Hey y'all!!
Good morning! Today several members of the CardMaker Blog team and Gina K. Designs team are showcasing stamps used in Melanie Muenchinger's newest book Fabulous Stamped Frames published by Annie's.
This cardmaking tutorial book features 36 projects using seven of Melanie's bold and line art frame stamp sets from Gina K Designs. These versatile sets each contain a frame stamp large enough to fill an A2 card front, which can be rotated portrait or landscape style, along with coordinating images and sentiments, that allow both beginners and advanced crafters to enjoy endless design possibilities for year-round themes, occasions and styles. Not all sets are needed to get a ton of instruction and ideas from this book! Melanie challenged us to each put our own spin on one of the sets, so we hope you enjoy what you see today! She and Gina will be sharing videos as well to show more of the book and some of the stamps in action.
Here is what I made for today:
I decided to use Mel's Wild At Heart frame set because I LOVE wild flowers and this set reminds me of how beautiful something so wild can be! I used the emboss resist technique on this. I heat embossed the frame stamp with clear embossing powders, then used distress markers to color in the 'lines'. And you dont have to worry about going off the lines, it just wipes right off! Ahhh, the beauty of emboss resist for messy color-ers like me! :D Here are the images included in this stamp set:
Wild At Heart Stamp Set
There is also a prize! A gift certificate to use on any sets, templates, digital paper or studio cut files in Melanie's Line of Gina K Designs Products. To enter, leave a comment on the blogs in our hop today. One commenter will be randomly chosen and posted Friday on Gina's Blog. The more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win. Finally, all seven sets frame stamp sets are all on sale for the first time ever!
Fabulous Stamped Frames Sale at Gina K Designs.
Take this opportunity to stock up on your favorites or complete your collection. See full details for the prize and the sale on Gina's blog.
Please enjoy the hop! Good luck on winning the gift certificate! Thanks for hopping today!

Up first today I have Becky Oehlers' newest set, Beautiful Banners. Here is my card for today with this set:
I used the 'congratulations' stamp and made a card for a new home owner, thus the little wooden house in the corner! :D Besides the awesome banners like this one, this set also has a wonderful woodgrain stamp in it. I showed this card at the release party:
I saw a tree carved so I used some SB dies for the words to try to give it an engraved look. :D But see that awesome woodgrain? how fun is that?!
Up next is Debbie Corbari's Darling Divas...and this time we have Aloha Diva, Impressed Diva and Marathon Diva. For my card today, I used one of the sentiments from the Impressed Diva:
I have a couple of priceless friends that will listen to me and give me some good advice at times when I need it...cooler heads prevail and such, haha! So this card was made with them in mind! I did some folds with the dp, to make it look like it had been 'ironed' LOL! Here also is a card I showed at the release party, using Marathon Diva:
The sign below her bounces too! I call her my wobbly runner...because that would be me if I was to run...WOBBLY! LOL!
Ok, ready for more wonderful creations to ogle at? Here ya go!! Just follow these links to my fellow ohsotalented DT!

Up first today is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Stately Flowers 7, another awesome addition to this collection! I so love all of these state flower stamps! Here is a card I showed at the party the other night:
I just used the sentiment and butterfly stamps on this card. I wanted to show that you do not have to be one that has those awesome coloring skills for flowers to enjoy this set! Melanie even made such an awesome card with the flowers and NO coloring! So do not feel intimidated by these stamps, thinking that you need to be able to color, you dont! :D
Up next is Tami Mayberry's newest set called Simple Numbers. This is another 'simple' but awesome concept for a stamp set by Tami!! Here is what I did with it:
Im all ready for my daughter's birthday in November! :D She loves red, so that is why everyone of the cards I make for her birthday are red, lol! And yep, she's the big 30 this year...I definitely will be rubbing that in to her, haha!
Ok, one last card that I made today, or rather yesterday, and with this one, I combined Mel's, Tami's and the new free stamp you can get when you spend $25.00!! Here it is:
I used the flowers from Mel's set, and embossed them in gold. I used the numbers and sentiment (The Big, and 'th') from Tami's set and then the free stamp 'Congratulations', and made an 50th anniversary card! I used gold and silver cardstock too, it looks awesome IRL! I did some 'fussy' cutting on some of the flowers to pop them up...(this is my challenge today over on StampTV!! Come Play along with us!) My SIL's parents are celebrating their 50th this September and this card is for them. :D
Ok, ready for more wonderful eye candy? Here ya go!! Just follow these links to my fellow DT!

