Forgot to post this card I made last week...

I forgot I made this card for the color challenge at SCS this week, so wanted to get it posted while I'm cleaning up my folders, lol.

I like how this turned out, although I wish I had of added some paper piercing around the image rectangle and on the red. Would have added alot to it. I may do that yet!

Ok, I THINK thats all for today! LOL!

I actually did a 'quickie'!

WEll, quick for me! I made this card in about an hour! Most of the time took thinking it out, lol! What's funny though, it was actually this weeks sketch challenge at SCS, so shouldnt have been THAT much thinking! haha! What can I say, I'm a slow card making, even if its sketched out for me, lol. I find myself changing which side to put what on, changing WHAT I'm putting on it...blah blah...till its something I like. Really not much stamping on this card, poking holes and adding brads and glue, lol.

My favorite part of this card, besides my new 'Flirty Flowers' stamp set from Unity Stamp Company, is that cool acetate overlay that I found at Target on clearance. Its by Paper Crush and is called photo overlays. There were 12 in the pack, the total size of each overlay is about 4" x 6" so its a bit short if making the standard 4.25" x 5.5" but I made do, lol. Lots of neat designs, with dp with it really, I just didnt use it here. Super easy card! But next time I use the flirty flowers set, want to color them to show off the cute flowers in the set!

Thanks for taking the time to look! Sorry this so late today, I actually had it set up to post and didnt check to see if it did till late today, forgot to change the PM AM thingy, lol.
Have a wonderful safe holiday weekend if you are in the US! If not, still do! LOL!

BBQutee!

Howdy all! Welcome back to my last week as Melanie's guest designer...I know, I'm sad! Since this was a long month and the new release for Gina K Designs isn't until September 5th this time, Mel asked me to do one more week...didnt take me long to say YES! I have so many Little Tees made up, was no problem at all! Ok, shush up Cat and get on with the stamp! haha!

With Labor Day coming up here in the US, it made me think of BBQs! My DH side of the family always gets together on this day and cooks out...name it, they cook it that day! For this Tee, I just stamped a Tee, then kinda sketched out an apron design over the shirt, then cut that out to have as a template in case I wanted to make another one! I traced onto the DP , drew some little pockets to put the utensils in (from the set King of the Grill, also from Gina K Designs) and then just glued everything together...did a bit of shading on the Tee with a copic marker is all, cause I wanted it to look like a man shirt. The BBQ grill was stamped with versamark ink then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I did it like this because I wanted the focus to be more on the Tee than the BBQ grill. The 'kiss the cook' on the apron was done with my JustRite stamper. This was actually one of my quick cards! Only took about 2 hours, haha!

Thanks for stopping by today, and hope you have a safe wonderful holiday if you are celebrating it this weekend, and for those that arent, have a wonderful weekend too! I hope you have enjoyed me being Mel's guest designer, I know that I have thoroughly enjoyed doing it and am looking sooo forward to the new releases next month! Wonder what Mel is gonna surprise us with this time??? Whatever it is, I'm sure she has packed as much into it as she can, lol! Mel always makes sure we get our money's worth!! See ya at the release party on September 5th at the Gina K forum on Splitcoast Stampers!

Unity Pre-Hip Hop Challenge!

You might have noticed on my sidebar a list of blogs...those are SOME of us who just LOVE Unity Stamps! Maria had the idea of doing a customer blog hop prior to Unity's Hip Hop Thursday which occurs tomorrow! And every Thursday after that for that matter, lol! Its a blast too! Free stamps are given away and we all have a blast in the Unity Forum at SCS! So be sure and check it out!

For this first challenge we were to CASE one of the DT ladies...what a hard decision THAT was! I finally decided on CHRISTI and used her card found HERE
Here is my CASE:

I used the same stamp set intitle 'Growing in Unity'...and sorta blinged it up! (you likey Lee? LOL) AND omg, pastels!..sorta, lol! I didnt make a whole notecard set like Christi did though, didnt have enough bling to do it, lol!

Thanks for stopping by and you can click on the links to the left there and see some wonderful creations today!

