...by the sea shore! Remember those tongue twisters??!! (AND I had to retype this THREE times, so finger twisters too I guess, rofl!) Well, everytime I pick up Melanie's newest set Gifts From the Sea from Gina K Designs it runs through my head! LOL! I know, I'm a tad on the strange side, lol. Here is a card I showed on preview night, but lots missed I think..and of how I did this one:
The waves were made by tearing the cardstock and sponging the edges with white ink...doesnt show much here though. And also, the part with the seashell row is an overlay I did, stamped on clear cardstock with some stayz-on ink...I always Love how thst looks! Added a charm from my stash too!
Well, we have some blog hops coming up next week for Gina K...the card kit hop and the Illustrator/Design Team Challenge hop...and its a fun one this time! Remember, thats the one you can participate in and the winner is next months CSS DT!!! More on that next week for sure! Have a wonderful weekend!! And I hope all of the bad storms stay away from us! Yucky right now, under a tornado watch! bleh!!

Gina K Design April Preview Day 3!!
Welcome back to day 3 of our previews...sooo, what ya think? see anything you like? I have so enjoyed seeing all of my fellow DT and their gorgeous creations...ohhh MY they are so awesome! I am just wowed each month by what they do...I still feel so honored to be part of this awesome team! OK, ok, I will quit getting all gooshy, lol! But I DO mean that!
Once again, we have two stamp sets tonight! Up first we have Asela Hopkins' newest set called Sew Pretty!....omg, I am in love with the vintage images in this set! Here is what I did:
I decided to keep the image uncolored, to kinda go with my 'vintage' theme, ya know, black and white photos! And I also used a real dress pattern to make the tissue flower and for a piece on the card cut with the labels 8 nestie, then sponged and distressed to give it an aged look too. AND also SEWed on it! go me! LOL!
Up next is the newest by Rupa Shevde called Welcome Home ...here is my card with this set:
I decided to do a CAS card for this one. I wanted the focus to be on that Irish blessing sentiment that is in the stamp set... LOVE it! I stamped the row of houses (which you could cut apart if you choose, I left mine together) then stamped and colored the one house and popped it up, scored a few lines and basically was done! Super quick for me, lol!
Ok, ready for more!??

Gina K Design April Preview Day 2!!
Welcome to day 2 of our previews this week and once again we have TWO stamp sets to showcase! So exciting, woohooooo!! right? Ok, up first is the newest by Theresa Momber called Gone Fishing...here is what I did with it for tonight:
Look at that fish image! True to her form, these images are so fun and detailed, so fun to color, or NOT, which I will show THAT way too later! I decided to try to color this like a rainbow trout, which we dont have much of those around here, ANY that I know of, lol, so did the best I could by googling it! I think this would make an awesome retirement card or even just a male card for somebody feeling a bit down.
Up next is the stamp set called Quite The Catch and this is the card kit stamp set for this month! Here is what I did with the stamp set:
Look at the expression on that fishes face, haha! I LOVE it! This is a super fun set and look at what all you can get in the kit when you purchase the stamp set:
Kit includes:
* Quite the Catch stamp set
* Cardstock: Layering White, Red Hot, Turquoise Sea, Green Apple
* Quarter Sheet Patterned Paper sheet
* 10 silver brads
* Print out with supplies and measurements
I just want to note, I did not use the kit for making my card though. I also photographed this thing a gazillion times, and my rain dots insisted on looking all funny...they do not look like that IRL!! And the fish is really all shiny on both cards too, ahhh to be a professional photographer, lol!
Ok, ready for more?

Gina K Design April Preview Day 1!!
Howdy all and welcome to day one of the April previews! I still get so excited when it comes to the previews, so excited to show the awesome stamp sets that YOU can own! Yay!! These have been so much fun to work with this time to me! We have 2 sets we are previewing tonight so I'll hush and get with showing the cards, lol! Up first is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Gifts from the Sea...here is one of my cards I did: (saving the other for the release night!)
I actually couldnt decide which card I made to post tonight so I let Billy pick...so this is his fav! I also used Nina Brackett's set Lovely Labels on this too. IRL, the corals look the same, but for my pic..they look different! LOL! This is a really big card, 5 x 7, it's a corrugated card that I got a pack of them at Michaels on clearance but I think it looks fantastic with these seashells! And I just LOVE that saying! I also made the envelope to match the card.
Ok, up next is Tami Mayberry's newest set called, Oh Boy!....And although the title may give away the images in this set...I decided to go a slightly different way! here is mine:
I decided to show you that it doesnt have to be JUST for the male species! LOL! I LOVE this fun set though! I am looking so forward to making Blake, my grandson a card with this and sending it to him, he will love getting something like that in the mail!
Ok, ready for more awesome eye candy??

Gina K Designs April Illustrators Blog Hop!!
And DT Challenge! Gina challenged each of us to use a favorite children's book and last month's stamps from the release to make our cards for tonight's hop....what a fun one!!
Now, being the OLD fashioned traditional gal that I am...I HAD to do Cinderella and The Glass Slipper!!!
And of course, the perfect set was Tami Mayberry's newest set from Gina K Designs , Fairy Tales....here is my card I made:
I decided to do a wedding card with the slipper and heart image! And I wish you could see it IRL...I used GLITTER!! on the shoe...yep! It's so sparkly and pretty and just a tint of blue to make it look more 'glassy'.
I was one of those little girls that dreamed of a fairy tale wedding. And I would have worn a glass slipper if I had of had one! (although I HEARD they give you blisters, haha!)
But I can remember just loving this book when I was little and it was pretty worn out when my Mom threw it away!
Ok, ready for more inspiration?
To keep the inspiration going, check out these GinaK Designer's joining in on the hop tonight:
Im off to see all the wonderful creations for tonight's hop too! Hope you will play along with us!! The prize is AWEsome dont ya think??
