Hiya! Hope your pre-new year's week is going fantastic, mine is getting better I think. Went to doc and it was bronchitis. I have meds and an inhaler now sooo...I can BREATHE!! Breathing is good...yep. Ok, on to my card...
I made this card for two challenges in the Gina K forum. Joanne Basile had one called 'buttons and bows, all askew' and Gina had one called 'from one card to another'. I think the button and bow and askew is obvious what I did, lol, but on the 'from one card to another' we were to use a store bought card in some way on our card. This is the store bought card I used...I almost forgot to take a pic of it, I had already stamped out the image on it in this pic:
And this is my card I made:
I think it turned out kinda cute myself. Except, where I added glitter and the glittery snowman just doesnt show up good in the picture...looks like its just got something all over it lol. I also tried using a black background in my light box this time. I prefer the white myself, BUT, I do not like how my pictures were coming out pinkish looking. And I couldnt figure out why that was happening, lol! Gonna have to call my photography friend, Miss Lisalooo!!
Ok, thats it for now! Thanks for stopping in today!

Yay! A card finally!
Wheew! Am I the only one that is glad things are sorta winding down now? Dont get me wrong, I love Christmas, the holiday spirit, the TRUE meaning, but come Dec. 23 or around that...I find myself grumbling at drivers on the road too, lol! Anyways, hope you and your families had a wonderful Christmas!
I made this card for a challenge in the Gina K forum at SCS...'Off-Kilter' challenge...you were to have at least one piece of paper on an angle. I almost covered mine up, lol!
I used Mel's set 'Have a Cookie'. Not her newest release but my first time to get to play with it.. awesome set! Has so many little sayings to go with it and fantastic images to color. Look for more from this set! There is a lot of dimension on this card, you cant really tell it from the picture though.
I had another card made but it kinda got destroyed...grandson REALLY liked it! So having to redo that one. Ive been sick lately...started off as a cold, now got a horrible cough and I do believe it might be bronchitis again. I have had that enough to know how I feel with it, lol. But I'm trying to fight it...I always feel like if I lay down and give into it, I'll get worse, haha! I know, not true, but I still been forcing myself to stay up when all I want to do is take naps all day long...bleh...If I'm not better in the next few days, I am going to go to doc. Get some antibotics.
Ok, thats about it for now. Hope to have another card soon!

Just letting everybody know...
..who CARES to know, lol, that I am still around. I guess you might have figured I kinda took a break from blogging. Just hectic time of year, as most know, and I took the time to try to organize my stuffs. Man oh man...thats a job and still not really done. But at least I know where everything is. Now if I can only get DH to leave it ALONE!! I am so upset with him...who throws a box away without looking to see what is in it first??? Well, my DH does. I was literally sick over it... I know my card making friends will understand when I tell you it was a box of cards I had made, mostly my Christmas ones...gone...in the trash..I cried tears over it...I know he didnt do it on purpose...but like I said..who throws away a box without looking at whats in it????...He is so in the doghouse for I dont know how long....
--Cat
p.s. I hope to be back posting cards in the next few days, at least by Friday. I have been rushing trying to make a few more Christmas cards..and am really tired of them right now, lol.

I made this to shut my sister up..
Also made for the color challenge at SCS today too! My sister keeps bringing up that I have all this SU! stuff and never use it...I do too, cardstock alll the time. LOL! But this is a totally SU! card. Except for the dimensional tape I used on it. So, there ya go Kelli! (and she NEVER hardly comments on my cards! Some sister huh???)haha!
And I have questions for anybody that uses a light box to take your pictures in...if you have the time, email me! I think I have got the wrong kind of box or something...orrr it's the new camera I havent figured out yet, lol! But the light box I got is this one:
My Light Shed
well, they call it a 'shed' here. Anyways...only if you have time and I will write back with my questions!
Hope everybody having a wonderful Tuesday. Wet, cold and yucky here. I see a few fine snowflakes mixed in out my window, but only about 35 degrees so it wont stick.

