I have made two cards for the hop today. My first one uses the new duo 'Penguin Joy'...here is what I have done with it:

I think this little penguin is just too cute! I kept with a whimsical theme, used the banners and fun colors! Love it!

My 2nd card I used the new duo called 'Merry Tree'...

It also uses a little present from one of the other stamp duos, 'Ornamental Holiday'. I added some sparkly by using the copic spica glitter pens to the dots and star. I wasnt sure about a black tree at first, but I like how it turned out now! :D

CASEing Tami Mayberry

Once a month I do a regular challenge called 'CASE the DT'. In this challenge we CASE one of my fellow Gina K Design DT....and this month is the awesome CAS stamper Tami Mayberry!! I actually CASEd two cards, here is the first one:

I basically kept the same layout, used the new SB Floral Oval die I just got and used distress inks on the edges and then added some bling bling! I always tend to add more than I plan on for some reason, even though I do love Tami's CAS style! Sooo, I decided to do another card and try to control myself, lol. Here it is:

And with this card, I did keep the same layout and didnt add any extras! I love how this turned out too! Tami's style just amazes me that she can pack so much punch in a CAS style card! Loved CASEing her, as I have all of my fellow DT! :D

And on another note, I am so sad to have lost an awesome 'online' friend, Lynn Brookside. I am not an eloquent speaker, I dont have fancy words or quotes to express how I felt about Lynn and how much I will miss her..her comments and emails to me were always so very uplifting and made me feel so good...and her dealing with all that she was dealing with....it just amazes me how she did! She is where she wanted to be though now, and I rejoice in that fact! It always reminds me to not miss a chance to tell someone how much their comments mean to me and their encouraging words! Up first today is the brand spanking new StampTV kit, Sunkissed Autumn....need I say it? I LOVE Autumn/Fall! My most favorite time of year...love the colors, the feel in the air...the anticipation of all of the holidays to come AND FOOTBALL! Friday night lights here in TX! :D Ok, I digress....lol! Here is what I have done for today with this set:



What? Where is the fall colors and such I was talking about? Its coming, I promise! But I had to do this girl...I love this image! I was trying to make it look like she was standing on top of a hill, wind blowing her hair, in a field of FALLS flowers...use your imagination! :D

Ok, next up is the new 'One Free With Three' set called Fall Foilage...yes, here is the fall card!



Well, I HAD to try that triple time stamp everybody is doing! Really fun to do! I used various distress inks and also this is spritz with gold and coffee shimmer mists...it really sparkles IRL! I LOVE how this turned out, so very rustic and sparkly...just what I was going for! :D

Up first today we have one of our newest illustrators, Beth Silaika's newest set called Stippled Nature Here is what I have done for today:

Notice the apple has fallen out of the tree, lol! This set is so easy and fun to work with! I have one more to show you too:



I've been on a yellow kick lately it seems! I stamped the image and then did some paper piercing around it to just add a little more interest! Love how this turned out, and it was a really quick one!

Up next is our other new illustrator, Becky Oehlers's newest set called, American Made...oh and I so love that sunray stamp in this set! Here is what I have done for today:



Those sun rays just add that little extra emphasis...for lack of better word at the moment, lol! Another super quick creation for me, and I so love that at times, lol!

Ok, next up is the last set for the day that we are showcasing. This one is by Tami Mayberry and is called Lighthearted Wishes...O.m.geee!! The little lamp stamps in this set are just too adorable! This is what I have done for today with it:



(there some yellow again!) I also used those sun rays back behind the lamp too, perfect dont ya think?! I was going for a kinda whimsical feel with this card, with the polkadots. I did a bit of sponging also to tone it down a bit.

Up first is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Basket Additions 3. Ive been having alot of fun with this set! For my card today, I decided to use a template that Melanie has for a pop up desk and a teacher card:



For the front I used the cute teacher stuffs...this is my daughter's first year of teaching so Ive basically had alot of teacher stuff on my brain, lol! And now, here is the inside of the card:

I love how this turned out! So did my daughter, she took it with her to share with the other kindergarten teacher, lol!

Ok, up next is Theresa Momber's Newest set called Country Roads...and yes, I have had the John Denver song in my head every since I started playing with this set, lol! Here is what I did for today:



I decided to use the old truck and mailboxes...I see alot of this around here, lol! I painted the truck red because hubby said to, I think he wants to paint his old ford red is why he said to do it, lol!
