Well, I guess I COULD post a card!

I get all caught up in stuff over at StampTV and SCS and blog hopping that I will completely forget to upload a card I have done, lol! Also, I was out of town for a couple of days, just took off by myself, took some time to think and basically just enjoying being by myself. Quite time, I didnt even watch TV that much! Anyways, just a simple one layer card I made for Donna's release party challenge...that is over now, but it was to make a one layer card using only one embellishment. Here is mine:

I used Asela's newest stamp set called 'The Journey'. I love these chairs like this! Just says 'come on, sit in me!' I dont own one, but wish I did! For my one embellishment I used flowersoft to create the flowers. The image is stamped on Gina K Designs' new cardstock called 'Soft Sand'...right now, it's my new favorite!

Ok, that's all for now. I have about 3 cards going on at the same time right now, lol! I will be doing one, and have an idea and start on it right in the middle of doing the first one...I must have that adult attention deficit disorder...sometimes my brain working too much on ideas, lol! I know, I should just right them down! Well, I'm in the process of making me a little notepad thingy to do just that, rofl!

Hope you have a wonderfully creative week! and Thanks so much for putting up with my sporadic posts right now! And for me not commenting on blogs much...it's like, I see lots of them on StampTV , then forget to go to the blog to comment too! Bad blogger me!

Gina K Designs Preview Day 4! Release Party tonight!

Welcome back for the last day of previews for Gina K Designs!! Have you been enjoying them so far?? I know I sure have!! And tonight is the Release Party on the Gina K Company forum at SplitCoast Stampers...here is the link to that:

Gina K Designs Company Forum at SCS

Ok, on with the good stuffs!! First up is Asela Hopkins newest set called 'The Journey'. I decided to use the old truck image, here is my card:

I had such fun making this card! I decided to take off the wood rails on the back of the truck and make it into a HOT ROD!! LOL! I was inspired by a truck we had seen at a truck show a few years ago and decided to try to copy it from memory. I colored it all with copic markers and made the flames on the hood, gave it a good wax job (crystal effects, lol) which you can't tell in the photo, but it SHINES! I also used Gina's technique tutorial from last week to use nesties to emboss only on your card. Here is the link to that on StampTV My hubby only dreams about a truck like this...his is a LONG way from looking this good! LOL!

Next up is Gina's One Free with three set called 'Many Wishes'...here is my card I did with that set:

I made a card, sort of a sympathy card or a card for someone that might be going through a rough time...I used another set, Tropical flowers combined with Many Wishes, both stamped in black, sponged some black on the bottom, then, I tried to make the sky look like one of those gorgeous sunsets you see that has pink, purple and blue in it (just swiping my ink pads back and forth)...reminding you the beauty of God's world all around us! I know I have seen some of these sunsets that just makes me stop and think and feel the power of God, and will give me such a feeling of comfort from Him! I hope to have conveyed this in this card to someone!

Ok, that's all I have for now! But tonight at the release party I will have at least a couple more samples! And now for more gorgeous eye candy, here are the links for all the other DT:

Gina, Asela, Carolyn, Cathy, Cindy, Donna, Emily, Erika, Jessica, Joanne, Kurtis, Lee, Lynn, Melanie, and Theresa
Our CenterStage Spotlight Design Team members Selma Stevenson and Pam Imholz are joining us this morning with previews as well!

Hope to see you all at the party tonight!! It's gonna be a blast, with the full reveals by Gina and then SHOPPING TIME!!! Woooohoooooooo!!

Gina K Preview Day 3!

Howdy and welcome again to more exciting previews of the new release stamps from Gina K Designs for June! Haven't the ones from yesterday been exciting?? Today, I have two more sets to give you a peek of, one from Melanie and the other from Nina! First up is Melanie's newest set called 'Arranged With Love':

For my card, I decided to just pop the one flower, and to do that I used the rose from Mel's set A Year Of Flowers, it fits perfect over that rose, and the leaves too! I didn't try the other flowers, but I believe they will too. I stamped the whole big ole stamp onto the new Soft Sand cardstock that will be available with this release, with versamark ink then embossed it. I also embossed the red rose and leaves too, just to give texture to match. I also cut a sign out to fit over the little area that is for stamping the sentiments in, added a bit of bling with the red rhinestones and used a bit of sheer ribbon, actually a pretty quick card for me! LOL! And I just love how it turned out!