How about a little old school...
Yay! I love old school stuff, lol! Remember MONEY card holders? I used to love seeing those skinny looking envelopes with my name on it, haha! Cause you knew exactly what it was and could start making your list then! Anyways, instead of giving plastic this year (lot of gift card theft going on around here) I am giving my nephews MOOOlah! So I came up with this holder for it:
I took a piece of cardstock measuring 9" x 6 1/2" and scored the 9" side at 3" and 6". On the far right scored panel, I measured down about 1 1/2" and cut that section out and also used corner rounder scissors to round that one corner. I put tacky tape on the very bottom edge so the money wouldnt slip out the bottom there too. I put the patterned paper down before doing that also. Super simple and works! I know that my sisters and brothers boys eyes will light up with money! LOL! I got one more to do and those will be all done. That's for MY side of the family..DH side a different story...its so HUGE, we just get together and play that game where you put #'s on the presents and you can get someone elses if you want..I forget what it's called though!
Ok, that's it for today! I'm getting more used to my camera, these were taken with it, but still outside. Havent got the light box set up yet, got to find a place for it first, lol. Not sure if I am going to like it or not...will let you know! LOL! Have a wonderful weekend!

Unity Addicts challenge..
Wow, we are into week 16! This week we were to CASE one of the DT members from Unity and I chose to CASE Jennifer Buck! I have long admired her work! So love an excuse to case her, lol! This is her card at SCS I CASEd:
Jenn's card
And here is mine:
This was really a quick card for me, loved the layout of it! I wanted to use circles like Jenn did, but that one little tree just didnt look right in a circle nestie, lol. This is also my first picture of a card with my new camera. It Canon Power Shot SX10 IS and it came with its own software for editing, which I am NOT used to. I usually use PSP to crop and resize my photos and with this one, it kinda washed the picture out when I adjusted colors (was taken inside cause its SNOWing here, well rain and snow mix, lol) and I was trying to brighten the photo and made it pink looking. sooo that will still take more getting used to. I have a light box coming so that should help too with my photos! Anyways, thats about it for today! Dont forget you got about 2 more hours to enter for the blog candy below with a card made from my sketch!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Stamp Simply Celebrates Day 7!
Howdy ya'll and welcome to DAY 7 of the Stamp Simply Celebrates! celebrations! Have you been playing along? I think this is one of the funnest most awesome celebrations I have had the honor of being a part of...so many talented ladies involved all wanting to inspire and celebrate with us!
For today, I was to make a sample for Dee's FP of food packaging. Ok, so I am SO not a baker...but I thought I could do some fudge!! Here is my sample:
And here is the top one open, I also put fudge in the bottom too:
I decided to make those cute little pizza boxes, but made 2 sizes and stacked them, cause fudge is just tooo good to only get a smell of it! haha! I used my brand new JustRite Stamper I got in the mail too! What fun this was! Well, I have to be honest here too...I cheated...I DID try to make some fudge, but it decided it wanted to be pudding and not fudge and dont think it would have packaged up very well in these little boxes. It DID taste good though, rofl. I bought this fudge from a lady down the road that makes and sells it this time of year, LOL! It is awesome fudge too. This is peanut butter swirl with walnuts...ummmhmmmmm....!!!! Ok, dont forget to check out more awesome food packaging examples today! Here are the links below:

Sharon also used my sketch and combined it with her challenge today which is an awesome way to do these challenges!
(remember, I might have posted before some have theirs up!)
I kinda followed Sharon's Stamp Simply challenge today, in not using a traditional Christmas stamp...instead I made that little thingy, that is SUPPose to be like Santa's belly and belt, lol! But then I stuck some traditional Christmas DP on it, so threw it off there for the SS challenge, lol! Notice that I dont even follow my own sketch too closely, lol! As long as you can tell the basic sketch, its all good! So this is my challenge to you...Make a card based on my sketch here. You have until WEDNESDAY DEC. 10th to link your card in this post (you dont have to have a blog to play, but I need to be able to see the picture someway!) and then on Thursday noon I will do a random drawing for my blog candy! Wanna see the candy? Of course you do!
This is a new set from Gina K Designs last release called 'My Cuppa Joe'. I love this set! It is going to be one of my favorites I can tell, so wanted to share something I love with you all. Also, Kellie from Just Rite sent Sharon's DT (I was by proxy last month, lol!) all some wonderful gifts! How awesome is THAT!? And I ended up with 2 of the Special Occasions Font and you will also have a chance to win that along with the stamp set! YAY!!
So, go! Create! And come back and link your creation here for your chance to win! I hope you are enjoying the celebrations! Sharon is such an inspiration to so many of us, and this is my way of honoring her being such an awesome person!
Thanks for stopping by! And dont forget, over on my sidebar is a link to all the Stamp Simply DT, with their awesome creations for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge today!