Card Details:
Stamps: Growing in Unity from Unity Stamp Company
Papers: DP is basic grey, SU! cardstock
Accessories: scor-pal, silver rhinestones, oval and circle nesties, 'dream' snap from MMs, ribbon from M's, pop dots

With the summer ending...

Of course I start dreaming of Fall! That is my favorite time of year. Love the cool crisp air, and most of all the COLORS! The trees become sooo gorgeous! One of these days I'm going to go all the way to Maine and see the foliage there, I hear its breathtaking at times.

I made this card for 2 challenges really...one for a Fall challenge in the Gina K forum at SCS and the other for the technique challenge, but I only did that on the words, its called faux dry embossing, and I definitely need a stamp-a-ma thingy before attempting again! But the cards in the gallery at SCS using that technique are gorgeous! And now my card, haha!

I colored this leaf with reds, yellows, oranges, and even some green, but you cant tell it from the picture. I tried taking this picture about 10 times, and it still looses its coloring! Very frustrating...guess this is one of those cards, 'looks much better in person' lol. Cause really it does. I wanted to try and capture all the brilliant colors of the Fall...especially the reds, love those trees of that color.

Well, feeling much better today! Made 2 cards, got caught up on my daily blog reads and also received a wonderful award from Donna that I will post later with. I was so tickled *big grin*. Hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday!

Card Details
Stamps: Botanical Dreams from Gina K Designs

So sorry....

I sure have been a bad blogger lately...I so sorry! I've got some kind of crud...stuffed up nose, bit of cough and running fever which then makes me feel achy kinda. Feeling a bit better today though, thank goodness. Dont like being sick, but who does? LOL

But that means no cards today or yesterday. I did sit down and do some coloring. This is one image I got colored today, but not into a card as of yet:

This is the little mouse from Rupa Shevde set, 'Whatever Floats Your Boat', from last months release from Gina K Designs. Again, I was practicing with my cheapo RoseArt pencils. I do have the Koh-i-noor pencils also, but wanted more colors than just the 24 to play with. And thank you for all the input on the post I made asking how you glue your dew drops. I purchased some metal glue, Tombow brand at M's to try that.

Anyways, that's about all for now...just wanted to let everyone know that I am still around...alive and kicking, just not strongly, lol. Oh! I will be doing another guest designer spot from Melanie Muenchinger on Thursday again! Yay! She asked me to since this was a long month and no release this month with Gina K cause of the CHA and vacations and such... (anybody else having like SERIOUS withdrawals like me though??? haha!)I've got several made up, just dont know which one to go with yet, lol!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and hope you have a wonderful day/night!

Ok, Ihave found a few other stamps I love...

HAHA!! Don't we all? Thanks to Donna , blaming her! I had been loving her Doodlefactory cards for a long time, every since she posted her first one that I saw, andI finally broke down and bought some of my own! What can I say...I LOVE them! They are so fun and whimsical! And I love those kind of cards. Here's my first Doodlefactory card using the country collection:

This little scene was so fun to make for me. I used Sfen (rabbit I think he is) and Clara the cow. Sfen is sad because all that is in his mailbox is a spider web. And Clara has busted out of the fence checking the mailbox with him, lol! She has this look of 'figures nothing there' to me, lol! Ok, I so could just write a story of all these characters! I can tell you, I ordered this unmounted, my first time to ever order any stamps like that. I decided to wait and use them till I could get some of the EZ cling... I was thinking I wouldnt be able to mount this and they work right, or I'd mess it up someway, BUT, it was no trouble at all! This is one big stamp set! You get sooo many stamps for the price...LOVE that! (AND if you use this code: ( dbakerdis ) without the ( ), you can save an additional 10% off your order from Starving Artists Stamps...Donna told me to tell ya'll about that!) Ok, I'll hush now, but I do love these....I have got to order the sentiments that match this set now for sure! And I'm sure more sets too....THANKS Donna!! LOL! (although DH seems to have a different opinion...) haha!

