Fun with the Fabulous Foil-Mates Blog Hop!!

Hi everyone! Gina K and the team have received such amazing feedback on the new Foil-Mates, Fancy Foils and dies that we have decided to put together a special hop for you today! This blog hop is a blend of a video blog hop featuring tutorials from Gina K and a few members of the team and a traditional blog hop featuring beautiful cards from other members of the team. 

Over the past few weeks, the Foil-Mates products have been flying off the shelves at Gina K Designs. Here is a card I made for today!

 For this card, I didnt use the Foil Mates actually, lol!  I just used the foil and some score tape!  I LOVE how the foil matches the cardstock perfectly and wanted to show that!  I heat embossed the daisy from the stamp set, Vine and Butterfly , then masked it with some masking fluid.  I then used the inks that are in the Foil- Mates line from ThermOWeb and sponged all around the card base.  I then rubbed off the masking and did a quick color with some pencils.  Not really much to color though, lol!  And I also made a matching envelope! 

 Here you can see a little peek of the inside where I also used scor tape and the foil.  I also added a small strip of the wild Dandelion Foil to the matching envelope.   Just that small touch adds a bit of elegance that the recipient will see before even opening to see the card.

Up first today is Foil Mates Invitations - Wedding.  I made another pocket card!  :D

 This card is a pocket card and the little silver and Turquoise hearts with the eyelet in it  (and I'm just now noticing that I forgot to add the twine in the eyelet! LOL)  is on the edge of the pull out so you can pull it with that.  Here it is pulled out:

I just used the dies to cut circles and layered the single stitch and double stitch that gives it that small edge, which I totally LOVE!! 






Up nexty is the Foil Mates Invitations -- Save The Date.  And I made another wedding invite!  :D

I made a folding card...not sure what the fold is called, but it folds up from the bottom and then down from the top.  The above card is a picture of it closed.  here is one with it opened:

The enclosed removable card has wrapped with tissue paper and the burlap and lace ribbon is like a belly band.  Here is the inside card:

I made wedding invites for my niece a few years back and boy, do i wish I had of had these foil mates!  i heat embossed with gold until I'd never do again...lol!  (I did...LOL)

Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop:

Up first today I have the Foil Mates, Sentiment - True Friend.

 For this card's background I used the Elegant Damask Foil Mate and used the Wild Lilac for the sentiment and then did a rectangle with Grass Green.  I also took the sheer white Fancy Ribbon and used a copic marker on it to make the edges purple to match, LOVE being able to do that with the ribbon!

Isnt that little flower cute?!  I used some toner paper and the die and the Wild Lilac foil to make it!  :D

Next is Foil Mates Sentiment -- Wedding/Anniversary.  I decided to do a wedding happy anniversary card:

I went for an elegant look, and LOVE how the gold and that damask just made that type of card for me!  :D  Super simple!

I cant tell you how excited I was about this line of product from Thermo Web and Gina K!  Up first today we are showcasing the Foil Mates Birthday Essentials and You're Invited .  Up first is the card I made with the Birthday Essentials set:

 I used the Polka dotted background Foil Mate on this one too And also the Birthday Essentials.  This card only took a bit of time because of the banner I cut out for it, lol!  And as we all know, its so very hard to capture shine on our cards!  But believe me, its sooo shiny!  I used the Passionate Pink Fancy Foil on this one.

Up next is a card with the Foil Mate, "You're Invited"  I created a little Invite!  :D

 This is a criss cross card I think its called.  The triangle sides dont move, you insert the info card behind those, like a pocket (maybe a pocket card?  LOL)  This one up top here is with the info card inserted.

And this shows the invite pulled out.  What I love most about this line...im a FAST card maker!  Like my idol and fellow DT  Melanie Muenchinger!!  :D