Stamp Simply Challenge, Express Thanks!
Hi all! Happy Friday and welcome to another Stamp Simply Challenge from Sharon (and if you read my previous post, you would know that Sharon is having a special celebration starting Monday Dec.1st! with lots of prizes, games and inspiration!)
This week's challenge is a super simple one! We were to make a card expressing thanks...no other rules, thats it! Here is my card:
I love coffee, all flavors! And so do lots of my friends, so this card came together really quick for me. This is the new stamp set from Gina K Designs called 'My Cuppa' Joe' from the last release, such fun images in this set! I also used my new label one dies that I just got at Stamper's Dream. I was so tickled to see that Michelle had got them in so had to get them...I am thinking she might be sold out right now of them...these things going like hotcakes! I can understand why, I love them too! LOL! I colored the images with koh-i-noor pencils and OMS and did a bit of sponging ( I think I getting a BIT better at it, lol) and that's about it! Simple, fun and going to a good friend of mine.
Now, go and check out the wonderful Stamp Simply DT gals! (some may not be up as early as mine, but they will be there by tomorrow!) Here are the links below:
Sharon Johnson
Julie Koerber
Dee Jackson
Jennifer Buck
Janine Orchard
Becky Oehlers
AJ Otto
Tammy Hershberger
Ok, that's it for now! And dont forget on Monday the 'Stamp Simply Celebrates!' celebrations begins!! Have a wonderful Black Friday...I plan on doing a bit of shopping myself...braving the crowd, lol!
ETA: It just dawned on me this am that this is my last week as guest designer for Sharon...I have so thoroughly enjoyed working with Sharon and her wonderful DT! They are the most encouraging and awesomely talented team! Thanks ya'll for letting me play with you this month! I will be participating in the Stamp Simply Celebrates stuffs though, so I'll be around a bit longer, lol!)

Unity Addicts Challenge Wednesday, but on Tuesday today!
Hiya, little slow about getting this up this am cause I misread the challenge...I only saw the 'red and white' not the 'thank you part' LOL! This weeks challenge was issued by Carole, it was to be a red and white card, giving thanks in some way. So this is my quickie card for this! My other one, well, its red and white, lets just say, this time of year when I hear red and white, it involves Santa! LOL! I'll have to post it another day. But here is today's card:
Super quick, nothing special...lot of paper piercing, cant see all of it in photo though. Just wanted to get it up for the challenge today and do it right! Also, to show my love of them Unity stamps! Really, they are such excellent quality and I just love the handles! I used them for all of my stamps now, not just Unity's.
Ok, that's it for now. Got some running around to do today in my NEW car, haha!
Dont forget to check out the other Unity Addicts blogs over on my sidebar listed under 'Unity Challenge Girls' ...guess I should change that since we calling it Unity Addicts now, lol.

Starving Artist Elf goodness!
I am just loving my DoodleFactory Stamps, Santa's Sweet Shoppe from Starving Artistamps! I have several images colored, and this is the one I put together today:
This little elf's name is Butterscot! Well, I know you see 5 of them there, but Butterscot is the one in the red and all the others are his helpers...they are decorating the tree, lol! Butterscot just waiting till they get down to hang his banner! Arent they just the cutest images? I love whimsical, so these were definitely for me! Just too cute I think. And one thing bothers me ...my colors always seem to change when I take a picture and resize, lol! Bugs me to death! Does this happen to anybody else? Probably the cheap camera I have I'm sure, but that soon will change...gonna get a new one next week...yay! Speaking of new....read on if you want to , its non stamping related!
Ok, so I got me a new car! woot!! Well, its almost brand new. It's a 2008 Malibu Classic LT with about 12,000 miles on it! I am sooo thrilled to have this car, compared to the hoopty I was driving I feel like I am driving a BMW! haha! I took one quick little picture of it to show a friend of mine that I got the Malibu I was talking about:
I plan on getting better pics later though of it. Anyways, thought I'd share that exciting news too. This week is busy for me, just like everybody else I imagine! With Thanksgiving here almost, lots of running around to do. And it's already got crazy in town here. I love the holiday season...but some folks act like they just loose their brains this time of year...and that's all I'll say about that, lol!
Ok, that's it for today! Hope everyone has a wonderful week, and its not too busy for you!