Card Details:
Stamps: Doodlefactory Country Collection from Starving Artists Stamps
Papers: All SU! cardstock
Accessories: JustRite stamper for sentiment, colored pencils and OMS, oval punch, pop dots, versamark ink pad, ribbon and brads from Michaels, button brads from Gina K Designs

Thanks for taking the time to stop by! TGIF everyone! and enjoy your weekend!

p.s. How do you glue your dews?? LOL! I mean dew drops that is....
p.p.s. The colored pencils I used? They are the cheap RoseArt pencils found at Wal-mart, 72 count. So far, I do not see the 'gotta have them' craze over Prisma colored pencils. These worked the same to me! I tried Prisma colors in a 12ct pack and the lead broke so bad on me that I havent used them since!

Boo!

Well, all good things come to an end as the saying goes...this is my last week as Mel's guest designer...I know, sad for me. BUT it sure isn't the last of the Tee's you will see from me! This set will never go out of style or season, because you can make it YOUR style and WHATever season you want!

I decided to make this one Halloween style! (I again apologize for the dark photo...hopefully the sun will be out today!) I used to have a tee that was all black and mean white eyeballs, so tried to simulate that, lol! I drew the eyes on the bright green paper, then used a little circle punch for the pupils, then glued all together and onto the black stripe on the shirt. (my hubby says it looks like ta-tas poking out a shirt, lmao...green ones?? hahaha!) I also used Gina K's Happy Haunting set. That's the spooky house and spider webs on the card! LOVE this set too!

I have had so much fun with this set! Can ya tell? LOL! And I want to thank Melanie for giving me the opportunity to showcase her stamps that I love sooo much! Thanks Mel, I hope I did you proud! Looking forward to next month's release! Which will be September 5th by the way...(counting down here! LOL, seriously having Gina K release party withdrawals....)

Thanks for stopping by and if you were here earlier, yea I messed up, lol! I wasnt for sure which card Mel was using....*embarrassed face*

Well, ok I give up....

NOOO! Not on card making, NEVER! This is waay too much fun! And meeting all the wonderful people online that I have, nope not ANYtime soon! I mean give up on getting a good picture outside! The rain is refusing to go away! So I took this in my dark house. I never realized how dark my house's lighting is until I started card making, lol!

I made this card using my new Unity Stamp Co. So and So loves...that I WON last Thursday during Hip Hop Thursday! Its a blast, you all should come..chances to win free stamps and lots of good chatting! It's in the Unity company forum on SCS! Ok, heres the card, and again, so sorry its soo dark:

I was trying to make them look like birch trees...did I kinda succeed? LOL! I used this weeks color challenge on SCS, blush blossom, close to cocoa, and ruby red. I kinda like these colors together myself. I stamped with close to cocoa ink on the blush blossom with the tree stamp. Then used my colored pencils to add some brown. I then took my white gel pen and just kinda went horizontally back and forth trying to make it look like the bark. I had to put DH and my initials, or USED to be initials on it...that spot just screamed for some initials to me, lol!

Card Details:
Stamps: So and So loves.... from Unity Stamp Company, Technique Tuesday peek-a-boo set for the xo and love
Papers: All SU! cardstock
Accessories: SU! hodge podge hardware, ribbon from PTI, paper piercing tool and pad, white gel pen, colored pencils and OMS.

I hope it doesnt look too bad being so dark, I know it bugs me to death though...If the sun decides to come back out in the next few days, Im going to take a better picture for sure, lol! I looked at radar and this stuff is just hanging around, coming up from the gulf:

A picture of the radar over my area for anybody interested...see me? Im the one floating down the red river, rofl!!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and hope you are having a wonderful day! And dont forget tomorrow is my last day (sad face) as Mel's guest designer, so will be posting another Tee!! I still havent got tired of this set!

Surprise!! Love snail mail!

Well, SOMEtimes its good! Just look what I got in the mail today! *big grin*

This came today from Donna, who I am getting to know and I admire her work so much, and she sent ME this! How cute is this??? I love these Doodlefactory creatures so much she does, they always make me smile! (I also had to order a set of my own too, lol!) And see the little charm on the scissors? Isnt that neat?! OMG I love it! You made my day Donna, I cant tell you how much....I'll just say it came at a VERY good time! Big ole hugsssss to you and I'm not letting go first....;)

p.s. I think I figured out how to disable the word verification thingy, let me know if I did or not! LOL! I hate those things, lol, so dont want it on mine either.

