I made this little ATC for the May release challenge #3 that I am hosting in the Gina K forum on SCS. All can play, well, you would have to be a member of SCS to post, but you dont have to use Gina K stamps (if you do though, you get entered twice in the drawing!) and it's to win a free stamp set of your choice! This is my example for that:
Sorry about the blurry photo too, I had a booger of time getting a picture of this for some reason! And my camera giving me woes again ( I am definitely gonna just go go buy me a backup cheap point and shoot camera!)...good thing I have a stash of cards to show though next week! LOL! This card was made using mostly Tim Holtz products, inks, the little acrylic square that is. I was just playing around really, lol. Anyways, hope you all can play along too and enter, you have till 7pm tomorrow, Monday, night CST!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have had a wonderful weekend!

Stamps: Take Flight, Special Fathers (sentiment) from Gina K Designs

Well, not happy with this one...
Ok, so I have been trying to use more dp, and I wanted to play in the FS challenge on SCS from Sunday and the FS was Merci Kerin aka mkstampin74, who does wonderful use of dp and paper piercing I think...sooo this is her card that I chose to do:
Pretty card by Mercy!
And here is my Ugly card by Cat, lol:
Ug, my coloring was off that day, I think it was the humidity, lol! Yep, blaming that! Maybe its the image that doesnt go 'with' it or something, but this card I do not like. Well, there is ONE thing I like about it, the paper piercing, I got it pretty well even! LOL!
Tonight is the release party for Gina K!! yay! I will be there posting some examples of the new sets I have done, and I DO like those I have made! I am also hosting a fun challenge too!! So be sure and stop by between 7-10pm and chat with us on this thread:

Lots of good chat and more examples and peeks from the DT and me and Lee too! 3 challenges and usually a couple of contest questions all with chances to win a free stamp set!! Hope to see you there tonight!
Hope you are having a wonderfully creative week!

CAS card
Yes, another one, lol! I really have enjoyed doing those lately. This one was made using a sketch challenge from SCS..about 2 weeks ago I believe it was! Not a whole lot of stamping on this one, just the sentiment really! Here it is:
I used a flower punch for the flowers, using dp from KandCompany, wild raspberry, then just added the buttons, did a bit of scoring and made a cheater bow like Gina K showed on one of her videos at StampTV. There is always so much going on there, such an awesome place to learn and grow in techniques. I have heard of alot of the techniques, but seeing them first hand, being DONE, makes a world of difference! Jessica also offers Online Classes!! The next one is 'Fun with Glitters' that is coming up. If you click that link (online classes) it will take you right to the page with all the info on it.
Anyways, thats about it for today. I have been having a blast with some new stamps that I cannot speak of yet, but bet alot of you know what I am talking about, lol! Sneak Peeks start tomorrow for Gina K's new release (which is Thursday!) tomorrow on GINA'S BLOG!!Woohooo!!
On a personal note...thank you sooo much for all the encouraging words. I can't tell you how much they mean to me just by merely typing 'thank you' but it is the only thing I can do for now, so I say THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart and know how much you all have brightened my days! I am doing ok. I feel numb right now. Just going through the routine....nothing else I can do right now. I have checked out some apartments...I actually found one that I thought might be doable and ummm well, let's just say I'd be scared to live there and that comes from just driving by it, lol. soooo, that part of me still says its worth working out...and I am trying, but at times it gets to me and I just want to EXPLODE, lol! I want to tell everybody and anybody just what I think about everything, to heck with being politically correct and be done with it, haha! And I am never like that....I really am a calm kind person, ask my sister, lol. SHE is the one that always goes off and always has road rage, soooo bad!! And the thing is, I can forgive him, for destroying my trust in him, making me doubt his love for me...which is really what causes the destroying of the trust actually. I mean, if you doubt someone loves you, or cares for you, how can you trust them? I CAN forgive, but it doesnt mean I have to live in misery....I don't think God wants any of us to do that.....ugg...ok, sorry enough of allllllll THAT!!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, and if you are in the USA, a safe Memorial Day!

