Sooo, thought I'd share with you here then! :D I had a total of 6, SIX!! rejected, stung just a bit, but, tis ok, it's not gonna take away my love of this little hobby! We all have different tastes, and mine just wasnt what they editors where looking for THIS time! :D Here it is, using the bleaching technique:
I used Gina K Designs' Honey Mustard cardstock and I LOVE how it bleached out! Isnt that a gorgeous Daisy!?? I did use a marker on the leaves after bleaching, and added some pen work with a white gel pen and copic marker. But yea, this is one of my favs!! You likey? :D
And tonight is the night!! The Gina K Design February Release! Here is Gina's Invite video:
You're Invited!!
Hope to see you there! Lots of good convo with wonderful friends! AND gorgeous samples from all of the DT to oogle at! :D Our hops will start Monday, March 4th, so be sure and come back here then!

great technique Cat! I am always so afraid of stamping with bleach!
ReplyDeleteI liked your card, and the technique. Maybe it's not what they think is "trendy", but, it's their loss. So, just have a nice cool beverage, and think happy thoughts. There is always another day, another magazine. Gazillions out there. So no big deal, right?
ReplyDeleteThis card is gorgeous! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Cat, Your card is beautiful and I can't imagine anyone rejecting it. I for one would love to see it in a magazine. One thing I must tell you is that I think your flower is a Sunflower, not a daisy. :)) Hugs Lori
ReplyDeleteWell I think its a winner I love the bleaching, fabulous job dear Cat thanks for sharing with us...

ReplyDeleteCan't believe you were rejected. There is no accounting for some people's taste. I think your great!
ReplyDeleteOh, Cat - you tried and that's a sign of success for sure! My middle name is 'reject!' But I keep trying too. I love your card - it reminds me of fall. Hang in there, will make your first publication one of surreal joy!
