Hey Y'all!
Welcome to day two of this months release, glad to see you! Did you enjoy yesterday's awesome creations from everybody? I know I did! I so admire my fellow DT, they ROCK! Well, today we have 3 stamp sets to showcase. And as always, be sure to leave a comment on you hop along for you chance to win one of two of the $50 gift certificates being giving away, one from each day of comments! AND we will be having an Instagram Hop also, it will be on March 11th, NEXT Wednesday. Ok, here we goooo!
Up first today is Emily Loggan's new set, Just Because:
Here is what I have for today:
For this card, I stamped the "Bless Your Heart" sentiment and heart embossed it, Like, I'm from TEXAS, how could I NOT use that sentiment?! haha! I common saying around here in my parts! I also used the Heartfelt Stencil, (which right now is only available in the A Big Hello Card Kit, but will be available alone after the new kit comes out probably later this month) and various colors of GKD inks in red and pink and whites with the blender brushes to created the background. Then cut out and popped up my sentiment and attached the little leaves and heart and ties some twine, all done! :D
Next up is Hannah Drapinski's new set called, Kindness Wreath:
Here is my card for today with this set:
This basically is a crayon resist card. I stamped the image and the sentiment (which is from Emily's set, Just Because) and then colored with a white crayon, then used distress inks in vintage photo and black soot., buffed it off. Well, i then decided it needed somethine more, so did the white dots with a gel pen. THEN, wanted something else, so added some sparkle by using the glitz gel and a paint brush. lol! Here is a close up of the sparkle:
not a very good pic, but it kinda gives you the idea better, that it sparkles!! My sister swiped this card already to give to a coworker going through a hard time after loosing a beloved pet. :( Im glad that my creations can maybe convey to a friend how they are thinking of them and care deeply that they are hurting. kwim?
Ok, now last but FAR from least is Lisa Hetrick's newest set called, Woodland Whimsy:
And here is my card:
I made a CAS card for this one, did some quick watercoloring on the flowers on water color paper, love the texture it gives our cards. Then layered onto GKD kraft cardstock and rolled the edge. I left a sentiment off because wasnt quite sure how I wanted to use it yet. Im making an effort to USE more of my cards I make this year, sending them out! I have done better, but not as good as I need to, lol!
Ok, that's all from me for today! your next stop on the blog hop is the oh so talented
Donna Idlet!!
I hope you have found a bit of inspiration from me this time around, and all other times too! I love reading your comments, they mean so very much to me! THAT inspires ME!