Forgive me, my mind was blown away this week...
and I kid you not. My husband of 28 yrs. informed me late Thursday night that he wanted a divorce....this after me finding him at this girl's house, and I do mean GIRL, she's my daughters age. He says they did nothing blah blah blah...I am not gonna bore you with all the details but I do apologize for not being very active here on my blog or commenting on my friends blogs. And I do consider each of you my friend. After feeling pretty low over the weekend, I have decided that I am not rushing into any decisions right now. I have no clue what I am going to do...I dont know if I want to stay with him and work everything out....I mean, I'm not perfect, I have things I do that bother him too, But at least I can say I wasnt trying to mess around with a GIRL/BOY...ug....I keep coming back to that..sorry...but anyways....I love stamping and card making and it is therapy for me so I need to do that right now. I go through spells during the day that I break down crying and then next minute spitting mad, lol. I have been cleaning out closets and throwing stuff away like crazy. My sister tells me I'm purging, in more ways than one in doing that and I think I agree, lol! But, you might see me post a bit about what is going on, or if I need to vent that day about something, I just want to get back to my stamping that I love for right now. So gonna post a card I did last week for the sketch challenge at StampTV for now...
It's a CAS card, I have really enjoyed doing these lately, you get results quicker, lol! I even used a bit of glitter on the white stuff in the cup, go me! I made Lee proud I know, lol! I made the 'coffee stain' by taking a marker and going around the bottom of my coffee cup I had sitting beside me and then just sat it on the card, I think that turned out pretty neat for improvising. :D
Ok, thats about all for now. Are you happy now KELLI? (my sister, she been bugging me to update my blog, lol) And I am OK. and that is a good thing.
Card Details:
Stamps: My Cuppa Joe from Gina K Designs
Papers: SU! cardstock
Accessories: SU! marker for coffee stain, copic markers on cup, glitter, quickie glue pen, doodlebug glitter, nesties for cutting out the one area and the embossing around it, twill ribbon, button, hemp twine.

Hi ya'll!! My last day....
As guest designer for Theresa Momber and her new stamp set 'Out West' from Gina K Designs. If you have been visiting my blog over the last month, I think you can tell that this is a favorite stamp set of mine now, lol! I do love coloring on these images...and it makes me look forward to what Theresa and Gina might have in mind for the future stamp sets, can't wait!
I made today's card for the sketch challenge on SCS this past Tuesday. What's funny, me and Theresa kinda had the same idea on our cards that day, lol! I think we might have even used the same image, but she changed hers...hey, I think its cool that I was thinking like an awesome stamper like Theresa! Ok here is the card:
I also kinda did the technique challenge, to do the bandana technique, at SCS this week too, but I cheated. I used a dp that I got at the little LSS here and just added some white dots to it, that's the red piece there. The copper piece is that roll of thin craft copper that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I love how that stuff embossed! This is my 2nd time to use it with this stamp set, just seems to go with this theme to me, lol! And sorry about the blurred picture, sometimes they come out that way no matter what I do, then I will have a perfectly clear one...I am trying to watch what I do better so maybe this doesnt happen as much, lol.
Ok, that's all for now. I hope you have enjoyed me showcasing Theresa's stamp set this month, I know it was truly and honor to do this and I have thoroughly enjoyed doing it! Thank you Theresa for asking me!
Hope you all have a wonderful relaxing weekend coming up! Thanks for stopping by!

