Gina K Design Preview Day 4!

Welcome back to our last day of previews! What fun this has been with all the wonderful Christmas goodies you have seen, huh? LOVING it! I am so getting my Christmas cards done early this year, yay!

Tonight we start off with Carolyn King's aka Cammie newest set called Warm Winter Wishes. This is another set that Cammie is donating 100% of her proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of her Grandmother, Clare Lyons, how awesome is that?? Here is my card that I came up with:

I have a Valentine's card done! LOL! Another CAS card from me, kinda! I did the swirl paper piercing freehand and added a little charm from a silver bracelet I had that broke, and its all tarnished, so I just left it that way. I knew I was saving them little hearts for some reason!! LOL! This set has a really cute image of a snowman in it too...I am sure you will see it too tonight! I just decided to go with another theme to show you what else you might want to do with this set.

Up next is the "one free with three" set called, Holiday Hospitality. Here is my card:

This is a fun set, so awesome for gifts! I didnt do a little gift but a simple card, again, lol! I just seem to be loving the CAS cards lately. I think my style is Eclectic though, I love all styles really! For my card, I stamped the ornament image onto a piece of the craft metal in red with stayz on ink, and then cut it out and mounted it onto cardstock then cut out again. I did this because i wanted to pop it up and it needed a bit more weight to it I thought. The pinecone and branches are from the Winter Foliage set which I LOVE still! I really like how the ornament looks like one of those shiny ball ornaments in real life though!

Ok, now for more eye candy and the link to tomorrow nights PARTAY!! woot!

Gina K Design Preview Day 3!

Welcome to Day 3 of the previews for Gina K Designs! Today we are previewing the new Stamp TV Kit, and OH MY! It's an AWEsome one! For my card tonight I chose to use the solid reindeer image in the kit:

I decided to do a grunge kinda look with my card this time! I did some serious sponging with distress inks on this and also used perfect pearls on the snowflakes and the reindeer. Here is a close up that shows the shimmer a BIT better:

It really does shimmer in real life! It looks like the reindeer is jumping up trying to catch a snowflake to me, lol! I love the kinda non-traditional colors I used in this too. I also used the perfect pearls to paint a button in the copper color too, was surprised how well that worked!

Now for my next item I decided to use a small clear box that Gina will have in her store with this release...I do not think this small rectangle box comes in the Stamp TV kit, but you DO get 1 large clear box , 1 large clear pillow box, 1 medium clear pillow box, 1 small clear pillow box...not mention TWO stamps sets, Holiday Cheer and Holiday Greetings, ribbon assortments AND sooo much wonderful cardstock! OK...here is my little box:

One thing I do for my daughter since she was little, and I continue to do since she moved out even, is to make her a stocking just stuffed to the gills with small items. The stocking has always been her favorite, since she was super small even! So I am loving these little boxes to put all of my little things I get for her for Christmas in! For this size, I am going to put makeup in it for her, eyeshadows, blush and such...she will LOVE it! For my box lid, I followed Gina's tutorial found here:
Gift Box Lid
I cut mine down to fit this smaller box. If you are interested in the measurements I used for mine, I will get them to you, just email me. I will have them up on my blog by this weekend too.

Gina K Design Preview Day 2!!

Hey ya'll! Welcome back to day 2 of the previews for the release from Gina K Designs for September...last night's previews were soo awesome! I am so honored to work along side my fellow DT! They are always such inspirations to me! Ok, I wont get all mushy on ya, LOL! ON WITH THE SHOW!!

Up first tonight is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Hip to be Square (pssttt..I THINK she named this after me, haha!) Here is one of the things I have done with this set:

I have been mass producing Christmas cards! I wanted a card that would quick, easy to mail, and still look fantastic! Well, Mel's set helped me do this! Here is just one by itself:

I used the solid square stamp and the ribbon stamp that fits it perfect...I stamped the ribbon with versamark and embossed it with silver embossing powder, and then just popped them up and mounting tape by scotch that has a bit of dimension, but not too much. I had that little skinny narrow ribbon in my stash from last year and it matched really good to me with this so used it between 2 scored lines and did a bit of paper piercing and all done! I mean, the longest part was embossing the ribbon part and the ink drying on the stamped squares! I am going to make about 3 more of these type to send out...and then I have another idea in mind for more ;)

Next up is the newest set by Nina Brackett called Lord of the Season. Here is my card I did with it:

Since I know you all have seen alot of Christmas card, lol, I decided to do a Fall theme one for my preview. I have stated before how much I love the Fall, and this image is just gorgeous Fall image to me! And the sentiment, one of my favorites! It gives you a hint what else might be in this awesome set! ;)
And the papers and ribbon AND the button... yep from the new Autumn Assortment Companion Pack! I am just soo loving these, and I know you are going to also! Us cardmakers, we like stuff all matchy matchy and these companion Packs make it easy!

OK, now for more awesome eye candy!

Gina K Designs Day 1 Previews!

Yay! I am so excited to be back in the saddle so to speak once again, LOL! I sure missed getting to participate last month, MUCH rather have been here than where I was, haha!

