Woodgrain technique

Oh my, two posts in one day? Go me! LOL! I made this for the technique challenge this week on StampTV...and let me tell ya, I had fits with it! The way it was shown to do, I really didnt have a good brown ink to use really, and then I didnt want to mess up my white ink pad, lol. AND I wanted my wood shiney, like the wood floors look in gyms. So I did mine a bit different. First, here is a close up of the shiny-ness:

I am showing this first, because you can't see it in the full picture, no matter how hard I tried (10 times, lol) to get a picture with it showing how shiny it was! And here is the whole card:

How I did mine, I took a piece of glossy cardstock, made my score lines, then brayered over the entire piece with SU!'s more mustard ink for the base color. I then added the browns, which in my case I used creamy caramel and close to cocoa, swiping the ink pad in same direction as I brayered over it. I then wanted my wood 'planks' more distinct so I took a black sharpie marker and went over the scored lines and added the 'nails'. I really like how this card looks IRL. It truly is one of those that look so much better in person! I really like my shiny floor look here, lol! Anyways, that's how I did mine! Hope you enjoyed! Off to create some more while the juices be flowing, lol!
