The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.
Today, we have another 2 sets to showcase for you! These sets so rock! :D Up first today is Melanie Munchinger's newest set called, Stamper's Favorites...and they truly are! Here it is:
I did a one layer card...unless you count the bird and flower, lol! I used circle nesties to cut out a mask to use, then placed that on my card and did some creative sponging with distress inks. I wet my fingers and dropped some water onto that area after sponging. I love the effect this gives with the distress inks! For the hummingbird (and he's about accurate in size!)I used distress inks and water colored him and then took versamark ink and inked it all over then poured clear embossing powder over it...I wanted him shiny! He is! :D
Here is the card I showed at the Release Party with the hummingbird too:
For this one, I used mixed medias...gesso, modeling paste, spray inks...everything but the kitchen sink! but I so loved playing with all of our mixed media stuffs we have out there. Its got stenciling and sponging and misting and copics...lol!
And here is the card with Carolyn's set, Elegant Flourishes that I showed at the release party too:
And again on this one, mixed media style one! I used paint, gesso, heat embossing, sponging with distress inks...I do so love how the Flourishes give just the right touch!! So thrilled to have these to add to my GKD stamp sets. Gonna be a well used one I do believe! :D