Next is my card using Nina's set 'Bug Me Anytime':

This set is such a fun and whimsical set! Isn't that spider cute? And I don't even like spiders, haha! But he is a smiling one and giving encouraging words so he's ok, lol! And for this card, I used Designer Paper! LOL! I hear the audible gasp from many of ya'll, haha! I started out doing paper piecing on this, then changed my mind and had the paper out so used it on the card. Some of the images in this set are just perfect for paper piecing to me too, which I'm sure you will see one from me at sometime! And see those little tiny rhinestones on the flowers and the spider? Those will be available from Gina K this Thursday too with the New Release!

Ok, that's all from me, here is the links to the other ladies with their awesome creations (weren't you just blown away yesterday with them too???!!)

Gina, Carolyn, Cindy, Donna, Emily Jessica, Kurtis, Lee, Lynn, Melanie, and Theresa
and, be sure to check out our CenterStage Spotlight girls joining us in Previews today: Carla Suto and Melisa Waldorf

Gina K Designs Preview Day!!

I am sooo thrilled to be a part of this blog hop, and the previews this time! If you are a regular visitor to my blog, you KNOW how much I enjoy Gina K Design stuff!! And then when she asked me to be part of her design team, I actually hollered out loud!! WOOHOOO!! LOL!!

And what awesome stamps are in this month's release!! Plus new color cardstock, Soft Sand, digital paper, some free even, some bling and a new cutting tool, ink, and a bigger acrylic block!!! You will see why you might just need that block too tomorrow!! Ok, on to the good stuff!

First up is Rupa's newest set "100% Sweet" and it totally is!! Here is my card I decided to do:

I decided to make a shaker card, this is my first time to try this and I just love how it turned out! The picture was a bit hard to take, lol, with the acetate in it, all that glare! That is NOT a boo boo up top though, above the donuts, thats a glare, lol! These really are simple to make and lots of fun! The donuts have cystal effects on them along with the seed beads...that chocolate donut looks so real in person!! My grandson took the image, before I had put it all together and touched it with his finger and then tried to lick his finger, lol! So it really does look good enough to eat, according to him, haha!! This is only one of fun images in this set, and the sentiment too! Wait till you see the rest!

Next up is Theresa Momber's newest set "Happy Camper"! Ohhhh my!! Another awesome one from Theresa...here is my card I did:

And I apologize for this weird angle of this card, but once again I used acetate on this one. I did an overlay on it with the trees from this set. Although the trees are part of the mountain stamp itself, I just masked off the mountain part of the stamp, inked up the trees, then took off the tape that I used to mask the mountains off with and then stamped the trees onto the acetate with stayzon ink. I think it gives it a bit more depth doing this! I tried to create a mist rising up the trees and mountains, can you see it? LOL! All of this was colored with copic markers.

Now, are you ready for more awesome previews? I know you are!! Here are the links:

Gina, Carolyn, Cindy, Donna, Emily, Erika, Jessica, Joanne, Kurtis, Lee, Lynn, Melanie, and Theresa
We are also thrilled to have a couple of our CenterStage Spotlight Design Team join us in our previews this morning: Carolina Buching and Jennie Harper

And dont forget tomorrow we all will have 2 more sets for you to preview!! I can't WAIT!! I am still so super excited to share this with you all!! And to be part of this AWEsome team!! WOOHOOO!!!