I also wanted to share I card I overlooked from last month's release of the STV kit, Days of Summer.
For my card I used the new designer papers called Watercolor Garden. I put a piece of vellum over it, to mute it a bit. And on the vellum I stamped and heat embossed some white butterflies. I painted the metal ornate piece with some gesso, to tone down the metal a bit too...and did a bit of sponging on it to match the colors of the papers and cardstock I used. I also sanded over the metal pieces to give them even more of an aged look. I love how this turned out, cant believe I overlooked it, ha!
Ok, that's all for now! Hope to see you at the party!
Card Details:
Stamps: Days of Summer StampTV kit, A Wish for You, from Gina K Designs
Papers: Gina K cardstocks and dp is Watercolor Garden, also from Gina K
Accessories: vellum, white embossing powder, versamark ink, heat gun, ornate metal piece from the Tim Holtz idealogy line, brads, seam binding ribbon, distress tool, scor-tape.

Hey y'all!! Welcome to a special little hop that some of us DT from Gina K Designs and the CSS group have put together for you today! Hope you enjoy!
Welcome to this special July 4 Gina K. Designs Hop!!!! Some of the Design Team and the Center Stage Spotlight Team have some fun cards and projects to share with a patriotic theme and flair!!! And Gina has a special sale incentive too!!! Check out these 2 new Duos:
From Thursday, July 4 thru Sunday, July 7

Orders of $50.00 or more get Harvest of Memories and Unforgettable.
Arent those two duos just awesome?! I just LOVE all the duos that Gina comes out with! And how fun to be able to get them free!! :D
And for our hop today I have made a few patriotic cards for you....I am VERY patriotic and LOVE getting a chance to celebrate the good ole US of A's birthday!! We were also to use some older Gina K Design sets!
This first card is dedicated to a couple of my family members...one, my brother-in-law Todd Cummings...he has served in the Air Force for over 20 years now...active duty and then Reserves. And also dedicating to a brand spanking new soldier, my great nephew, Corey Brazile...he is now a US Marine! We all are so very proud of Corey! What a decision to make as such a young age....I still think of him as a small boy!! LOL! Ok, enough of my babbling...here is my card:
This card has ALOT going on with it, lol! First, the background was created by using some patriotic papers, layers one by cutting out and laying at different angles. Then i applied Gesso over all of it and then sponged to give an aged look. The Stamp I used is from the set Masculine Tags and was stamped 3 times...cut out using several different areas of the stamp to layer it. I also popped it up and made like a little pocket to create a spot from some tags. Here is a pic of the tags:
and a close up of the 'courageous' charm I added. I also embossed this with gold embossing powder:
ALL soldiers, no matter what country you are from, are VERY Courageous to me!!
And I also made a few quick cards...
I will be sparkly and glittery all week after making this card! haha! Me and glitter...well, thats another story for another day, lol! BUT, I AM trying to get over my fear of it! :D
And one more:
This is the card that got my hands very inky! I used distress inks to stain the red and blue doilies, getting it ALL over me because it didnt try very quick, lol! I had to zap it with my heat gun to dry it good. But this is suppose to look like the buntings or swags that you see around bandstands...at least that was what I was going for, lol!
Ok, ready for more awesome eye candy!?? Here ya go! I cant wait to hop myself!!
Thanks sooo much for stopping by today and joining in our celebrating the birthday of our country! Even if you arent from the USA, hug a soldier today!! Tell them how much you appreciate them!! :D
