Hey! I know you!

Do you remember me? haha! Yes, poor ole neglected blog! I just get so busy doing other things that I keep putting off doing a post until I realize its been like a WEEK, lol! I got cards too to show...but I'll just show the one today.

This was made for a friend of a friend, who is coming home from duty in Iraq...

I decided to use some of my counted cross stitch on this, it just goes so well with Nina's newest set from Gina K!! This particular piece was part of a sampler that I lost the directions to and would never finish it, so cut it up, used this on the card and have these other pieces...here are a couple of them from the same sampler:

One day I'll figure out a card with them too, lol! I love being able to use other crafts with my stamps and make a card with it, such fun!

Well, hope you are having a wonderful relaxed Sunday! I had Blake and Holli here yesterday, much fun! He is just so wound up when he is here, never stops, so it wears these old muscles out! LOL! I got a few pics of him I want to upload later too.

A Quick! Tuesday Trigger card...

*Edited to add* I cant spell! LOL!

Well, sorta quick that is, lol! Cammie's submission to Moxie Fab World was picked this last week by Cath and I really loved it! So decided to play along! It was really inspiring to me, here is the inspiration pic:

along with all the red birds we have been having in the back yard lately, this is what I came up with:

Love the texture on the chair so played on that and the red flower! Fun card I think! And here is a little pic of one of the red birds out while it was SNOWING the other day:

I know, such a bad picture, but they dont like me out there with them, lol! Today, its a beautiful sunny day once again, little chilly, but better than SNOW on the branches and housetops!

Ok, thats it for now! Hope you have a wonderfully creative week!

Just Ducky!

Hey all! Just a quick post with a card I made and showed at the Gina K preview party the other night using Rupa's newest set called "Spring Has Sprung" I just love this little duck!

You KNOW I cant stay away from that kraft cardstock too long, haha! I also used some stuff I had in my stash, in the closet, for a long time...that fun foam stuff, the fringe and little flowers! I found it at Hobby Lobby on clearance for like a dollar...who can resist that?? I cant! LOL! It's usually used for decorating flip flops, but I knew I could use it on a card! :D

Ok, that's all for now! Me and Billy taking off on a 'date' night tonight! FUN!! :D

Mel has come out with another frame stamp set, this one PERFECT for spring time! I just LOVE these tulips too! I am thrilled she used that image for this! I decided to do a bit of distressing to show you dont have to be all pastel and springy colors ALL the time, although it would be gorgeous like that too, lol!

Ok, next up is Tami Mayberry's newest set called Fairy Tales...what a fun one this one is! Here is my card:

Isnt that frog just the cutest! And I do NOT Like frogs, lol! But this one is so much fun to color, so he is OK, lol! He has got kissed so much it's knocked his crown a bit crooked, lol!

Ok, last but for sure not least is Theresa Momber's newest set called Sending Sunshine and oh boy, does it ever! Here is my card for this set:

OMG, can you feel the sunshine looking at those daffodils? They are blooming everywhere around here right now so I HAD to do this image on a card! LOVE it!

It's a Surprise Party!!!! It is Stamp TV's 1st birthday and we just wanted to throw a little party for Gina! Happy 1st Birthday Stamp TV!!! You will have until Sunday, March 14 at 8:00 p.m. central to post comments on all the blogs. The winner will be posted on Stamp TV on Monday!

For my card, I used my ALL time favorite image from a previous StampTV Kit, Eclectic Summer! Here is my creation:

I absolutely love this daisy image...I have used it more than any other stamp! For this card, I stamped the image onto vellum with stayz on ink in black, then flipped it over and colored the backside of the flower with my prisma pencils before cutting them out. Love LOVE how this turned out! It just makes me smile and I hope it does Gina! Thank you Gina for creating StampTV! It has touched so many lives, including mine! Ok, I'll quit with the mooshy stuffs, lol!!

Gina K Thank You Blog Hop, for...

..our retiring Challenge Hostesses from STV! We have had some wonderful hostesses for the last 3 months, that have brought us such awesome and fun challenges! So a bunch of us senior DT decided to do a little something in a way of honoring them. Also, our DT coordinator, Jessica, has created an area that has all of the hostesses a page, with their different challenges...allll in ONE place! You can even download it if you want, she has also put them alll into PDF format ... Here is a link to that area:

Idea Center with the Challenges

Ok, now, for my cards! First up, I decided to make a card for Jennie Harper, our Sketch challenge hostess for the past 3 months (and just named as the CSS for the upcoming month, woot!) Here is the link to the sketch of Jennie's I followed:

Sketch Challenge 11
And my card:

And next up, I wanted to make a card for Shannon Bracken's color challenge...I decided to use the black/white/kraft...my beloved kraft! Our could I resist?? Here it is:

I am keeping the yakking brief, cause there is alot more eye candy to see tonight too! But I do want to tell ALL of the challenge hostesses, how awesome they ALL were over the last 3 months! Here they all are:

Tonight several GinaK Designs designers are joining together to host a special thank you blog hop to our recently retired StampTV Challenge Hostess Team. The four designers we're honoring tonight have provided weekly challenges for the STV members for the entire months of December, January, and February and we are so thankful for their inspiration and hard work!

Each participating designer was asked to choose one challenge shared during the past 3 months and make a card to share on their blogs tonight as well as to send that card to the hostess.

Visit these links to see all the projects we've prepared for our alumni hostess team:

And, the new StampTV Challenge Hostess team is also joining in on the hop tonight!

Hey all! Thought I'd get a quick stitched card made for the challenge at Moxie's Fab World, Fun With Floss!! I have always loved stitching on cards...you might remember this card:

I think this is my all time favorite that I have used stitching on! I just love how it turned out! But I always feel like I need to make a new card for a challenge so did this one for tonight:

Asela's newest set, Dream Birds just screams whimsical to me so I can't seem to do anything else with them, lol! I did a bit of fun, whimsical stitching to frame the image on this one, in black floss. Quick one!!

Ok, that's it for tonight! I'll be bach....