A 3D Challenge!

I do believe this is my first 3D item I have made. Unless a coaster counts, lol. But Pam and Carrie have opened a new blog called 3D Design Challenge. This is their first challenge to make this little box, the instructions and all the info is on their site. I had such fun making this!

I'm not for sure if I did it right, because there were these little notches to cut out and I dont know what those were for, lol. I didnt use them. But I still think my box turned out ok? I am going to put some incense in this and a little incense burner and give to a friend of mine. I decorated it with the stamp all the way around, in the same fashion, but on the 'front' one I put the little brads on the flip-flops. I took two photos, trying to show the scored lines on the bottom of the box and the how I distressed the edges, but still not showing too good. My 'handle' for the box...I made it like I was making those hemp bracelets, just knotted on both ends inside the box is all. I used to make lots of those when my daughter was younger, alll her friends just had to have them, and varity of colors! LOL! And actually now, I'm seeing them back in the stores.

The temperature when I got up this am was 68 degress! How nice is that?!! Although it looks like its going to rain, again! Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Well, what can I say?

If you visit my blog, even just now and then, you will know what a big Gina K Design Fan I am! Gina's blog was the first blog I encountered when I started making cards and the first online store I ordered from, and that was alll it took, I was hooked! Not only are they such gorgeous images, high quality product, but they are sooo versatile, and work so well together! I could go on and on...lol! But I'll just get on to the card....

For this card I used the Flowers for Daisy set by Asela Hopkins. This set was made in honor of a friend of Asela's that is fighting cancer and for a limited time, part of the sales go to the American Cancer Society. How awesome is that?? Nearly everyone of us have been touched by cancer in one way or another..its an evil disease and any contributions we can make are beneficial to finding a cure!
For the card, I used the stained glass technique, the daisy is stamped on acetate, and painted (with a toothpick) with glass paints. The 'DP' I used is actually a piece of hand-dyed linen from my counted cross stitch stash. I hand stitched around it (must get sewing machine, lol!) to give it a bit more pop. Then the painted piece is mounted over it with the brads. I wish it would photograph better, to see the stained glass look. I tried all kinds of which a ways, but this was the best I could get, lol! I also used the daisy on the blue cardstock with versamark ink. The daisy 'ribbon' is from Wal-mart that I have had forever. Such a fun card to make, and such a wonderful sentiment that comes in this set also.

Ok, I couldnt stop at just ONE card! LOL! Like I said, I have been using Gina's stamps since February, the time I started making cards, and have loved everyone of them...there isnt a set that she has in her store that I dont like! And how could a do post, about Gina K stamps without doing one from one of my most favorite illustrators? Yep, Melanie Muenchinger!

For this card, I actually used a total of FIVE stamp sets! LOL! Thats what I mean about how versatile and interchangeable these stamps are. I used Mel's Little Tees, Just so Hippy, Just So Hoppy, Gina's Just Be-Claws, and You Are My Sunshine! I used versamark, heat embossing on some of the images, CB folder, paper piercing, twine, and one of the daisy's from the ribbon used on the previous card. Each section of the river rock color is cut and I ran the edges in river rock ink to bring them out more. Now for the short set...to make it, I just cut the sleeves off the solid Tee, used the bottom of the Tee for the shorts! Was super simple! I'd wear this outfit! LOL!

Here I go again being long winded!! So sorry! But when I am excited about something I tend to do that! Like I said, I have been using Gina's stamps since I started making cards back in February, they are my 'go to' stamps...I have branched out a bit, lol, but still come back to my favorites! And I always do a countdown till the new release date...this time its in the first week of September...OMG so far away...haha!

Thanks for stopping by today, and hope I wasnt TOO long winded for ya! Have a beautiful day!

p.s. Yea, you know I'm trying out for Gina K's Design Team Spotlight! LOL! I think its so awesome how they are doing the design team now, and maybe, one of these days my dream come true!

