FIRST, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! to those that are celebrating it tonight, and be safe! I got my goodies ready for the kiddos, it will run out fast and then OUT! go the lights! LOL!! I was hoping my daughter would bring grandson down to take around, but she cant tonight...:(
I found this stamp in the clearance bin at Hobby Lobby last week...it was 2.17...can never pass up a bargain! LOL! And this is what I did with it today.
I used Spica glitter pens on the trees and stars, but you cant tell it in the photo. The piece of chipboard is a tag from K&Company which is kinda neat I think. I just sponged some white on it so it wasnt so bare, but left it sorta 'rustic' looking.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a safe and wonderfully fun Halloween AND weekend!

2 Sketches For you sketch challenge...
It's been awhile since I played with Kazan and Laura's sketch challenges but all the halloween-ness and me having this stamp set since it first came out and I hadnt even inked it up, got me going! Here is a pic of the sketch you are to use:
And here is my card:
I think I used about every image in this stamp set, except for the kitty and the star thingy, lol! Lot of popping up images on this card! I used my Tim Holtz Grunge board that I had picked up at Hobby Lobby when they first got them here, that's the swirly thing. That stuff is pretty cool I think! Chipboard bugs me cause I guess I'm too rough with it, always bend it and makes it look ugly, lol. And this takes a roughing up and still looks good!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Unity Challenge Wednesday!
Its Unity challenge Wednesday again for us Unity addicts! I really loved this challenge issued by Cyndi this week, love them recipe challenges! This weeks was to use the following:
H…Use a sentiment having to do with Hope
O…Put some ribbon on your card - Think Pink
P…Use something Pink!!
E…Embellish with something that starts with an "m" for Mammogram
Here's my take on it:
I used the word 'hope' for sentiment.
I used big ole pink ribbon.
I used...read above, lol, also the brads and on butterfly.
Ok, I kinda read this one wrong, didnt see it said 'embellishment'..so my mirrored butterfly hope counts for the M! I got that idea from Mel , doing the mirror image. I think that is such a neat idea!
Dont forget, over on the sidebar is a list of Unity Challenge girls with some awesome creations up today too!
Oh, and got one more challenge that was issued by the super fantabulous Angela, owner of UNITY. We all love the Twilight series of books and she issued a challenge to use one of the covers of the books for inspiration. Here is a pic of the book covers:
And here is my card, bet you can guess which one I based it on, lol:
I punched all them little squares out, lol! I didnt have any DP that would work so did it that way. The sentiment I did on the puter, yay! I figured out how to do that, am so proud of meself on that! LOL!
OK, thats all for today! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Hump day!

More Unity!
Welll, the elusive scissors still havent came back, so just went and bought another pair, lol. They probably show up now, haha!
I got some more UNITY goodness today! These are some cards I have done for challenges and thought I'd post them here too. I waited to try to get better pictures of them than what I had posted on SCS, and these pics still arent very good. I dont know what is up with my camera, or if its the trees and shadows outside causing all the problems, but this is the best I could get today after about a billion tries, lol. Ok, on to the cards!
I think every morning is beautiful myself! Love hearing the birds sing and the sounds of everything waking up! I made this card combing 2 challenges, SHARON'S, stamp simply challenge (Make it Flat!) and LS191 challenge to have a leaf on your card and use the color pink. I also used a technique that JESSICA showed of brayering over your embossed glossy paper with different colored inks.
I made this for the FS90 challenge, SpeedyStamper! What was hard, was choosing which card to do! LOL! Wonderful gallery! This is the card I chose to CASE:
SpeedyStamper's card
And I did add a bit more and changed one of the colors and of course a few other things, lol. But what a fun layout this was!
I made this for IC151, loved doing these bright colors! And I was going for a Shabby Chic look, something I have never done, so dont know if I accomplished that or not, lol! Here is the bedding I was inspired by:
JCPENNY bedding
WElll, thats about it for now, lol! Again, I apologize for the crappy photos. (hopefully the cards werent TOO crappy themselves, lol!) Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Somebody has broke into my house...
...and stole my scissors. I KNOW that is what has happened. We all know they cannot sprout legs and walk off, although my Mom swears stuff did when I was a kid. But I have convinced myself there is an evil scissors burglar out there, so this is my warning to all of you, HIDE YOUR SCISSORS!! Dont like the evil scissors burglar get them...and then dont forget where you hide them! haha!

