GIna K Design October Release Inspiration Hop, Day 3!!!

Hey Ya'll!! Welcome back to your last day of the inspiration hops for this month...NOT your last day of inspiration though! :D Up today we have two new stamp sets...first is Tami Mayberry's newest set called You Go Girl!..what fun this set is and just full of encouragement for all of your girlfriends! Here is a card that Lee showed for me at the party the other night:

I just love that sentiment! That fits me to a T! I have always laughed at some of the WORST times! ...like at funerals...or during prayer...NOT good! LOL! Laughter IS one of the best medicines in my book! :D

Up next we have the new 'One Free With Three' stamp set called Pleasant Plurals ...this stamp set is so perfect for including everybody in your family AND TO everybody in another family! Here is my card with it:

I also used the new StampTV kit, "Wishing You Joy"...I used the house image and that sentiment on the bottom of the card is from that set too. This was a really quick card to make...I only used some glitter pens on the house, along with a few white gel pen accents instead of coloring it all in...I think it turned out pretty cute!!

Ok , ready for more awesome inspiration? Be sure to leave comments along the way for more chances to win a fabulous Gina K. Designs grab bag filled with a least a dozen individual precut images!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome back to our 2nd day for this month's release of some wonderful inspiration for you! Up today we have the oh so awesome StampTV kit, Wishing You Joy! And it is just LOADED with goodies...besides the awesome stamps...you have ribbons and designer papers...Gina has a video on Stamp TV showing you all of the gorgeousness in this kit!! I wasn't able to attend the release party, and I had my GF Lee show this card I had made with the kit that night:

I did a bit of paper piecing on the trees and some sponging. The little acrylic charm says 'Happy Holidays' on it, you can't hardly see it in the pic though, so sorry! This card came together super quick, love that! I have a project I am working on, but didn't get done with it in time this weekend...life got in the way! But I do hope to have this project done over so I can show it in the next day or two!

Ok, ready for more awesome inspiration?? Here ya go! Be sure to leave comments along the way for more chances to win a fabulous Gina K. Designs grab bag filled with a least a dozen individual precut images! ....the more you comment, the more you increase your chances! :D

GIna K Design October Release Inspiration Hop, Day 1!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our inspiration hop for Gina K Designs!! Up today we have two stamp sets to showcase for you! Up first is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Basket Additions...another set to add to you basket sets of Melanie's!! Here is what I have done:

I decided to do a Fall theme card...the temps here in my part of Texas are finally reflecting that it is Fall! yay! My favorite time of year! See that dp? That comes in the new StampTV kit too, it is GORgeous! (We will be showcasing that set on Monday!)

Up next is Theresa Momber's newest set called Strength and Hope...and to top it off, Theresa will be donating ALL of the proceeds from the first month of sales to cancer research! How awesome is that?! Here is my creation with this set for today:

Being that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month I decided to make a pink ribbon tree! This is something very close to lots of us. Statistics say that 1 in 3 woman will be affected by some type of cancer and 1 in 2 men! And for those that have been touched by this ugly disease already, HOPE is always something you have to have, plain and simple!

Ok, ready for more awesome inspiration from my fellow DT? Here are the links and be sure to leave comments along the way for more chances to win a fabulous Gina K. Designs grab bag filled with a least a dozen individual precut images!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our October Gina K Design's Design Team Hop, and this month we have a very special hop...AND you could win a LOAD of prizes even! So join us now for our Card Drive for Kids with Spina Bifida blog hop!

Members of Gina K.'s Design Team have come together to host a hop where we will share with you cards we created for some very special kids! You can find more details on this special cause over at StampTV!

If you came from Donna's Blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV's Main Forum where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop and more information on the card drive.

I have made a card for little Tanner who is almost 3 years old...ohhh my he is a cutey!! I caught myself smiling back at him in his picture! :D After reading he loved BuzzLightYear, I decided to make him a rocket card:

This was a pretty quick card to make, except for waiting on the Crystal Effects and silver ink to dry, LOL! I also copied Melanie's idea to create that moon with a circle and a cuttlebug embossing folder. I added some sparkle with a glitter pen too on it. I think he will like it, I know my grandson loved this rocket on a card I made him at about the same age! :D

Ok, up next on your hop is the oh so talented Carolina!!

