Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our challenge and hop for this month! For this month, we were to use a favorite background technique that Gina has done a video on...and chose this one:
This is such a fun one! This is my creation with using this technique:
I added a bit of distressing too on mine. The red ribbon you see is some I hand dyed....After seeing Nina's gorgeous ribbon she did, I wanted to try doing some. (I dyed 3 different colors, but this is the only one that survived the stray kitty burglar that stole them off my back deck as they were drying, lol!!) Well, I did not use the same kind of bias tape she used apparently, lol! I love how hers is more 'gauzy' looking than mine, but this had a distressed look to it, on the folded part, so decided to use it on this creation...I also stiffened the twine a bit and made it all wrinkly/curly....I kinda like how it turned out, sorta growing on me, haha! I love this technique, it is a lot of fun, my daughter loves it too!

ReplyDeleteSo you have a kitty burgler too - I accually have 2 (of 3 cats - 1 is too lazy) - one of my burglers likes ribbon, the other likes my pencils......
Love that bg Cat. I have not tried that yet, but it's moved to the top of my "to do" list of techniques to try. (Hope you catch that ribbon snatching kitty burglar soon)