Helloooo

...and Smile! I made this card for the ways to use it challenge last Thursday I believe it was, on SCS. We were to make those scraggly flowers or whatever they are called, lol! Here is mine:

I really like how they turned out. I used that Co'ordinations cardstock, and when you sand it the core color really comes out. I still think the cards needs something on it though, like in the middle of the flowers there, but I got tired of staring at it and called it done, lol! The leaves and grass are just cut free hand out of the same cardstock, different color. Really a quick easy card and the only stamping I did was the 'hello' and 'smile' on the background, which I embossed too.

Getting ready for Gina K's release previews starting Monday or rather Tuesday at midnight!! I am just loving these stamps!! So many possibilities for all different tastes! I am super excited about it, being my first 'official' participation as a Senior DT for Gina K...wooohoooooo!! So please be sure and check back then and see what I have done and all the other DT!! I think you will enjoy it!

Happy Father's Day to all also. My Father passed away almost 25 years ago...I have wonderful memories of him. He was a very fun loving person and me and him where pretty close. I was his favorite baby girl (:P Kelli!!) haha! Anyways, hug your Daddy's today and always tell them you love them!! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, what's left of it!

Shadow box

I created a little scene on a card and Donna is hosting this month's 3D challenge on StampTV, which is to recylce/reuse, and I had this shadow box that I purchased at a garage sale ages ago so decided to put it in it instead. Here it is:

I like how this turned out. It was hard getting a picture without a glare though and you can still see a bit of glare here and there. That's suppose to be a moon rising (bad moon rising..ha!) over the ocean...can you see the craters? LOL! The scene is all sponged except after sponging the sand part, I took a stipple brush and stippled more colors into it to make it look more realistic. I saw some really cool sand stuff somewhere...need some of that!

Ok, that's about it for today! Have you been seen the little 'snippets' on Gina K's blog the last 3 days? She is giving little sneak peaks of the new release stamps next week! I will tell you this much...they are awesome! As usual, the illustrators have outdone themselves! Sooo I am stalking my mailman for sure tomorrow!!

I am freeeee!! No more watching grandson for awhile! I need a break...seriously, lol! Love him to death but all day and night is ROUGH since I hadnt done it in like 25 years, rofl. Have a wonderful Thursday! and Yay! tomorrow is FRIDAY!

A stitch in time...

...saves something or other...LOL! Can't remember the saying, rofl.

Well, I decided I had better post a card here! I have another eye infection, same thing, in the tear duct. This time my whole eye is swollen. I am really getting tired of having these lately. It makes my vision blurry which of course makes it hard to see a bit, lol. I am to put drops in my eyes daily now to moisturize them. Dang, when you get old you have to moisturize EVERYthing, haha! Ok, here is the card:

Back when I first started making cards, YEARS ago, before I even knew of bloggers and Gina K, lol, I used to hand stitch on my cards I made alll the time. I tried to find one of my Christmas cards I did years ago to show you, but couldnt find it anywheres. Maybe I'll come across one when I decided to purge my other closet, lol. I used that daisy again on this card and this was for the CAS challenge at SCS last week, a color challenge...to use kraft, pink and one other color. The stitching is punched using a Bazzill Stitch Template that I picked up my LSS, then I just used plain white embroidery floss to do the stitching. Easy! I really like how this card turned out too, and will be a good mailing card!

Thats all for today! I hope everyone is having a relaxed Sunday! It's so humid and hot here, and threatening to rain. I am suppose to have Blake, wildchild, here in a bit and was thinking about taking him to the park...but I dont know...I hate to sweat, lol. I am sooo not a summer person, give me fall time any ole day!

By the way, if you love participating in challenges, StampTV has a whole line up of them every week! We have sketch, color, scrapbook, technique, and potluck challenges and also a monthly 3D challenge! And with every single challenge, you have a chance to win a stamp set of your choice from Gina K Designs! I mean, to me, with even a CHANCE to win a set doing something we all love doing anyways, is just awesome! So go, join in the fun! Here is a link to the current challenges right now:

Clearly it's...

