Gina K Designs January Release Inspiration Hop, Day 1!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our January Inspiration Hop! Did you get to go to the party last night? Lots of fun samples there too last night that the DT showcased...and it's always so fun chatting with everybody!

Ok, up today we have two new stamp sets...first up is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Stately Flowers 3...here is what I have done today with it:

I used that big ole gorgeous Magnolia bloom in the set...which is the state flower of Louisiana by the way, lol! I colored mine with a white prisma pencils after stamping onto kraft cardstock, love doing that, the coloring on kraft! I added dimension by stamping some extra petals and cutting those out and popping them up with dimensionals. Love this effect too! I am so loving Melanie's state flowers series of stamps! Such gorgeous flowers in them plus also learning a thing or two because I look everyone of them up to see how they are SUPPOSE to be colored! :D

Up next is the newest set by Rupa Shevde called Mehndi Wishes and here is my creation with this:

Before we received this set, I had to google 'Mehndi'...oh my goodness! what a beautiful form of artwork this is! I want to get some of the tattooing done on my foot now! I probably will this summer...and when I do, I will show a pic of it on my blog! I decided to use the horse image for this card and I could not get the idea of a carousel horse out of my head so this is what I went with! It is gold embossed and I used a paper drinking straw for the 'pole'.

Ok, ready for my awesome eye candy? Here is the list of the DT for today:
