Just Be You!

Howdy Ya'll! Back with another card that has some distressing on it...well, actually ALOT! It has decoupage and crackle paint and tearing on the edges and...well, here, I'll show ya:

When I make cards like this, I always think twice about showing them because they are so 'out there'. LOL! I call them my artistic cards, haha! I just go a little crazy with them and sometimes that is so much fun to do..and then sometimes they just do NOT work, LOL! But I do like how this one turned out so showing it! :D

Ok, that's all for today! I am hoping I get happy mail from Gina K tomorrow...release party is Aug 2nd and I NEED to get them new stamps inky!! And then our inspiration hops start on the 3rd! Soooo come on mail lady, make my day! Hope to see you back next week for sure! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Distressing a bit!

Howdy Ya'll! Hope you had a wonderful weekend...we did, Blake was here and of course always love it when my grandson comes to visit!

This week over on StampTV Suzanne is hosting a MIUM challenge ...its a monochromatic challenge! I love doing those...BUT...this card started out as gonna be one, but then I got crazy and threw some green in there, so basically, it doesnt qualify as a monochromatic card in my book, LOL! But still sharing here:

I was making a collage card, stamped several different images on the panel with the daisy, grunged it up with white paint and distress inks and distressing tool is about all there is to this one! I love playing around like that....I so love the mixed media artists and have been playing with that a bit, just not anything worthy of showing yet, LOL!

Anyways, Hope you will play along in our challenge on StampTV this week, you could win a stamp set of your choice!!

CASEing my fellow DT

Hey Ya'll!! Im hosting another CASE the DT challenge over on StampTV this week and would love for everybody to play! This time around its the wonderfully talented Carolina! Here is my card that I did:

I just loved the little bow and had to make a card with a bow like Carolina had made on it, lol! Carolina also inspired me to make a little gift bag...she does some AMAZING gift combos!! Here are both of mine together:

And the card of Carolina's that inspired me:

Just love her clean and fresh style! And all the little touches she adds to her cards that make them so special!

Ok, that's all for today...and TGIF!! We are going to have Blake, my grandson, this weekend and I'm excited!! He called me this morning, going into detail of his day..He is definitely going to be a list maker! LOL!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend and BE COOL!!! :D

StampTV sketch challenge....

Hey Ya'll! Thought I'd play along in this week's Mix It Up Monday over on StampTV ...it's a sketch challenge hosted by Vicki this week, fun one too! Here is my card:

I watercolored!! Here is a close up:

so, yea, Im no expert, but I do like how kinda rustic this turned out! I stamped onto watercolor paper with versamark and used gold embossing powder, LOVE this affect! Funny thing about this card...It was suppose to say 'Birthday Wishes' But I grabbed the wrong sentiment apparently and after stamping..went 'oh! How that get on there?!!' haha! BUT wasnt about to trash it just cause of that!! I'll pay closer attention next time hopefully! ...probably not, lol.

And another thing...I find it so very hard to do sketch challenges! They are truly a challenge for me. They seem to take me forever when the whole thing is laid right out there for you! LOL! ahhh, well, guess that's why they are called 'challenges' right?

Here is the sketch by the way...and hope you will play along! you have a chance to win a stamp set of your choice from Gina K Designs!!

Thanks so much for stoppin by! Have a wonderfully creative day!
