Hey ya'll!! I decided to play in the Card Play Challenge over on the Moxie Fab World blog. So dug out an old deck of cards and came up with this:
I have a niece that is getting married in November and I am going to use this for them a 'Congrats' card! I used the 2 of hearts from the deck, to go along with the saying on the card...takes '2' hearts to build a home...get it? (and boy my little house sure looks pink in this photo!) LOL! I like how it turned out and I think they will too...at least I know my niece will, I don't know him too good yet, lol!
Today is TGIF!! We are suppose to have my grandson this weekend, so looking forward to that! I only wish I had half the energy he does! :D Hope you have a wonderfully creative weekend!
Card Details:
Stamps: Home Is by Tami Mayberry from Gina K Designs
Papers: Gina K cardstock and old SU! retired dp
Accessories: playing card, copics, circle nesties, twine, vellum, distress inks and sponge, stayz-on ink, brads, gesso, scissors used to distress the edges, scor-tape.

It's official!
Hey ya'll!! Yep, it's officially FALL!! Somebody needs to tell Mother Nature that here in Texas though, lol! It's creeping up in to the mid 90's here again after teasing us of some cooler days..bleh....
Well, this card is inspired by the HOPES of Fall arriving here and staying! LOL!
I colored the flowers VERY quickly with some SU! water based markers...not real happy how that turned out...kinda gives it a chalky effect when colored on this ivory base weight cardstock from Gina K Designs, and I LIKE that about it, LOL! I gave it dimension by sponging the edges while the diecut was still in the die using distress inks. This was a really quick card for me...only took me about 30 minutes! yay me! LOL!
Hope you are having a wonderfully creative week...I've been cleaning out my craft room again...I think this stuff just multiplies on its one...cause I sure don't remember buying some of the things I'm finding..hahaha! Thanks for stopping by!!
Card Details
Stamps: Thankful For You from Gina K Designs
Papers: All from Gina K including the DP
Accessories: tear drop circle nesties from Spellbinder, nail head stickers, twine, button, distress inks and sponge, glue dots, SU! markers.

CPS #236 ...Grey Sunflowers?
Hey ya'll!! Yes, I colored my sunflowers grey, lol! I saw a pattern in the Vera Bradley magazine that inspired these colors...love alot of those patterns and my purses that I have too! :D Here is my card:
And I followed the sketch, more or less:
I love coloring in grey tones like this. Reminds me of black and white photos, which I also love. If you look closely at a b/w photo, you will see, it really isn't just b/w...its greys like this! :D I think I'm getting a bit better at sketch challenges...I'm not having AS hard of a time doing them as I used to, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you are having a wonderfully creative week!
Card Details:
Stamps: Holiday Basket by Melanie Muenchinger from Gina K Designs and the sentiment is from Home Is by Tami Mayberry, also from Gina K
Papers: Gina K cardstock
Accessories: twine, CB folder, scor-pal, scor-tape, pop dots, copic markers, white gel pen, Zva Creative rhinestone swirls, SU! small oval punch, corner chomper, white chalk ink with sponge.

Just a quick tip and Hubby's Pick!
Hey ya'll!! Good Monday morning! It is a good morning because we finally got some much needed rain here in my part of TX...it even settled the dust this time, lol! And the temp is a bit cooler too, so I am tickled! Makes me happy to know that Fall is on the horizon!!
I thought I'd show you a quick tip of how I stamp those long skinny sentiments, and make them more stable, to try to keep them from 'rocking' I call it. This is in the Gina K Design's stamps, which are the red rubber foam backed stamps. When the stamps arrive, (pre-cut now!) I don't throw away the extra red rubber you have after punching out all the images and sentiments. I trim off a long section of it like this:
Then I cut that long section into approximately 1.5 -- 2.0 inches long pieces:
I then place my sentiment on the acrylic block, ink it, then place the scrap pieces of red rubber beside the sentiment like this:
Tada! More stability when stamping those long skinny sentiments! :D
And I haven't done this in awhile. a Hubby's Pick I call it. I show him all my cards made with the most recent release from Gina K, and he picks his favorite. This is the card he picked, which I don't think I showed on my blog yet, but did at the release party:
I know, I know...!! Those scrabble tiles AGAIN!! ROFL!! I'll get tired of them soon enough, I'm sure, but for now, yea, I'm loving them! I got these off of Ebay, and they came with some epoxy stickers that go over the top, it just gives them a really cool look when added to them to me! Here is a close up of the boo words:
This was a super quick and easy card too. I did use some distress ink stains, peeled paint, on the tiles, so they would match the green cardstock more...loving that distress stain too! I purchased these at Stampers Dream Store, Michelle's online store. Michelle lives over around Shreveport, which is only a hop, skip and jump away and I have actually met her in person, she is so awesome! She always ships THAT day, and being so close, I get it the very next day! Got to love THAT! :D
Ok, that's all for now! I'm sure I will be back with another post soon! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Stamps: Celebrate the Season by Theresa Momber from Gina K Designs
Papers: Echo Park dp the Apotheoary Emporium, Gina K cardstocks
Accessories: scrabble tiles, epoxy stickers, Tim Holtz on the edge dies, black craft thread, peeled paint distress stain, scor-tape.

Another sketch challenge...
This card was made for another sketch challenge over on the Moxie Fab World, The horizontal sketch challenge this time. Here is my card I made:
The sketch:
I pretty closely followed the sketch and there really isn't a lot of stamping on this card. The little heart on one of the scrabble tiles and the sentiment are the only stamped images. I love how this turned out though! And it was a really quick too....so...got to love that for ME, LOL!
That's all for today...kinda short, but I got sore fingers...or the edge of my fingers for some reason. It's like an ingrown fingernail, but on two of my fingers and it pretty much hurts to do anything, especially type, ug! Hopefully it won't last long...Hope you have a wonderfully creative day!
Card Details:
Stamps: Home Is by Tami Mayberry from Gina K Designs
Papers: Gina K, PTI cardstock, DP is Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden
Accessories: scrabble tiles, distress inks and distress tool, ribbon, MS button punch/embosser, twine, glue dots, scor-tape.

Gina K Design September Release Inspiration Blog Hop, Day 3!!
Hey ya'll! And welcome back to our final day of inspiration hops for this release. Although, most of us will still have some other goodies to show you until our next release, lol! Today, we once again have two stamp sets to showcase for you. Up first is the new One Free With Three called Cool Beans ...this set is gonna hit the spot with LOTS of coffee lovers! If you don't love coffee, bet you know somebody who does! Here is what I did for today:
I made a CAS card, and in fact, it uses the CAS challenge from SCS this week, a sketch one. I love making my own dp, and this is what I did with this. I used the coffee plant image to make the DP you see, love how it turned out!
Up next is a new one illustrated by Gina called My True Love Gave To Me...Yep! it's getting that time! Time for us to be thinking about Christmas cards and goodies! I decided to make a kleenex box cover:
And here are all four sides:
I kept it whimsical and rustic, with the pompoms and the distressing of the edges. I just used some copics to color the images with, except for the three french hens, I wanted them to be more white, so I paper pieced them with white cardstock...I used Ivory cardstock for the base so this made them pop out more I think. I am also gonna enter this into the challenge over on the Scor-Pal Blog!!
Ok, ready for more awesome eye candy!? Here are the links to my fellow rocking DT! And as always, be sure and leave a comment, you just might when a stamp set of your choice if you have already ordered these sets! Two will be chosen to win from today's comments also!

Gina K Design September Release Inspiration Blog Hop, Day 1!!
Hey Ya'll!! Welcome to our first day of some awesome inspiration for you, at least I hope to give you some! :D Today we have two stamps set to showcase for you. Up first is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Holiday Basket...this basket reminds me of the Longaberger Baskets that I have one small one of and I only set it out at Christmas, that is where my inspiration for this card comes from:
I have a red cloth in my basket like this too! Although, I don't put sunflowers in mine at Christmas time, it's usually holding Christmas cards. I went with a Fall-'ish' scene for this one. I used some 4 x 4 square material that was precut that I got at Hobby Lobby, that is the striped background and the little basket cloth hanging out. And this is sooo much fun to color too! LOVE that about it!! Sometimes, I just get in a mood to color! :D
Up next is Rupa Shevde's newest set called Under The Weather...oh my! This set has some CUTE images in it! I decided to use the oh so sad little bear in it:
Isn't he just too cute!? And looks so pitiful...makes you want to hug him, lol! I colored him with copics and prisma pencils, my favorite way to color images! Gave him some dimension by popping up his head and the ice pack and the medicine bottle. I love how cute this turned out...I usually can't do cute, but think I did this time, haha!!
Ok, ready for the most AWEsome inspiration around? Then hop on over to my fellow DT's Blogs!! You won't be disappointed!! And don't forget to leave comments on all the blogs because we will be picking two winners to win these stamps sets!!

Welllll, my goodness!!
Hey ya'll!! Wow! I didn't realize it had been over a week since I made a blog post! Shame on me! I got all busy and excited about getting the new Gina K Design stamps, making new goodies to show next week and just ...forgot! So sorry! I'll get a new something up tomorrow I hope! I got some new Flourishes stamps that I WON!! And they are just making me itch to ink them up, lol!
I've been watching a little bird in our back yard....He's injured or something. When he takes off to fly, he flies all crooked and can barely get up in the air! He will come down usually in the mornings early, after most of the other birds have gone and then in the evenings. It's like he will eat forever because it's so much effort to get there, he's gonna eat as much as he can, lol! I tried getting a picture of it, he turned his head like he was shy though....
It lets us get pretty close too...Billy says it kitty cat bait, but not while I'm watching! LOL! And today, it seems like it is flying a BIT better! yay! We also have a hummingbird that seems to be really curious about us! He or she, will fly right up in our faces, I mean, so close I could just raise my hand and touch it, stare at me for a minute then zooms off...strange! LOL! But I do love watching all the birds though...lordy...sound like an OLD woman! haha!
Thanks for stopping by and hanging with me while I got all preoccupied! LOL! Hope you have a wonderfully creative day! and TGIF tomorrow!! :D