Just hanging around...

Howdy all and welcome back for my 3rd week as Melanie's guest designer! I can't believe its been 3 weeks, and then only one more...:(. I have enough Little Tees made up to last for, oh, about 2 months at least of posts! LOL! They are sooo much fun to make and design! I will glimpse something on TV and think, oh, I can do that on a Little Tee! Am I obsessed or what? I have a my cigar box just full of the tees I have made up, one day they will ALL be made into cards. Ok, on to the card for today!

Does anybody remember THIS shirt? Weellll, couldn't leave out the girls!

What inspired both of these shirts actually was my BIL AND SIL. They came over one day in matching camouflage shirts, lol! She had on a pink one like this...I've never been much of a fan of camouflage, but the pink was too cute! For the solid pink shirt, I just colored it with my copic markers (hint: to get a good even coverage on large areas, just keep going over it, till it saturates through on the back, that way you know you have enough color on it!), then just drew a little line and added some brads as black buttons. For the hangers, I took my fun wire bought at Michael's and followed around Mel's hanger in the stamp set for the pattern. This wire is VERY flexible and soft, so it was easy to bend. Strung some more fun wire between the eyelets also for them to hang on. The brads were made the same way as the boy ones, just used my copics in the same colors as on the Tee! All done! (Well, mostly, lol) Stamped the butterfly from the set, used spica glitter pens on it and cut out...used my circle nesties with the sentiment and layered a few times. Also did a bit of scoring with my scor-pal and then used a piece of vellum over it just for fun, little extra added detail, lol.

Whew! Didnt mean for that to be so long! If you stuck through it, THANK you so much for putting up with my long-winded self! LOL! Be sure and stop back next week for my final (sad face) week as Mel's guest designer! I have been so honored and humbled for this position...and have thoroughly enjoyed it! How could I not, with such an awesome stamp set!
Card Details:
Stamps: Little Tees bye Melanie Muenchinger from Gina K Designs
Papers: SU! cardstock
Accessories: eyelets, brads, fun wire all from M's, copic markers, copic spica glitter pens, pop dots, scor-pal, vellum, circle nesties

p.s. I got lucky yesterday! The Hobby Lobby that I shop at had the Nestabilities! woohoo! Well, not all of them, but got the ovals I had wanted! (it was the very last ones too!) And a couple of the new embossing folders, that skinny one..forget the name right off and houndstooth...yay!

Stained Glass attempt...

I made this for this weeks Technique challenge at SCS...I didnt have any reinkers, or acetate, lol. BUT I did have stained glass paint and a piece of clear stuff that some stamps came on, so used that...I see some spots here and there that I didnt till I took the picture...bleh....But doing another one, maybe it will be better! And the sun is bright and smiling today! Yay!

FINALLY!!

The sun finally poked its beautiful face out! Briefly, but it did! So I grab one of my cards I have made, the camera and run outside to get a picture, cause the way the clouds look, I knew it would last...got card set up and got this:

Well, no matter how I tried, that water splat is just NOT gonna work on this card!! LOL! I run inside and use my heat tool to dry it and hurry back out....got a sprinkle or two on my glasses, but I WAS determined! and TA-DA!! Here we go!:

Now you see why I said that water splat wasnt gonna work on this Christmas card!? LOL! Ive been playing around with making a few Christmas cards, trying to decide what I want to send out to the 'special' friends and family...need about 5-7 cards for that. The other cards will be more simple. Although this one really was too. The backside of the circle is identical to the front, except the poinsettia is not layered and dimensional. I attached it with a single brad up top so that the recipient could remove it and hang on the tree if they wanted to. I think I kinda like this, it went quick too. You cant see the spica glitter pen goodness in the photo either :(.

Card Details
Stamps: Bitty Christmas Tags from Unity Stamp Company
Papers: SU! real red cardstock, green, black, and brown from Hobby Lobby, white is GP
Accessories: circle nesties, copic markers, spica glitter pens, threading water punch, gold wire, gold brads, cb embossing folder, dimensionals, ribbon

Thanks once again for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Still raining here...