p.s. I searched for 3 HOURS for my scissors...DH SWEARS he didnt touch them..nope not HIM *insert eye roll* So since I still cannot find them, thus the post....and I'll have cards tomorrow. I want to try and retake the photos, they just bad pics....cards not so hot either, lol.

A prayer request to lift a family up...
I just wanted to make a quick post this Sunday AM. Melanie posted on her blog about a family that is going through the final days of their son's battle with brain cancer. You can read his story HERE . I ask for prayer more so for the family, but also for Marcus, even though from reading, I sincerely believe he is strong in his faith and will be a soldier for God when he gets to Heaven, my prayer would be for him to go quietly and peacefully and not for it to drag out. To some I know this my not sound right, but when it gets to this point, you have to not be selfish, wanting them to remain her with you....I went through that with my Mom, and I feel so strongly about this....Soooo the main thing to me, is to lift this family up in prayer! Also, Melanie has posted on her blog their address to send cards, if you so would like. You can find the address on Mel's post HERE .
Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back later with a card or two!

Unity goodness....
Yesterday during Hip Hop Thursday in the Unity forum on SCS, there were 2 challenges (actually there are 3, one is a sketch challenge that I also used on the striped card) that I participated in, one was 'mostly pink' and the other was 'mostly stripes' I think you can tell which card is which here, lol.
I think this is such a cute image! She got attitude for sure! LOL! I cut the stamp apart to make it look like a sign hanging form the bottom.
Card Details:
Stamps: from Unity Stamp Co. (I won this little stamp so not for sure what set it comes from)
Papers: PTI
Accessories: pink ribbon from PTI, white from May arts, brads, fun wire, pop dots from Ms, copic markers to color flowers, silkeen flowers from Gina K Designs
This one I kept pretty simple, I was thinking of my nephew when I made it, lol. So tried to make it more 'boyish'. I also have score lines to represent stripes too, but you cant see them in the photo.
Card Details:
Stamps: Lil Monster, Trick or Treat Peeps
Papers: PTI and SU!
Accessories: scorpal, brads, twine, corner rounder, pop dots, koh-i-noor pencils
Thanks for stopping by today, and TGIF!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend...I'm off to track down DH's paycheck...was suppose to be the first one direct deposited and its not there...scarey....LOL!

Oh Deer!
Well, I am not really happy with this card, but gonna post it anyways! I used Asela's new set from Gina K Designs and I was trying to make the deer look like logs, I actually used to have one of these deers made out of logs like this, till something chewed on one of it's legs after we put it outside. We lived close to a creek and DH says it was probably a beaver. Well, we cut the legs off to match, it had chewed on one of them...then it chewed on it again and it just looked too funny with really short legs after us trying to fix it again, rofl. So we trashed the thing. Anyways, here's my card:
I wanted them to look like they were meeting under the trees so used the little sprig stamp that comes in the set to do that, some are heat embossed. I made the little 'poinsettia' flowers (SUPPOSE to look like them, lol) by using the silkeen flowers from Gina K also, love that you can color on those! I layered them 3 times and stuck a brad in the middle after coloring them is all. I like how they turned out and that is what made me post the card! LOL!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Thanks for stopping by!

Accessories: ribbon, silkeen flowers both from Gina K Designs, rectangle nesties, SU! ink, clear embossing powder, brads, gold leaf pen, koh-i-noor pencils with OMS, white gel pen, copic marker.