Stamp Simply Challenge!
Hiya all! This week's Stamp Simply Challenge from Sharon is to 'Write it on Ribbon!' We were to let our ribbon speak! This was a first for me! I had never stamped on ribbon before so that is what I decided to do:
This was a really quick card for me. I just stamped some of the images on DP, other on plain cardstock of the little quilt, then just glued them down. I had heard that you needed to use Stayz on ink for doing this, but I tried PTI's hybrid ink in chocolate brown and it worked! I did make sure I let it dry, did it first and let it lay aside while I did the rest of the card..but no smearing whatsoever! I just love how quick this card come together and I LIKE it! LOL! What a fun challenge! Now be sure and check out the awesome Stamp Simply DT! I can't wait to see what gorgeous creations they have come up with this week! Here are the links below:

Oooo bad blogger ..me...
I can't believe I havent posted since last Friday! Wow, time got away from me! LOL! I have a couple (or three) of cards to post today that I did for some of the challenges given during the Gina K Designs release party that was Thursday night.
This first one was a challenge that Mel issued called 'Mixology'. We were to use at least 3 different stamp sets to make our creation. I chose to make a little desk top calendar thing, that my sister has alreayd swiped when she came down Sunday, lol.
With this picture you can see 4 sets I used, but actually I used TEN!! I thought the calendar itself looks too plain so I stamped some kind of image on each calendar page. I wont bore you with 12 photos of this, but list what I used:
Daisy from Flowers for Daisy
Leaves from A Year of Flowers
Sentiment from Say it With Flowers
And on the Calendar pages I used:
Jan.-snowflake from The Magic of Christmas
Feb.-little heart with arrow from Just So Hippy
March- shamrock from Just So Hoppy
April- rain drops from Just So Hoppy
May- flowers from Little Tees
June- butterfly from Just So Hoppy
July- sparkles from Jumping For Joy
August- swirls from Whimsical Autumn
Sept.- apple from Whimsical Autumn
Oct.- bat from Happy Haunting
Nov.- pumpkin from Whimsical Autumn
Dec.-ornament from The Magic of Christmas
some I just stamped up in the corner of the page and others I stamped lightly over the whole calendar part.
All can be found at Gina K Designs
And this card was made for a sketch challenge issued by Jessica:
I was going for a rustic look on this card. My friend that purchases alot of my cards wants some 'manly' christmas cards, that would work for just a man... I think this will, dont you?
And one last card today! I so love these little trees from this Magic of Christmas set! Can ya tell? LOL! Here is a bright cheery one! This was done for a sketch challenge that Gina issued called 'On an angle' over at PaperCraft Planet (have you joined yet? It's sure is growing!!):
I paper pieced the trees on this one! Makes them kinda interesting looking! LOL!
Ok, thats all for today! Things been a bit busy for me lately, dont seem to get as much stamping done as I'd like to! My sister came down this Sunday from Bossier and we went out to eat and just visited and she got alot of goodies from me, lol! I had some Unity stamps that she really liked, the great big ones, cause she does more scrapbooking than anything, so I was a good sister and let her have them...remember that Kelli!! Yea, she's the baby of the family and will pout if she dont get her way, haha! I hope to go spend a weekend with her, either the one after Thanksgiving or the next one...and when I do I am going to go see Michelle from Stampers Dream! I havent actually TOLD Michelle that yet, but hoping we can meet then! haha! I want to do a bit of shopping in her store too...hehehe. I think its kinda neat, that someone out here in blog land lives that close to me (about an hour away) and would love to be able to meet them! Anyways, sorry for the long post, but wanted to get caught up...thanks for hanging in there with me!