Be SURE and check out all the info at the StampTV Main Forum I have linked above with all the details on this hop, how YOU can be a part of it AND a chance to win some prizes!! The best part? Making one or all of these kid's day! (Not to mention the parents too!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure and come back on Thursday of this week...it's Gina K Release for this month and the party is Thursday night too! Hope to see you there also, lots of fun chatting and reveals of the new stamps..including a new StampTV kit this month!!

More fun challenges....

Hey ya'll! I just wanted to get this card put up, it is another HYCCT challenge card, but it is also for the challenge over on the Touch Twin Markers Challenge Blog. I just ordered my first group of markers and only ordered 12 markers, set A, so I was kinda limited to my colors. I used all Touch Twin on the flowers, but used some other markers for the leaves. Here it is:

I can honestly say I am thoroughly enjoying these markers! I brought the brush markers and them seem to be a bit more...sturdy? I think than some other markers out there..and they are a bit cheaper! So I WILL be ordering more...wish I could just order the whole darn bunch, haha!

The HYCCT challenge was called 'Think P.I.N.K.'...we were to use elements on our card starting with those letters...and I used:

P -- Picket fence die cut
I -- Ink from the Touch Twin markers and distress ink
N -- Nature for the cone flowers
K -- Knot...tied the twine with a knot...!!

This was lots of fun!! I have so many cards to mail off, hoping to get them out by Wednesday and that someone will enjoy them! :D

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you are having a wonderfully creative weekend!

Swimming for Katie Blog Hop

Hey Ya'll! I just wanted to pop on and give this link to this wonderful blog hop going on....it's for Katie Renz, her blog is My Paper Haven, and she has been battling cancer for about a year now. I have followed her story from the beginning and my heart goes out to her and her whole family...I'm like Katie, when she first found out ...39?? Cancer?? Cancer is just an evil thing, and anything we can do to help at anytime is something we should all do, be it something small or big! Here is the link to the hop:

Swimming For Katie Blog Hop

There are some awesome designers on this hop, wowza! And prizes can be won also! Go! Enjoy!

I have a bunch of cards that I have done for the Hope You Can Cling to Challenges over on SCS that I need to post, but for now, will leave you with just one! (I have like 10 I think, lol!)

This is for the HYCCT challenge 'Hang In There' hosted by Wanda. I found these little charms at Michaels about 3 months ago in the jewelry clearance stuffs and knew one day they would come in handy, lol! One says 'believe' and the other says 'hope'....I also combined this with the IC challenge and here is the link that inspired me...mainly the background paper on my card:

Gelaskins inspired

I created my background by using distress inks in Vintage Photo and Fired Brick...first by swiping some on with a paint brush and sponge, then used the direct to paper, using just the edge of the stamp pad...I love how it turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I will be back tomorrow with more of my HYCCT challenge cards!!

CPS sketch challenge and TLC challenge

Hey Ya'll!! I played along in a couple of challenges yesterday...well, actually I have been making cards for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges over on SCS too over the weekend, since we didn't get Blake like we were suppose too :(....I consoled myself by playing in those challenges, lol! But I will post more on those later today or tomorrow. There is a challenge everyday and I have 4 or 5 done so far, so got some catching up to do on the ole' blog! :D

Ok, this card is for the CPS 238 sketch challenge and the TLC #345 called 'Pencil It In!" You had to color with a No. 2 pencil...Here is my card:

This was fun to do! I used to fancy myself as a pencil artist and took a class or two YEARS ago, but I decided to go with a really small image to do this, since I did NOT master that skill, haha! I do like how this turned out though. Reminds me of the Sorting Hat from Harry Potter! Here is the sketch we were to follow too:

As you can see, I followed the sketch pretty closely, loved it!

Ok, that is all for now! Off to make my card for today in the HYCCT challenges over on SCS...lots of fun and for an awesome cause! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a wonderfully creative day!
