Hey y'all! Thought I'd share my little project I worked on the last couple of days. This is the first time Ive used a canvas to play around with mixed medias, and I got to say, its LOTS of fun! Here is my completed project:
This quote is one of my ALL time favorites so I wanted to use it on this...I also have incorporated 'Live, Love, Laugh' Another favorite quote of mine. I used lots of gesso and spray mists....even made some of my own out of GKD reinkers and sparkly eye shadow! I also used some Ice Resin for the first time...Ilike the end results, but didnt like getting it on my hands or table top, lol! The square hat pin thingy from Spellbinders is what I used that on...I got lots more of these goodies I want to do using SB new bezels! Cant wait to use more! (and thank you Theresa Momber. You rock!
Here are a few close ups:
This is a close up of the square hat pin bezel from Spellbinders I used, LOVE it! I painted it with gesso and did some sponging on it with GKD inks too.
close up of the flowers in the lower right corner. Some are premade, and I made a couple of them.
I also added lace to the sides, painted over it with gesso too and did some sponging also.
Like I said, I totally enjoyed putting some mixed media onto this canvas...i thinking of doing a Christmas themed one now! :D
Be sure and stop back by tomorrow too! It's The Gina K Design Illustrators blog hop and an invite to the Release Party tomorrow night! Got lots of new goodies to show ya! :D
