Gina K February Release Preview Day 3!!

Welcome back again to another awesome day of previews! And we have only just begun! (sounds like a song huh? haha!) We have two more new sets tonight to preview for you. Up first is the new stamp set called Spring Florals and this set is the new Card Kit set! More info on that below also! Here is my card for tonight:

I decided to do a bit of Spotlighting for my card, love this quick technique! This card WAS going to be somebody's birthday card, but I decided it wasnt good enough, lol! I always struggle with that though, thinking I could improve my card in SOME way, lol! OH well, guess we all pick our cards apart at times...right? Notice that awesome new color of cardstock? Yep, new one from Gina K!! It's called Lovely Lavender! LOVE it! The other new color is called Lemon Twist and its just as yummy too!

Ok, up next is Asela's newest set called Dream Birds. This is a super FUN and whimsical set and that is what I went with on my card, whimsical! Here it is:

The little clouds, all I did was freehand those and go around the edge with a copic marker in black to simulate a 'stamped' image. The sun is just a circle punch and strips cut. I colored it the way it is on purpose, I thought this gave it more of that whimsical look, you think?

Ok, onto more awesome inspiration!!
For a limited time, a free Card Kit will automatically be included with each purchase of the Spring Florals stamp set. The entire kit includes the stamp set, a binder sheet, the instructions and materials to make 3 complete cards for $19.95. For more details on the cards, please visit Jessica Fick's blog.

Then, check in with each of these GinaK designers to see all the beautiful projects they've made with the two stamp sets previewed tonight!

Thanks for stopping by and dont forget our release party this Thursday night from 7pm-10pm EST at the Gina K forum on SCS! I will have the link for that up on Thursday! Tomorrow night we have two more sets to preview for you, you dont want to miss these!!!

Gina K February Release Preview Day 2!!

Hey all! Welcome back to day two of our previews this month...and boy do we have some more goodies for you! Two more new stamps sets! Up first is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Pressed Flowers and OH my! The possibilities with this set are just endless! All of the different techniques you could do...but I decided to do a lazy way of stamping! Here is mine:

I first used the image of the sunflower from the set and stamped it with Vivid straw ink, then I got out A Year of Flowers set and stamped right on top of it. I LOATHE using a stamp-a-mig and I was wanting to show that it can still look good and NOT use it, did I succeed? LOL! I really like how it turned out myself! I am going to have some more with different techniques with this set coming up soon too! LOVE it!

Next up is Rupa Shevde's newest set called O Baby!...this is just an adorable set! Here is my card with it:

I dont really have much call for baby cards for some reason...but decided to break down and do one...lol! I love how this turned out too!

Ok, now for more inspiration!

The Pressed Flowers stamp set was designed to be a perfect companion to Melanie's A Year of Flowers set! It is also a perfect stand alone set as each bold stamp image lends itself to many techniques as you will see on each designer's blogs tonight!

Start with the Illustrator's blog Melanie Muenchinger and then visit these designer's blogs for even more samples with this stamp set and Rupa Shevde's O Baby Stamp set as well!

Yay! Its finally here, Gina K previews! Day 1!

Wooohoooo!! I am so excited for the previews to finally be here, seems like it was forEVAH this time, although it wasnt, lol! It was just me being excited about it is all! Ok, here we go!

First up is an awesome mini stamp set called Hope is Faith by Gina! A portion of the purchase of every one of these stamps will go to the Red Cross, more on that below too!

The Hope is Faith mini stamp set retails for $9.95. It was created to raise money for the Red Cross to help with the devastation in Haiti. $2.00 of every purchase of this stamp set will be sent directly to the Red Cross throughout the month of February.

As the first responders to disasters around the world, the Red Cross is there to help with the basic needs of these people who have suffered so much. By purchasing this mini set, you will help to make a difference to people who are desperate by supporting an organization that works tirelessly to feed, clothe, comfort and care for those in need.

Here is my card:

I wanted my butterfly to be really 'flutterly' (is that a word?? is now, haha!) so I stamped it on vellum and colored it on the backside with copic markers, because I used Stayz-On ink and it will smear with copics...so just color on the opposite side of something like vellum or clear cardstock, works great!

And next up is Theresa Momber's newest set called Hang In There , and its true to Theresa's style, very detailed drawing and such fun to color!! Here is what I did for tonight:

I had such fun coloring this little red eyed tree frog! I had to google one though, I dont think I have ever seen one IRL! We only have then ugly ole bull frogs around here, lol.

Ok, now get ready for some more awesome inspiration!!

I'm here, I'm here!

Poor neglected blog! I just get so wrapped up in doing other things that I just forget to post here sometimes! LOL! I have cards to show though! Here are a couple for today:

This was made using Melanie's newest set (till next week!) called Square Pegs:

I wasnt happy with this card, for a few reasons. I should have made it more bright and festive, its a 'celebrate!' card for goodness sake! AND my corner chomper messed the corner up which I did at the very last. I used a sketch Jennie had on STV a couple of weeks back to for this one, which I LOVED the sketch, just not my card! LOL!

Ok, and this one:

Now, I like this card! It uses Tami's newest set called Happy Hearts, so perfect for Valentine's day coming up too, BUT, this is suppose to BRIGHTEN someones day, and I made it all dark! Ummmmm can we tell my mood lately by these two cards??? hahaha! I PROMISE, more bright and cheerful cards are on the horizon!! hinthint! haha!

Thanks for stopping by and hanging in there with me! It means alot to me!

28 years....

Yep, tomorrow is our 28th year anniversary. And to be honest, I really struggled with this card...and if you have been reading my blog, I think you will understand, lol! But here is what I finally came up with:

Pretty simple, but then its a guy card, lol. Billy has always liked the 'old scraggly' looking cards, as he calls them, rofl. Anyways, no matter what we have been through, this statement is true with me...more tomorrow...

thanks for stopping by and TGIF!! (in a few hours anyways, lol!)

Herrrreeess ya card!

No, not THAT kinda card, the one Bill Engvall talks about in his stand up comedy thingys, lol! But MY card or rather cards I promised!

This week on StampTV Gina did such an awesome video called Memory Keeper . I HAD to do one. I made a little card set:

I used the new StampTV kit, Organize It! I also used Nina's new set, Heartily Yours, LOVE this set! I have bunch more cards made with this same image too, another card set I made. My sister bugs me all the time to make her sets, so getting her some made up. Plus my daughter likes taking them to her work to sell, lol. Anyways, pretty simple design. I wanted to keep it flat for easy mailing and then I even made matching envelopes too! I really love how this turned out and so quick and fun to make!

Ok, thats it for now! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! It's rainy and yucky here, but I am getting in lots of fun stamping time! And we are going to my daughters house here in a bit to see Blake, cant wait!
