaels' with a coupon.
I have never used the Dew Drops, but I would think the small glue dots would work.
    Have a great weekend!

  10. How cute are these animals?! Love your card - your coloring is great! And, if the pencils you're using are producing such great results why fix what's not broken, I say! Great job!

I use the Quickie Glue Pen or Crystal Effects for the Dew Drops. And I use 3 different types of pencils, RoseArt, Prisma & Kohinoors. I'm a hopeless addict!!! LOL