...a clear card! ha, lol! Sorry corny I know, lol. I finally got a good picture of this card, after a ba-ga-zillion tries! And I just love this daisy from the new Eclectic Summer StampTV kit:

Clear cards are such fun to do to me. It's not really hard to cover up the inside stuff, just cut a piece of cardstock the same size as whatever you need to cover up, and then you can use that for writing anything you might choose to write on the inside. I made this one following Melissa's sketch challenge from last Thursday on StampTV, changed it just a bit is all to show more of the clear card. The daisies are stamped on the clear cardstock with StayzOn ink and then on the colored cardstock I stamped them and used a prisma pencils to color them in white and yellow. Actually a pretty quick card, except for the picture taking of it, haha!

Well, me and my sister didnt get a single card done. We just sat around and talked about old times is all. We learned that we both had a fear of our house we lived in, lol! We lived in a house that had this attic opening in the kitchen. It was always closed...I actually cannot remember a time that anybody every went UP in the attic...but one night it was just me and my sister there and we heard this sound...best way to describe...well, it sounded like somebody dragging something really heavy across the floor of the attic. Now, this attic wasnt a big ole attic, not really big enough for a person to stand up all the way in it...my Mama said it was probably a big snake (oh comfort there MOM!! haha!) But anyways, we discovered in our discussion...that when each of would come home, we always would check that little attic hole, to make sure it wasnt open or moved over with a slight opening in anyways, LOL! First thing we would do! Kelli says she still has nightmares about it...I dont have nightmares, but do remember laying awake at night thinking I heard something up there LOTS of times. And it was probably some kind of critter....I reckon....rofl.

Ok, that's it for now. I got a week of nothing to do but stamping...yay!! So hopefully Ms. Inspiration will find me! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderfully creative week!

Another sorta older card...

WEllll, not REAL old, but from the Gina K release party! I made this card using the New StampTV kit, Eclectic Summer:

Most of you know my love of all things bright by now, lol! And that's what this card is, bold and bright! But I just love the new cardstock, Rocket Red! It has a textured to it, can't really tell it is this photo, but its little lines, really awesome!

Short post today, going to my sister's for a day. I really need to get out of the house a bit. I will be back tomorrow though, so most wont even know I'm gone, haha! But it will do me some good I think! And I'll post new card tomorrow. I did one on some clear cardstock and I just love how it turned out...and another CAS one...and who knows what me and my sister might come up with, haha!

It's later!

I know I said I would post a card 'later' and technically, it is! LOL! It is just wearing me out keeping Blake (grandwildchild) this week! I have not got a thing done card making wise...I have like about 4 projects started and havent completed a single one. I get distracted and then have an idea I want to do and start it and get distracted again, lol! BUT I do have some cards that I posted at the Gina K release party...and first up that I am posting today is my favorite I did:

This uses Melanie's newest set 'Sporty Accessories' and is just so much fun! As usual, its packed full of goodies but I used the lockers and 'took the door off' of one and put stuff in it. Much neater locker than mine was, lol! I wanted to make it look like mine did in high school, but then ya'll would see how messy I was, haha! Plus mine had band stuff in it, lol! I dont have a clarinet stamp!! Ohhh, what a neat idea for a stamp set, musical instruments, just all kinds!! Hear that Illustrators?? LOL!! Anyways, back to the card....I wanted the black background to look like a chalkboard so kinda doodled on it with a white pencil. I did use a stampa ma jiggy thingy to line up the lockers and still got them a bit crooked, lol! What can I say, I just see thinks crooked I think...haha!

Ok, thats all for now. My daughter has found her a babysitter close to where she lives which is good really. We live about an hour apart and that's alot of driving for her to do everyday I know. Plus it wasnt suppose to be EVERYday that I kept him, LOL! Gammy (what he calls me) gets so wore out....I had been trying to walk everyday, started it last week but all this week havent done it at all and I want to get back to that. I did try with him, he dont walk, he RUNS (and hes too BIG to hold my hand he says)....I'd have to put him on a leash cause Gammy does NOT run...she would be laid out on the side of the road....roflmao.

Thanks for stoppin by and hope you have a wonderfully creative day!