Ok, so I'm tired of rain! LOL! One day, even half of another day, that's fine...but 3 days of rain? Time to move on out! Besides it keeping me from getting a good photo of my cards, its dreary and depressing, zapping my creativity (hey, I got something to blame it on!! haha!) But I thought I would post this card I did for one of the Dirty Girl Challenges at SCS back in July. It was made for JulieHRR's challenge, to embrace the white space! I tried!

As anybody knows that visits my blog, this WAS a challenge for me. Not that I use alot of layers, but I love color, and bright ones at that. It was kinda fun to do though, and sure dont take you long to get one done like this! I think I must be strange, it takes me nearly allll day to make a card. I mean, I'm not sitting there STRAIGHT for hours, but will walk away and come back, having thought about something else I want to add or change about it...I play around alot with the layout of (which is my hardest thing to do, the layout part). I always feel like I have to 'tie in' all the elements of a card. (if that makes sense, hard to explain!) If I dont do that, my card will bug me to death, lol. And on a side note...I need more copics, some to match the SU! cardstock I have now...

Card Details:
Stamps: SU! A Little Bit of Happiness
Papers: PTI cardstock
Accessories: copic markers, flower rhinestone and hemp twine from M's, scor-pal, dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today, and hope to get pictures of the cards I have made later today, if the sun will at least poke its head out!

No card today, put a few pics

Well, didnt get a card done today, was busy getting stuff ready for DH to go out of town to a school. Plus its been raining here all day, wouldnt have been able to get a good picture (I take mine outside). So thought I'd share a picture of my daughter, she be my one and only. The first picture here is of her all dolled up...this was after Blake, my grandson was born, she was still taking the time to pile the make-up on, wouldnt step out of the house without it, even just to run to store to grab a coke, lol.

This second picture is of her recently, after going to college, working and a rough evening with Blake...I actually like this picture the best, without all the make-up! (yea she probably gonna kill me for posting it, haha!)

Yep, thats my drama queen. Shes 23, soon be 24 and still one, lmao. But shes my baby, and always will be. And last but not least, Blake's, my grandson's most recent Sears Studio picture, well one of them:

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! Its been so much cooler today here, was nice, makes me think fall is on the way, but I know its not YET. Nice refreshing rain that we needed around here. Maybe wont have to dust everyday this week now, lol.

Kazan's Sketch Challenge #6

Can I first say, This card gave me FITS! I have no idea why, just little things that would not cooperate! Example, brad was stuck together...ug....bent the card cause I didnt notice before I put it in the hole. Anyways, I am just tickled to have this card DONE...I wasnt about to give up on it after all I went through with it...and now I'm thinking it's a bit too Christmas-ey? maybe? Gonna use it too for the challenge in the Gina K forum.

Here's the sketch we were to go by from 2 Sketches 4 You

And here's my card:

Card Details:
Stamps: Summer Harvest from Gina K Designs (sentiment 'have fun' also from there but cant remember which stamp set at the moment)
Papers: SU! cardstock, DP is DCWV
Accessories: CB embossing folder, swiss dots, CB die for the tag, fun wire, brads, ribbon all from M's, circle nesties, spica glitter pen, pop dots

Whew!! Glad that is done, lol! But I did get 2 challenges done at one time. I'm just picking this card apart though for some reason, see all kinda of things I want to fix and wish I had of added some white dots around the black scallop maybe...oh well, its DONE! LOL! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Color Challenge

I made this card for Kristina's color challenge this week. She has so many participants that she only gave like a day to do it, so I slapped this together really quick yesterday. I have always loved her color challenges, she amazes me of the combos she comes up with, most look good and I sure would never have thought of them! Like this one! LOL! I call my cards like this SU! style cards...mainly just stamping with inks, no coloring and such, haha!

Card Details
Stamps: Floral Frenzy from PTI
Papers: SU! cardstock: basic black, pumpkin pie, rose red, summer sun, green galore, DP from M's
Accessories: CB die flowers, brads by MMs, ribbon from LSS, paper piercing tool and pad, heat embossing powders and tools, pop dots

Thanks for stopping by and stay cool if it's hot like it is here! (bleh! come on fall time!)

