Just a quick tip and Hubby's Pick!

Hey ya'll!! Good Monday morning! It is a good morning because we finally got some much needed rain here in my part of TX...it even settled the dust this time, lol! And the temp is a bit cooler too, so I am tickled! Makes me happy to know that Fall is on the horizon!!

I thought I'd show you a quick tip of how I stamp those long skinny sentiments, and make them more stable, to try to keep them from 'rocking' I call it. This is in the Gina K Design's stamps, which are the red rubber foam backed stamps. When the stamps arrive, (pre-cut now!) I don't throw away the extra red rubber you have after punching out all the images and sentiments. I trim off a long section of it like this:

Then I cut that long section into approximately 1.5 -- 2.0 inches long pieces:

I then place my sentiment on the acrylic block, ink it, then place the scrap pieces of red rubber beside the sentiment like this:

Tada! More stability when stamping those long skinny sentiments! :D

And I haven't done this in awhile. a Hubby's Pick I call it. I show him all my cards made with the most recent release from Gina K, and he picks his favorite. This is the card he picked, which I don't think I showed on my blog yet, but did at the release party:

I know, I know...!! Those scrabble tiles AGAIN!! ROFL!! I'll get tired of them soon enough, I'm sure, but for now, yea, I'm loving them! I got these off of Ebay, and they came with some epoxy stickers that go over the top, it just gives them a really cool look when added to them to me! Here is a close up of the boo words:

This was a super quick and easy card too. I did use some distress ink stains, peeled paint, on the tiles, so they would match the green cardstock more...loving that distress stain too! I purchased these at Stampers Dream Store, Michelle's online store. Michelle lives over around Shreveport, which is only a hop, skip and jump away and I have actually met her in person, she is so awesome! She always ships THAT day, and being so close, I get it the very next day! Got to love THAT! :D

Ok, that's all for now! I'm sure I will be back with another post soon! Thanks so much for stopping by!