Stamp Simply --Fun Folds!
Hi again all! Its another Friday and that means another Stamp Simply Challenge today! This weeks is called 'Fun Folds'. We were to make a card with some type of fold besides the typical fold..side, top. Sooo this is what I did, it's call an S-fold card:
The size of my card is a typical 5 1/2 by 4 1/4. I just cut the cardstock how you regularly do, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2...then score at 2 1/8 and at 4 1/4. Fold at the 4 1/4, like normal, then just fold the scored 2 1/8 panel UP to meet at the top of the card. On my card I used Terrifically Tacky tape to hold that top panel down because SU! cardstock is so stiff and I wanted it to be sure and hold good! One thing about cards like this, it forces you to decorate the inside too! Here is my card in the 'open' position:
This was really a super simple card to make. Back when I first started making cards, this is how I started, with folds and cut aways and cut outs! But didnt have any of the fancy tools to do it with then! So you can imagine how bad they looked! I kinda like this one! Ya'll know me and my love of bright stuff! LOL!
Ok, be sure and go look at what the wonderful DT for Sharon has done this week! They are sooo awesome!! Here are the links below, and also on my sidebar:

Dee Jackson, please keep her in your prayers, shes having a bit of medical problems and is taking this week off! Also, off this week is Becky Oehlers, I didnt link them here, but they are linked in my sidebar if you would ever like to visit these two talented ladies!
Thanks for stopping by today...and so sorry been a bit scarce this week. Still dealing with my ear problem I've been having and then cleaned and that seemed to make it worse for some reason...I guess all the bending over, made it stop back up and making me all dizzy again. It just pops and everything like how it does when you are in a high altitude....At least not hurting like it was....so that tells me its better!

I wanna be a Cowboy baby!!
Wellll, even though the Dallas Cowboys arent doing too well this year so far...my nephew Conner is still a huge fan of theirs. Remember THIS picture of him? Well this card is for him. I am sad to say though, my grandbaby saw this card on the table and said "FOOBALL!!" and grabbed it and left a few spots on it...I tried to cover it up with some shading on the hoodie, but you can still see some. Hopefully Conner wont mind though, lol. Here's the card:
And you can laugh at my hand drawn football, I did! But I guess it's not too bad if my 2 yr.old grandbaby recognized it AS a football! LOL! I made this using Mel's Just So Sporty set from Gina K Designs. (And word is out that the new release on Nov. 13th, Mel is coming out with a NEW set that will coordinate with this set and Little Tees! Can't Wait!!) I stamped the hoodied on blue cardstock and used my JustRite Stamper to do the words 'cowboys'. The little star is in the set also. I then paper pieced on the sleeves and hood part with just white cardstock, but then colored the grey in with copic marker. I drew the 'play diagram'....don't know if its correct or not, haha! That is about it!
We finally received our first paycheck from DH's new job...YAY! Now have to play catch up a bit, not too bad though, just having to put my stamping purchases on hold a bit...and with certain new releases coming up..its gonna kill me! LOL! That's alright...Ima gonna enter every contest there is to enter and challenge and maybe I get lucky and win some new rubbah! I NEED to smell some new rubbah!! haha! It's addictive isn't it?? But even if I dont, I'll be able to catch up next month for sure in my rubber obcession! Give myself an early Christmas for sure! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a wonderful lazy Sunday!

3-D challenge
I made this little box for the challenge at 3-D Design Challenge Blog. A super simple template. I adjusted mine to a 3" instead of the 2 1/2 as the template is. I wanted it a little bit bigger to sit this candle in a little jar I have around here...somewhere, lmao! I swear, I put stuff up and then can never find it...one of these days I'm going to find a treasure trove of goodies! haha! Anyways, here is the box:
I used the stamp set of Mel's from Gina K Designs, the daisy in it. I was lazy and didnt color 4 daisies for all sides, so on three of the sides I just stamped with versmark and heat embossed those. I punched holes in the top edges with the little $1 punch from Michaels and then punched holes down the sides to lace the ribbon..tied a bow, added a little butterfly charm and all done! Oh, I did cover the colored flower in versamark and heat embossed it too. I like how it turned out and think it will add alot to the gift candle...when I find the candle...lol.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! It is soo beautiful here to day...little nippy, but still hard to stay in the house and stamp!!

