Hey y'all!! Cat here, and thought I'd post more to the ole blog for awhile, like I used to, instead of just at GKD release time! Hope I dont bore ya too much! :D
Wellll, I couldnt resist the craze right now, Foiling! I did for the longest and then I would get card requests asking for some gold or silver or some kind of shininess on it and so I caved! And about the same time I decided to look more into the machines for it, I also heard someone say the Anna Griffin Minc machine was 50% off on HSN AND on 2 Flex pays...I could not resist! Plus it came with all kinds of fun stuff too. And, short story is, I am having a blast with it! Mucho fun!
And THEN Gina K comes out with...did you see them yet? Color Me Cards and Color me Panels!! They are sooo fun to color and to top it off, they can be foiled too! Here is one of the panels I did:
I did a bit of spotlighting! and the butterfly is also die cut and foiled...the whole thing , the coloring area is foiled and then also the oval frame is foiled! It's sooo very hard to get a good picture of its shininess!
I tried to here though. The butterfly is in pink foil too! the super thin lines you see are some nail art tape i have and decided to try it to kinda from the sentiment. I colored the images with copics after foiling. someone said it would ruin the tip, but it did not mine. I didnt like rub it real hard on the outline parts but I cannot tell a bit of difference!
And the minc machine does a whole better than a laminator, which is what I was using. But I dont regret buying the Minc! :D
Ok, that's all for now. I think we might have a blog hop coming up soon, just for some of Claire's sets that we didnt showcase before, but thats not written in stone! haha!
Have a wonderfully crafty week y'all!!

I have had so much fun with this little set! Talk about possibilities with it! I made a card last night to use for today, and here it is:
I also used a flower and leaf images from Melanie's newest set, Fill It With Flowers. I created the background using a gelli printing plate and acrylic paints. After drying, I stamped the the paint 'swoosh' with versamark and then added black embossing powder and heat embossed with it. I did the same thing with the 'just because' except its in white. When stamping on top of the black that was already heat embossed, of course it wanted to get some white in spots I didnt want, so just used a brush to sweep the strays away!! :D The flower and leaf stem were colored with copic markers/Ok, thats all for now from me!
I will have some cards I showed at the release party at the bottom of this post too!

Gina K Design May Release Inspiration Blog Hop! Day 2
Hi Y'all!! Glad you stopped by today!
First up, Beth's Sophie Pig!
This is what I did for today:
This card is part heavy weight vellum and part corrugated cardstocks. I think Sophie pig is too stinking cute and it has some of the cutest sentiments in this set! They look like they are peeping over a fence here to me, lol!
Next up is Claire's two sets that we are showcasing today (she has 5 released with us this month!! And I love every single one, just didnt have enough time, lol!)
First up Old Country Roses:
And here is what I did with it:
I LOVE how this turned out! The Two Step stamping or rather 3 on these just make a perfect look for those roses and leaves to me! I had to blue in my head for some reason, kinda country feel maybe?
Ok, next up is her set, Fine Feathers:
And I literally had to force myself to put this set down! LOL!
I used paints for the feathers here...Dylusions newest colors I believe. LOVE the bright cheery colors here! I had sequins to match too, lol! The Happy Birthday is a negative of one I cut out and used it too. The bright pink corrugated cardstock I got at the Dollar Tree. I got it to make some banners for a birthday party of a friends but of course, had to keep some for me too! Here are more with this set:
I used brown tones for this one and I love those feathers in brown too! :D
And this one...I had the chalks out so used those to do the bg for this white feather:
And one more....I do some art journaling from time to time, dont share it much but thought I would this one. I used Claire's feathers and the new incentive stamps that we will be showcasing soon for you!
I used Gelli plates to do this...using paints, inks both and gesso and gel mediums...lol. Just had a blast making it! Ieven made that yoyo flower! :D
ok, that's all from me for now! (more cards follow below the links!)
Thank you for stopping by!

If first I have for you today Is the new set by Melanie Muenchinger, Fill It With Flowers. And as always, is packed full of goodies that you will have endless possibilities of how to create with it!
Here is my first card to share with you:
You can never get tired of a daisy! At least I dont! Daisies and Sunflowers (No sunflowers in this set) ...both my favorite! I first stamped it in white ink and then scribbled with the big white pen by Faber Castell. I then stamped back over it with black. Im gonna try this again, paying attention more to how I do it. I was mad because of how it turned out when coloring it so had me a fit and scribbled, haha! And another card:
This is Billy's Pick of the Release! And its another daisy! I did this one in a vibrant color, love those you see in the florist shop! This one I colored with watercolors by Prisma that I have. I made is shiny by embossing the whole image with heat embossing. I did some fussy cutting on this one but I love how the flower looks in the cup!
Up next is Theresa Mombers newest, Country Road 2. I swear that just must be sneaking down here to my back yard for some of these ideas! :D Here is my first one:
I made a card that opens sideways but positioned the front panel to cover most of inside. Here is the open card?
I really like how this one turned out! Loving them sunsets around here too, when its not raining! LOL

First I have some cards with the Art from the Heart set:
And then this card...I think we all had fun with those pencils!! How fun are they?! I used die from a previous STV kit to make my 'sun' half colored...like alot of my projects laying around ! ha!
Next the set Sending Love...well, I LOVE the daffodils in this one! This first card is Billy's pick for this release kit! :D
I colored these with copics and pencils, my favorite way to color. I love watercoloring too, but just not very good at it as this next daffodils:
This card has ALOT of going ons on it, lol! molding paste, acrylic banner, stenciling, distressing...yep, took some time playing to hide my ugly watercoloring, haha!
And another with those gorgeous Daffodils!
Oh my! There are sooo many different ways to use this kit! I seriously cannot wait till y'all start get it and creating with it!

Here are a few more cards I have made. I showed most of these at the release, but I know lots dont get to go to the release due to time differences or work.
Aren't these big ole flowers just plain gorgeous?
Karen hosted a challenge and it involved this stamping and matting like I have done on this one and on the next one....love it so much got carried away!
I also made a vellum envelope to put it in and stamped one of the flowers on it with stayz on ink! I think I love the lipstick color cardstock even more now!
Ok thats all from me for right now! I hope in some way I have inspired you! Have fun creating!