Let's Get Dirtee!!

Howdy all and glad you came back for my second week as Melanie Muenchinger's Guest Designer! By now, some of you have received you Little Tees stamp sets I'm sure...are you LOVING them as much as I do? OMG the things you can do with these!! Have you seen Mel's TIP SHEET? And I know it was probably hard for her to even stop with the amount of tips that she gave there even, because there are just a gazillion things you can do with this set, not to mention all the sentiment combos that are in it!

Ok, on to the card! Per my title (Mel's suggestion too by the way, hahaha!} here is my 'Dirtee' card!

Get it? It's dirTY/dirTEE hahaha! I made this card thinking 'manly' card, of course. This works for all the shade-tree mechanics out there. (my DH included!) And I risked the wrath of my DH on this one. The DP? Well, it's actually a page torn out of his beloved Ford Truck catalog, shhhhhhh!!! LOL! I took it and wadded it up and then swiped some black ink all over it...then decided it needed a fingerprint or two on it also, like he left beside my NEWLY painted wall by the light switch! I also took the shirt and slimmed the hips down to look more 'manly', added a little pocket, then cut out, wadded it up to wrinkle it and swiped some black ink on it too. All of his tees just go in the trash after he works on his truck (its an old, OLD Ford that he wants to restore), cause this is what they look like when he is done, lol. I was also trying to make the little circle with the sentiment thing look like a tire, but didnt really pull that one off. Used the screw brads from Gina K Designs and drew the little tools there, lol, and all done basically!

Card Details:
Stamps: Little Tees by Melanie Muenchinger, King of the Grill by Rupa Shevde all from Gina K Designs
Papers: Ford truck Catalog, all cardstock from SU!
Accessories: circle nesties, copic markers, hemp twine, hole punch, scor-pal, screw brads

At first, let me tell you what I tried, good laugh, lol. I wanted a tire mark across the shirt actually. So I took a piece of cardstock, laid it behind the tire and backed up, got out too look, and ..where the heck the paper go? Apparently the wind blew it away just as I was backing up, cause it had NO tire marks on it. Soooo, here we go again, but this time I made sure I poked it under the tire some so it wouldnt blow away. Got my tire mark now, light, but its there. Brought it in and its just too big...covers the whole stamp area, lol. So then made this card. THEN after making this card? I had a brilliant idea for my tire mark...I got my grandson's little toy tractor that is here and it worked great for it! BUT I'm too lazy to do the card over again, hahaha! I am saving that though cause I bet I do eventually make a card with it, lol.

Wellll, if you have stuck around till this part, I thank you soo much for stopping by! I will be posting again next week with another creation with this awesome set! Go! Buy it! You will LOVE it! And can't wait to see YOUR wonderful creations with this set.

p.s. DH still hasnt noticed the page missing yet...he walked by when I was finishing this card up and I noticed him looking at it, I kinda covered it and thought I was caught! He goes, 'what is that?? How did you get my screws attached to that?' hahaha!! wheeeewwwww

Just a little doo-dad I made...

I made this little charm using Melanie's Little Tees from Gina K Designs. I used Shrinky Dink and the charm is attached to my purse by those cell phone charm thingy's, lol, I dont know what you call them exactly. But I thought this would be a neat idea to make and send to all of your friends and ones you love, even your enemies for that matter, because cancer is a horrible thing....and nobody deserves to suffer from it, not even my worst enemy (which I dont have one, but you get my point, lol). This could be a reminder for all your girlfriends to get regular breast exams. If they have this hanging around, would remind them that someone cares deeply about them so take care of themselves!

I myself have had several family members die of cancer, 2 grandparents and the hardest, my Mom. She was one that should have been having regular exams, because by the time they found the cancer, it had spread to her bones, and they only gave her 3 months to live. Soooo, its so worth preventive care with cancer...

Ok, didnt mean to bring anybody down, but wanted to share my thoughts a bit and my little doodad I made. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