Stamping Simply!
Helloooo! And Happy Friday to you all! Last month, I was tickled to death to receive an email from Sharon Johnson, informing me that my name had been drawn to be the guest designer for her Stamp Simply Challenges for this month! I have always loved Sharon's challenges, and have long admired the work of the Stamp Simply DT and now here I am part of THAT! Thank you Sharon!
For this weeks challenge, Sharon called it 'Back to Nature'. We were to go outside, find whatever we wanted to use to put on our card. What fun was this! Here is what I came up with:
Can you see them? I used the scales from a Pinecone! Awhile back, I made these little pinecone reindeer into pins for my church to sell at the bazaar they were having...they were a big hit them. Only thing different I did was use felt for the antlers instead of what I did here. Here is a close up of one of the reindeer:
All I did was paint the eyes on the pinecone scale, used my Martha Stewart fern punch to make the 'antlers'! Got a rack on them reindeer going on there huh?! LOL! I did use a finger nail file to sand the pokey part of the noses and to where the rhinestone would be sure and stick. The rest is mainly just all slapped on the card, was really a quick card...what took the longest was waiting for the glue to dry! LOL! Now, go and look at the wonderful creations of the Stamp Simply DT! Here are the links below!

Another Purple Onion Design card.
Since I didnt get a card done today that I can post yet...hehe...I don't think I posted this card I made with Purple Onion Designs stamps. This is another one I made trying out for the DT, but didnt make it.
I liked how this card turned out myself. And this is dedicated to all of you who happen to come to my blog to look at my creations! Because I sincerely thank each and everyone of you who do and love it when you take the time to leave a comment. I do understand though how sometimes we just dont have the time, I'm the same way!
In other news... I have resigned from the Rubber Cafe Design Team. It just was not a good match for me..NOTHING against Melissa, the owner or any of the other DT...which are awesome by the way...just one of those things! It was for the best. Now, just to find somebody who WANTS me! Anybody? LOL!
You might have noticed on the sidebar that I am the guest designer for Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenges for this month...I am soooo very excited about that! I Will have the first one this Friday, so be sure and check back then! Have you seen the talent of the ladies on THAT DT?!! OMG....talk about pressure, hahaha!
Ok, that's all for tonight! Thanks for the well wishes and the emails asking if I was ok...I am, much better today, just dealing with my balance being all off, dizzy headed still a bit and the antibotics and my stomach dont get along very good, lol. Have a wonderful rest of the week!

I didnt get to participate in this week's Unity Addicts Wednesday challenge though...Back with more a bit later!

Featurd Stamper Challenge
Today's Featured Stamper on SCS was BECCA . I have long been a lurker/stalker of her blog, and rarely post to her...I feel so unworthy! LOL! She is one of those stampers that always make me think...'does she EVER do an UGLY card???' You know the kind I mean? LOL! Or am I just strange for thinking that...could be...haha! Anyways...Here is the card of Becca's that I CASEd:
Becca's card
And here is mine:
I kinda like how this card turned out. It actually almost makes me smell the coffee! This card also had a war wound on it. I stabbed my index finger with the tip of my scissors as I was cutting the twine, didnt hurt real bad, just kinda made me say ouch and look at it...so continued working and just fixing to tie the beads on the twine and I have this big drop of blood right on the middle of card. YUK! It would have been hidden by the coffee panel, BUT I couldnt stand the thought of giving it to someone with a blood spot on it! LOL! So had to redo one of the underneath part circles there, lol. thank goodness wasnt all over the card though...anybody else ever have war wound from our craft? My only other one I have had was when I first got my heat gun, sucked my hair right up in it bending over closer to look at the embossing, was very first time to do heat embossing too, lol. Love to hear ya'll's stories too if you have time!
Kinda got off topic there didnt I? LOL! Well, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and that Monday isnt too bad for ya!

Clearance stamp...
FIRST, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! to those that are celebrating it tonight, and be safe! I got my goodies ready for the kiddos, it will run out fast and then OUT! go the lights! LOL!! I was hoping my daughter would bring grandson down to take around, but she cant tonight...:(
I found this stamp in the clearance bin at Hobby Lobby last week...it was 2.17...can never pass up a bargain! LOL! And this is what I did with it today.
I used Spica glitter pens on the trees and stars, but you cant tell it in the photo. The piece of chipboard is a tag from K&Company which is kinda neat I think. I just sponged some white on it so it wasnt so bare, but left it sorta 'rustic' looking.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a safe and wonderfully fun Halloween AND weekend!