Glitter Challenge
Well, if you are a regular visitor to my blog, you know that I havent used much glitter. Not that I dont like it, just havent really been inclined to USE it, lol! But Michelle, who owns Stampers Dream Store, posted a challenge on her BLOG so I thought I would give it a go!
I used these cute House Mouse stamps that I recently picked up at Hobby Lobby on clearance. They were originally about 20 bucks and I got them for 7.19! Cant pass up a bargain like that! LOL! I think they are really cute images and actually really easy to color to me. I had lots of fun doing the glitter too. I went all around the white on the house, the roof even, lol! Here's a close up if it's not showing too good in the card picture:
I also still feel like the card needs something, and the green ribbon looks kinda lost sticking out there or something, lol! I painted the white brads to look like candy with sharpie markers, thought that looked pretty cool!
Ok, thats all for now! Working on a few other cards...hoping my mojo has come back to stay! LOL! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thursday!

I guess this could apply to me today...
This card I mean! LOL! Things been a bit hectic lately. DH has had alot of stuff to do on the puter, trying to LEARN it is the main thing. I mean, he NEVER got on my puter, now he has to with this new job, and I'm trying to show him everything about it. And one thing that is hard, even for me to do, is their time keeping method...the instructions alone for that printed out in 10 pages..o_O! Codes for everything...rules for everything..cant do this, dont do that...ug...we will get it down though...well I will for sure! LOL!
This is one of the cards I submitted to Purple Onion Designs for their DT call...I did not get it..:( But thats ok, Michele picked some awesome, talented ladies to be on her team, and cant wait to see their creations and be inspired! I will be posting the other 2 cards I made too over the next few days. This was really a quick card, since not much coloring on it. I used the leaf also to emboss on the bottom of the card their too, I just love the look of using just the versamark ink and clear embossing powder!
Ok, thats all for now! Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!

Quick simple card
This is another card I made and showed during the last release party of Gina K Designs and had forgotten to upload it here. I actually like this card, was so quick and easy! Which I think the stamps help that abit, lol! This is the 'free with 3' set, called Winter Foliage. I used my circle nestie to just emboss on the white cardstock and then stamped the images from the set in the corner of the circle (circles have corners?? ha!) Just did a bit of masking with the pine cone is all, added a bit of white and glitter to it. The red inside of the circle is that metallic rub paste in the holiday colors...I LOVE that stuff! I can't sponge worth a darn, but I can RUB! LOL! I think it adds alot to it, the red rub paste. Ok, thats about it! I have been making cards, just a few I cant show yet...AND have had grandbaby here....his new saying now is 'lubbermor'. He tells me this when I tell him 'I love you'. I do think he means, I love YOU more, lol! But its much cuter this way!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Its quite an adjustment for us, DH having 3 days off in a row, lol! We dont know what to do being around each other so long of a time, hahaha! Lots of things we didnt realize or really think about, how different it would be. When he was working here with the city, he could come by the house anytime, (the whole town is only like 2 miles wide, lol) came home for lunch, got here by 5:05pm after getting off work at 5pm...but now, has traffic to deal with...its a mad house coming out of the army depot. Everybody in town knows not to try to get out during that time and he is having to take his lunch and anything else he thinks he might need during the day because he doesnt have the time to come by here...also waste of gas to since WE are paying for that gas now, haha! (so glad to see our gas prices dropped to under 3.00 yesterday!)
Ok, thats all for now! We going to look at new cars this evening...I'm leaning toward a Malibu...spied me a pretty midnight blue one and I want to go see exactly how much we looking at....byeeeeee