A couple of 3D stuffs!
Well, thought I ought to post these, I keep forgetting to! LOL! I make stuff and then will post it on StampTV or SCS and then forget to post here on my blog, lol. Anyways, Here are a couple of things I have been up to lately:
First, is a coaster, I actually made a coaster set, all the same as this one, and followed Gina's technique shown on Stamp TV. I used Melanie's set 'A Charmed Life' from Gina K Designs
I really love how this coaster set turned out! I think my brother and SIL in Houston will like a set like this, they drink wine alot, haha! I used the stayz on ink on this, and to get the red inside of the wine glass I used a q-tip to apply it. To highlight in the middle, I just lightly sanded that area. I think this whole set, all 4 coasters took me maybe 30 minutes to make! That is like QUICK for me, lol!!
And then I played in the 3D challenge for this month at StampTV hosted by Donna, and it was to make a bookmark. I read ALOT...and I mean alot...I feel lost if I do not have anything to read! So when I saw the challenge, I decided I was going to make myself a bookmark, and here it is:
Donna had hers laminated and I really liked that idea so I did that to mine too. Besides protecting it, it gives it more strength too. I really like my new bookmark! *big grin*
Ok, thats all for now. I do have a card made, but will save that for tomorrow to post. Did ya'll notice too that blogger has a scheduled outage for 2am (PDT) Wed? I have no clue what time this is for me (CST), so hoping this goes through, lol!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Saddle up!
Howdy all and welcome to my 3rd week as Theresa'sguest designer with her first and new set Out West from Gina K Designs. I think you can tell I have been having a blast with this set, and still feel so honored that Theresa asked me to showcase it. Here is my card I have done for today:
I loved coloring that saddle! And the hat too of course, but the saddle is so detailed and it really doesnt take much coloring for you to look like you did a good job coloring, kwim? LOL! I think this would make a perfect get well card for a male. Did you notice the 'barbwire' at the bottom there? I made that using fun wire, that really soft wire you can buy at Michaels in all different colors. I started out with two pieces of the wire, twisted them together then cut little pieces and twisted it around that and then took my needle nose pliers and squished them together with the edges sticking out like barbwire does. It was a bit tedious, I had planned on framing the saddle with it, but got tired of doing the little pieces, lol! Sooo, you got this little piece as an accent there at the bottom! Besides the sunset scene card I did, I really like this one the best! Do I say that about all my cards from this set? WEll, if I do, its cause I really have liked my cards I have done with it, and that is unusual for me!
Ok, hope you enjoyed this week's card. I have one more week of showcasing this stamp set of Theresa's next Friday, so see ya then for sure!
OHHHH!! You have GOT to check out the new Stamping Lifestyle Magazine that goes LIVE today on StampTV! Check it out today! It's not like any other online magazine that I have seen, very unique!! I am really excited to have be a small part of it!

Well, guess I ought to post a card!
LOL! Look at me being bad blogger again, lol! I been making cards, but a couple can't post yet, and then me and my camera having it out, haha! No, it's the batteries, I have some of the recharge-able ones, and they just not recharging. So gonna get some more today I guess. That recharger wasnt that old though...
Anyways, made this card for the inspiration challenge on SCS last Saturday. It was prom dresses, lots different than what we used to have at prom time, lol! Here is what I used for my card:
Prom Dress
And here is my card:

And dont forget tomorrow I will have another card from Theresa's awesome set Out West! It's NOT a scene card this time, lol! so come back to see!
Hope you have a wonderfully creative day!
Card Details:
Stamps: Flowers for Daisy, Elegant Flowers (sentiment) from Gina K Designs
Paper: SU! cardstock and pure luxury white for coloring the flowers from Gina K

Happy Trails to youuuuu....Blog Candy too!
..until we meet again....lalala! Ok, done singing! Howdy again Ya'll! Welcome back to my 2nd time for Theresa's guest designer with her new Out West stamp set! I am sooo loving this set...just have so many ideas for it too! Well, I have been in a scene making mood lately and this is what I did for today: (be sure to read to the end for the candy!)
I was going for a sunset in the desert scene. I can remember when I lived in Arizona with DH right after me and him got married (for 6 months, I got homesick, lol) We went up on a mountain called White Tanks Mountain and I saw a sunset like this. The sky was just a brilliant orange! It was sooo gorgeous! Soo tried to capture that here, with sponging! And then created a 'trail' to go along with the sentiment, lol! I stamped the sentiment and then just took my ruler and drew around it, cut it out and made the ends jagged to look like an old sign. I then added the hat, cactus, and boots from the set to the scene. The little flower on the cactus is this itty bitty paper flower that I have no idea where it came from and how I had it, lol! But added it to look like the prickly pear cactus look when they have a bloom on them. You can't really tell from the photo, but I used some of that copper sheeting to punch out corner punches in the two corners too. I saw Theresa's sister Brenda use some of it and decided I needed some too! LOL! It looks so neat IRL with the copper brads. Ok, didnt mean to get so long winded! On to the blog candy!
Wouldn't you love to WIN this set?? Well, all you have to do is leave a comment here and then spread the word by just posting a little comment on your blog about it by Monday 12:00pm, HIGH NOON!!