2 Sketches For you sketch challenge...
It's been awhile since I played with Kazan and Laura's sketch challenges but all the halloween-ness and me having this stamp set since it first came out and I hadnt even inked it up, got me going! Here is a pic of the sketch you are to use:
And here is my card:
I think I used about every image in this stamp set, except for the kitty and the star thingy, lol! Lot of popping up images on this card! I used my Tim Holtz Grunge board that I had picked up at Hobby Lobby when they first got them here, that's the swirly thing. That stuff is pretty cool I think! Chipboard bugs me cause I guess I'm too rough with it, always bend it and makes it look ugly, lol. And this takes a roughing up and still looks good!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Unity Challenge Wednesday!
Its Unity challenge Wednesday again for us Unity addicts! I really loved this challenge issued by Cyndi this week, love them recipe challenges! This weeks was to use the following:
H…Use a sentiment having to do with Hope
O…Put some ribbon on your card - Think Pink
P…Use something Pink!!
E…Embellish with something that starts with an "m" for Mammogram
Here's my take on it:
I used the word 'hope' for sentiment.
I used big ole pink ribbon.
I used...read above, lol, also the brads and on butterfly.
Ok, I kinda read this one wrong, didnt see it said 'embellishment'..so my mirrored butterfly hope counts for the M! I got that idea from Mel , doing the mirror image. I think that is such a neat idea!
Dont forget, over on the sidebar is a list of Unity Challenge girls with some awesome creations up today too!
Oh, and got one more challenge that was issued by the super fantabulous Angela, owner of UNITY. We all love the Twilight series of books and she issued a challenge to use one of the covers of the books for inspiration. Here is a pic of the book covers:
And here is my card, bet you can guess which one I based it on, lol:
I punched all them little squares out, lol! I didnt have any DP that would work so did it that way. The sentiment I did on the puter, yay! I figured out how to do that, am so proud of meself on that! LOL!
OK, thats all for today! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Hump day!

More Unity!
Welll, the elusive scissors still havent came back, so just went and bought another pair, lol. They probably show up now, haha!
I got some more UNITY goodness today! These are some cards I have done for challenges and thought I'd post them here too. I waited to try to get better pictures of them than what I had posted on SCS, and these pics still arent very good. I dont know what is up with my camera, or if its the trees and shadows outside causing all the problems, but this is the best I could get today after about a billion tries, lol. Ok, on to the cards!
I think every morning is beautiful myself! Love hearing the birds sing and the sounds of everything waking up! I made this card combing 2 challenges, SHARON'S, stamp simply challenge (Make it Flat!) and LS191 challenge to have a leaf on your card and use the color pink. I also used a technique that JESSICA showed of brayering over your embossed glossy paper with different colored inks.
I made this for the FS90 challenge, SpeedyStamper! What was hard, was choosing which card to do! LOL! Wonderful gallery! This is the card I chose to CASE:
SpeedyStamper's card
And I did add a bit more and changed one of the colors and of course a few other things, lol. But what a fun layout this was!
I made this for IC151, loved doing these bright colors! And I was going for a Shabby Chic look, something I have never done, so dont know if I accomplished that or not, lol! Here is the bedding I was inspired by:
JCPENNY bedding
WElll, thats about it for now, lol! Again, I apologize for the crappy photos. (hopefully the cards werent TOO crappy themselves, lol!) Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Somebody has broke into my house...
...and stole my scissors. I KNOW that is what has happened. We all know they cannot sprout legs and walk off, although my Mom swears stuff did when I was a kid. But I have convinced myself there is an evil scissors burglar out there, so this is my warning to all of you, HIDE YOUR SCISSORS!! Dont like the evil scissors burglar get them...and then dont forget where you hide them! haha!

p.s. I searched for 3 HOURS for my scissors...DH SWEARS he didnt touch them..nope not HIM *insert eye roll* So since I still cannot find them, thus the post....and I'll have cards tomorrow. I want to try and retake the photos, they just bad pics....cards not so hot either, lol.

A prayer request to lift a family up...
I just wanted to make a quick post this Sunday AM. Melanie posted on her blog about a family that is going through the final days of their son's battle with brain cancer. You can read his story HERE . I ask for prayer more so for the family, but also for Marcus, even though from reading, I sincerely believe he is strong in his faith and will be a soldier for God when he gets to Heaven, my prayer would be for him to go quietly and peacefully and not for it to drag out. To some I know this my not sound right, but when it gets to this point, you have to not be selfish, wanting them to remain her with you....I went through that with my Mom, and I feel so strongly about this....Soooo the main thing to me, is to lift this family up in prayer! Also, Melanie has posted on her blog their address to send cards, if you so would like. You can find the address on Mel's post HERE .
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back later with a card or two!

