Up first today Is Melanie's new set, "A Year Of Flowers 3"

I have made several with this set, and still have so many to put all together!  Here is wha I have for today:

I first made the background by stamping the flowers and leave all over a piece of cardstock.  Then after stamping, and I bleached the flowers, I cut the cardstock piece into a bunch of inchies!  For this card, I took the inchies and embossed them with UTEE to get a tiled look.  Edges were distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink also. Super fun technique to do!  :D  And then, since I had leftovers from this card, I made TWO more!  Here they are:

I used up all of my scraps, go me!  LOL!

Next up is Theresa's new set, Birds and Blossoms 2.

And we are totally THRILLED T is back!  :D Here is my first card with this set:

Last week my fellow DT, Karen, did the Bokeh technique for Funday Friday, and I HAD to try this one!  It is very fun, and addicting!  LOL!  I have one more card with this technique I will be showing tomorrow.

Here is another card I made with T's set:

I used that big and little cherry blossom flowers to stamp the background, using white ink, and then colored and cut out two of the flowers.  The 'happy' in the heart is actuall a Heidi Swapp mini stencil.  Did a bit of distressing on the edges with the TH embossing tool too.

  4. Really neat variation on the tiled cards. Also love the Bokeh one. I have no patience for doing the Bokeh technique, but I love looking at other people's cards! TFS!

  32. WOW Cat, you go girl! Beautiful and probably way too many steps involved for this simple
Girl. I have never heard of inchies before ... Are they like one inch squares? I often like something slightly askew
Or the torn look. So I really, really liked the torn look of the black mat that looks all torn. That is really cool.
So my love of it makes me wonder... Did you use the Tim Holtz distress tool? Is there one? Is there an embossing tool?
How did you do that? It really sets off all the other parts of the card. You rock!

  36. Isn't it fun to take an idea from one card and apply it to your own project? As you have done with Karen's Bokeh, I am going to try with your bleach and UTEE (whatever that is). You have really peaked my interest with this card. I think I'll try your card, then try something on my own.