Unity Challenge Wednesday!
This week's challenge was given by Jess. We were to make a 'non A-2 card' ...well I went to the extreme, didnt make a card at all, lol! I did two quick projects:
These cute little halloween treat bags, which I followed the tutorial HERE...super easy and quick to make...I only need to make about 20 more now, lol! We have a big ole party and its on the 25th this year, so trying to get them all done and have plenty for the kids there. I did minimum coloring so they would be quick. I did use my spica glitter pens to add a bit of sparkle here and there.
And also this coaster calendar. I'm sure most have seen these too. I'm thinking of putting one in each gift I give out this year, just a little something extra. I made mine to attach to the fridge, added a magnet on the back.
Dont forget to see all of the awesome creations by my fellow Unity Addicts too! Got some linked over on the side bar there!
Ok, thats all for now! Thanks for stopping by and I have a couple more things I have to upload and post too...I did spend the day at daughter, and night, her puter is sooo slow though...drives me crazy trying to post a comment to a blog on it, lol!

Whew, finally!
Well, DH hogged the puter allll weekend...now, he NEVER gets on my puter...doesnt even know how to work one, until now! This new job had him take about 15 online safety classes and instead of him sitting in their office anymore, he asked if he could do at home soooo, all this weekend he finished them up, with me telling him what to click and where, lol. He better get used to it, cause that is how this company has their employees enter their time, via their program on the puter. I get so tickled at him though...I just have a desk top puter and he goes "I'm running out of room here..." I said 'what??' He said, "the little mouse thang...your desk isnt big enough, I'm going off the edge." I said (trying not to laugh) 'just lift it up and move it back closer to you.' Thats only one example...lol. ANYways, didnt have much time on the puter this weekend to do much commenting or posting is my whole point to all this, LOL!
I do have a card I want to post, one that I showed at the Gina K release party Thursday night:
I made this using Rupa's new set called "The Magic of Christmas". It's a beautiful set, love the images in this set! Fun to color OR you can emboss with gold and silver and they would look beautiful like that too. For my card, I wanted a 'country' feel to it, so I used a piece of Christmas checkered material as a DP for part of it. The other piece of DP is from a stack I bought at HL. The green ribbon is some more of the wonderful ribbon Gina K is now carrying too. The lighting is a bit wonky on this one, I was trying to get the gold in the ribbon to show and the gold on my card edges too. I used my gold leafing pen to do that. I hand-stitched (I SEW, pun intended, NEED a sewing machine!!) around the material part too.
Anyways, thats about it for now! If I dont post for a few days, it's because I MIGHT go to my daughter's house to help with grandbaby...something or other going on with her regular babysitter for a few days and she said something about needing help...sooo if I dont, thats why. Just thought I'd let anybody know that might be interested, lol. I was going to get some blog posts set up, but thought I better get house straight before I MIGHT have to go, lol!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Sunflower birthday
I had to make a really quick birthday card cause I am so forgetful, lol. So I used Melanie's new sets from Gina K Designs that was just released last night! Last nights release party was SUCH a blast! My dog got upset with me not getting much attention though..she decided to crawl under my desk (all of her 70lbs of her) and unplug everything...LOL! Took me about 30 minutes to get it all hooked back up she had it in such a mess...Ok...the card:
Super easy, super quick card. I just stamped the images 3 times, colored one, added some seed beads to the middle of it and glued the 2 uncolored images down and popped up the colored one. Scored a bit and tied some ribbon...stamped my sentiment (we wont notice it crooked either) and all done! The card is already been given to my friend too! Yay for quickies! LOL! Now, you HAVE to head on over to Gina's blog and read alllll about this:
Here is the link to Gina's Blog:

Roses are Red....
Sometimes Blue, but not today, Ive got red and white for you!
Ok, so I'm not a poet! But Welcome to Day 3 of the Preview for Gina K Designs! And today we have Melanie's TWO new sets! Yep TWO!! And you are going to be surprised and fall in love with these!! And as always, Mel jam packs them full of awesome stamps!
This stamp is from Mel's set called 'A Year in Flowers' For my first card, it's the Red rose...the color most think of when you say 'a rose':
For this card I used my copic markers, just like in a previous post with the apples I did. After shading with the copics, I also used my koh-i-noor pencils (also available from Gina K Designs) to add even more shading. I did this on the leaves also. You CAN use your pencils over copics, but NOT copics over your pencils. It will clog the tip of your markers up...I have one grey copic that I have ruined by doing this, so thought I'd throw that tip in there, lol. See the cute little ladybug on the leaf? That's part of the set too! And the white butterfly? Actually that was the silkeen flowers that Gina is going to be carrying in her store, and she happened to mention that you could make them into butterflies, so I did! Just cut one little petal out is all you do. The red ribbon is also some of that gorgeous ribbon that Gina K Designs will be carrying also...I am sooo loving this ribbon! For the other parts of the card, I just used vellum again (for some reason loving it lately)...ran it through the CB swiss dots folder and used SU! corner rounder to make the scallop on the edge. Used the scallop corner punch once again also. Then cut out the tag for the sentiment with vellum too using a spellbinders die, stamped with red ink and used clear embossing powder on it...Ta-Da! All done! Now for my second card...a bit different one:
See that quote? That is one of my absolute favorite quotes! It is From Mel's other set called 'Say it with Flowers'. (This set has ALL quotes in it to go with her flower set! How fantastic is that??) I used this quote way back when I was in high school to describe myself! LOL! So I HAD to use it! This is the same rose, but stamped on black cardstock with white chalk ink...then I used my white koh-i-noor pencil to 'shade' it. No OMS was used, I just varied the pressure I put on the pencil as coloring. I also highlighted some of the edges of the rose with my white gel pen. This is my first time to try this technique and I am far from expert at this, but I LOVE it. I love the 'sketchy' feel to this...reminds me of pencil and line drawings. I do need more practice, so be looking for more like this one! I also rubbed the edges with my metallic rub paste, also available at Gina K designs, this is silver from the holiday colors of the paste. And the rhinestones? MORE of what Gina K will be carrying with this release! Told you Gina has jam packed this release with goodies!!
So, get excited! The release is TONIGHT! WOOHOO!! There will be more previews (and I have a couple as well) plus full reveals!...and challenges and games...oh my!! Here is the link to the Gina K forum for tonight, beginning at 7pm EST:

I'm dreaming...
...of a white Christmas! Lalalala! OH! You aren't here to hear me sing, so sorry! No no! Don't go away, I have GINA K DESIGNS PREVIEW TODAY!! WOOT!
Today is day 2 of the of this month's release for Gina K Designs. Wasn't yesterday's awesome! If you missed them, Gina has them alll linked on her blog, down below today's post! And dont forget to comment on Gina's Blog today and yesterday for a chance to win some awesome blog candy...free stamps!!
Today, I have a card that I have done using Asela Hopkin's new set, "Christmas Blessings"....
I love traditional colors for Christmas, but I also love non-traditional too! I change my color theme for Christmas every year, and one year I did the colors in this light blue tone and silver. That is what inspired this card. I love how sparkly this looks in real life. I used silver embossing powder on the edges of the poinsettia's and then colored them in with my copic markers. Added a few silver rhinestones to the middle after cutting out and popped them up on the card. For the sentiment area, I used my circle nesties to cut that out, and also the little 'frame' around the circle was done with the nesties too. I then used a piece of vellum, stamped the sentiment and embossed it also, then ran top edge, and then the bottom edge through my CB machine with the swiss dots folder. See that gorgeous, shiny, oh so silky to touch ribbon? Gina K is going to be carrying that in her store also!! If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you know me and my bow issues...well for some reason, this ribbon was MUCH easier to tie! (I think it has to do how smooth and silky it is, but not TOO silky to where it slides everywhere, seriously!) I even LIKE my bow on this card! The scallop corner punch that I used is also available from Gina K Desings
Ok, ready for some more awesome previews from the rest of the team?? I have them linked below for you, but you can also find them on my side bar too.