And this release is sooo ROCKing! OMG! Not only the new stamps, but the awesome new Pure Luxury Companions...you are going to LOVE it! This release will have the Holiday assortment and the Autumn Assortment...which both include new colors of cardstock!! WOOHOO!!

Ok, first up tonight is Theresa Momber's newest set called A Very Merry Christmas. Here is one of my cards I created:

Now doesnt this remind you of a warm cozy Christmas? This whole set is typical Theresa, such awesome details in each stamp...so fun to color, or NOT, but I just LOVE this fireplace scene! I decided to do the spotlight technique, which Gina did a video on this technique this week on STV...here is the link to that too: Spotlighting. I just did mine a bit different, I popped up the area I spotlighted, and didnt use sponging, instead I swiped some white paint on the cardstock and then stamped on that for the background part. That gorgeous ribbon is some of the new ribbon in the Holiday assortment and will be available too! See that fancy tag there? That was a wonderful gift from Melanie, she sent me those and those awesome earrings she made that she had on her blog! I LOVE them! Thank you Mel, you are the best! :D

Next up is our newest illustrator Tami Mayberry. And talk about starting out with a bang! OMG, this set and it's add-on are sooo FUN! The sets are called Special Delivery and Special Delivery Add-Ons Here is my card:

I feel like a stamp designer! LOL! I went with a 'hippy' theme on this one, did some sponging with some bright colors in the centers by making a mask and then I used the smiley face from Mel's Little Tees set, fit perfect!! These sets are just a blast to work with, I will have more samples to show at the party Thursday night too! So dont forget to be there this Thursday...I will have the link up Thursday for you all too.

Ok, now on to more awesome eye candy with these sets! Here are the links:

OMG, its been awhile!

Wellll, I did not realize it had been like 2 weeks since I posted a card! And it's not like I havent been doing them either, LOL! Getting ready for Gina K's new release starting Sunday, wooohooo!! Have you been seeing all the wonderful stuff on Gina's blog lately? She has been showing snippets AND showed the awesome new stuff we are going to have now! Here is the link to her blog if you havent been there already...

Gina's Blog

For now, I have a card that I made and keep forgetting about it for some reason, lol. I tell why I think I keep forgetting to upload here in just a sec...here's the card first:

Now, this card was made using a sketch challenge that Shelly hosted on STV a couple of weeks back, loved the sketch, but didnt care for my card because it is just a bit too busy for me, LOL! I think that is why I kept NOT posting it, but it has kinda grown on me some, so sharing it now! I do love that dp on this card...I found it at Michael's before I went into the hospital and got it because it matches perfectly with lots of the new stamps that came out last month and Gina K's cardstocks! It's an 8x8 pad called 'Homeroom' by TPC Studio. Really fun paper! I have another card I made with it, but cant show just yet, lol!

Ok, now, dont forget to stop back tomorrow night at 10pm for the first of the sneak peak releases! I am so excited to show you my stuff and to see what everybody else has created, I KNOW theirs will be awesome! Oh, and thanks for being patient with me and my bad blogger self! ;)

Beautiful Leaf!

As I have said before, I just love Autumn! So this last release, with all of the Autumn stuff in it HAS to be my favorite and I missed it! :( But I am trying to catch up on doing a few cards, lol! Still a bit hard to sit for long, so the card making still a bit slow. Today, there is a blog hop for Melanie's newest set 'A Year of Leaves' and you can begin that blog hop by going to Mel's blog first: (I am not officially on the blog list, I didnt get my card made in time, lol, but wanted to show you some awesome eye candy with this set!!)

Melanie'g Blog

Here is my card that I got done:

Can you see the 'dew drops' on my leaf? LOL! I tried to make them using crystal effects...and this was a pretty easy card, just used the leaves to stamp on the cardstock as a background...the rest is obvious!

That's all for today! Hope you are having a wonderful week! It's almost FRIDAY! YAY! This week flew by to me!

I'm BAAACCKKK!

Yes, I am finally home! OMG seems like it was forever! I want to thank Theresa so much for posting to my blog for me (among the many other things she did for me!) while I was in the hospital...I didnt have a laptop to post to keep anybody updated and Theresa was an angel and did that for me! And I cannot even begin to tell you what all the well wishes, cards and prayers have meant to me. Without them, I dont think I would be in as good as shape as I am now...not quite back to normal because of the problem with the hematoma(sp?) on the leg but otherwise I am doing fine, at least I feel like I am, lol! I even made this card:

I am just loving all these new stamps from last months release from Gina K Designs! Fall is my most favorite time of year and these stamp sets are just full of fall stuffs, so yea, its my favorite! (I say that every month I know, haha!)

Well, I just wanted to get this posted and to let everyone know that I am home, on the mend still (cant sit very long at a time yet) and to thank you alll soooo much for the prayers and well wishes and thoughts that you sent my way. As I have said before, typed words just cant express how grateful I am for having such wonderful online friends as you all! HUGGGSSSSSSSS