Unity goodness....
Yesterday during Hip Hop Thursday in the Unity forum on SCS, there were 2 challenges (actually there are 3, one is a sketch challenge that I also used on the striped card) that I participated in, one was 'mostly pink' and the other was 'mostly stripes' I think you can tell which card is which here, lol.
I think this is such a cute image! She got attitude for sure! LOL! I cut the stamp apart to make it look like a sign hanging form the bottom.
Card Details:
Stamps: from Unity Stamp Co. (I won this little stamp so not for sure what set it comes from)
Papers: PTI
Accessories: pink ribbon from PTI, white from May arts, brads, fun wire, pop dots from Ms, copic markers to color flowers, silkeen flowers from Gina K Designs
This one I kept pretty simple, I was thinking of my nephew when I made it, lol. So tried to make it more 'boyish'. I also have score lines to represent stripes too, but you cant see them in the photo.
Card Details:
Stamps: Lil Monster, Trick or Treat Peeps
Papers: PTI and SU!
Accessories: scorpal, brads, twine, corner rounder, pop dots, koh-i-noor pencils
Thanks for stopping by today, and TGIF!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend...I'm off to track down DH's paycheck...was suppose to be the first one direct deposited and its not there...scarey....LOL!

Oh Deer!
Well, I am not really happy with this card, but gonna post it anyways! I used Asela's new set from Gina K Designs and I was trying to make the deer look like logs, I actually used to have one of these deers made out of logs like this, till something chewed on one of it's legs after we put it outside. We lived close to a creek and DH says it was probably a beaver. Well, we cut the legs off to match, it had chewed on one of them...then it chewed on it again and it just looked too funny with really short legs after us trying to fix it again, rofl. So we trashed the thing. Anyways, here's my card:
I wanted them to look like they were meeting under the trees so used the little sprig stamp that comes in the set to do that, some are heat embossed. I made the little 'poinsettia' flowers (SUPPOSE to look like them, lol) by using the silkeen flowers from Gina K also, love that you can color on those! I layered them 3 times and stuck a brad in the middle after coloring them is all. I like how they turned out and that is what made me post the card! LOL!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Thanks for stopping by!

Glitter Challenge
Well, if you are a regular visitor to my blog, you know that I havent used much glitter. Not that I dont like it, just havent really been inclined to USE it, lol! But Michelle, who owns Stampers Dream Store, posted a challenge on her BLOG so I thought I would give it a go!
I used these cute House Mouse stamps that I recently picked up at Hobby Lobby on clearance. They were originally about 20 bucks and I got them for 7.19! Cant pass up a bargain like that! LOL! I think they are really cute images and actually really easy to color to me. I had lots of fun doing the glitter too. I went all around the white on the house, the roof even, lol! Here's a close up if it's not showing too good in the card picture:
I also still feel like the card needs something, and the green ribbon looks kinda lost sticking out there or something, lol! I painted the white brads to look like candy with sharpie markers, thought that looked pretty cool!
Ok, thats all for now! Working on a few other cards...hoping my mojo has come back to stay! LOL! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thursday!

I guess this could apply to me today...
This card I mean! LOL! Things been a bit hectic lately. DH has had alot of stuff to do on the puter, trying to LEARN it is the main thing. I mean, he NEVER got on my puter, now he has to with this new job, and I'm trying to show him everything about it. And one thing that is hard, even for me to do, is their time keeping method...the instructions alone for that printed out in 10 pages..o_O! Codes for everything...rules for everything..cant do this, dont do that...ug...we will get it down though...well I will for sure! LOL!
This is one of the cards I submitted to Purple Onion Designs for their DT call...I did not get it..:( But thats ok, Michele picked some awesome, talented ladies to be on her team, and cant wait to see their creations and be inspired! I will be posting the other 2 cards I made too over the next few days. This was really a quick card, since not much coloring on it. I used the leaf also to emboss on the bottom of the card their too, I just love the look of using just the versamark ink and clear embossing powder!
Ok, thats all for now! Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!
