Gina K Designs December Release Inspiration Hop, Day 1!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our December Gina K Design Release Inspiration Hop! So excited to share my samples with you with these awesome sets! Up first today we have Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called, Stately Flowers 2. 2nd in her sate flowers series...LOVE it! Here is my creation that I showed a sneak peek here on my blog yesterday:

And i also had to try it out on some kraft cardstock, lol!

On the first card, I was in the mood to color, so used some copic markers and took my time in coloring that gorgeous big flower in the set...so fun and relaxing sometimes...and then, on the 2nd card on the kraft, I just wanted to show you don't have to be one that colors, you can do like this! :D I love how this turned out..and all the coloring I did was with one grey markers...around the edges!

Up next is Theresa Momber's newest set called Mountain Wilderness. I decided to make a masculine card for my sample today:

I am so loving those vertical sentiments in this set too! On this card, I think I will have to write something corny on the inside like...'have a howling good time!' haha!

Ok, ready for more awesome eye candy? Here ya go! Links to my fellow DT!

Gina K Designs November Release Inspiration Hop, Day 3!!!!!!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our last day of the new releases inspiration hops, hopefully not the last day of inspiration though, lol! That is one of THE best compliments, for someone to tell me that I 'inspired' them! :D

Ok, up today we have 3 stamp sets, two duos and the one free with 3 for this month, it is called Inspirational Blocks ...here is my creation for this set:

these little square blocks are open for lots of different techniques, but I just chose to do some plain ole stamping with mine! :D

Up next is one of the new Duos called Butterflies Duos and you can never have enough butterflies! :D Here is my creation with it:

I just LOVE this quote! And Loved coloring that butterfly! In our world, you can make the butterflies ANY color we want! :D

Up next is another duo called Just Calling To Say ...I just love the old timey looking phone in this set! Here is my creation:

I used my old timey lable maker, the dynmo or something like that it's called, for the 'Call Me' part...and the little arrow is from one of Mel's newest sets too. These colors sure turned out different than IRL...and they match IRL too, but not in this picture! I have the hardest times with grey/blues, and browns mostly not being true in the photo...bugs me to death...lol!

Ok, ready for more awesome inspiration? here are the links to my fellow DT, ready to knock your socks off!

Gina K Designs November Release Inspiration Hop, Day 2!!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our 2nd day of inspiration hops for you this month! I know I say it every time, but I just LOVE this month's sets...seriously, I guess I can never get enough, lol! I am already looking forward to NEXT month even, haha! Ok, up today, we have 2 new sets and one duo to showcase for ya. Up first is Theresa Momber's newest called Dogwood and Butterflies... two of my favorite things! Here is what I did with it:

Yea, you know I can't let my kraft cardstock stay neglected too long, lol! I did a sort of spotlighting here, just colored the one dogwood flower and cut it out and added a dimensional to it before attaching...love white and kraft together..but then, I love al lcolors with kraft so that isnt saying much is it? LOL!

Up next is Tami Mayberry's newest set called Label Borders This set has sooo many possibilities!!! I decided to make a card with matching decorated tin...: edited to add: Yes! This is the tea tin that Gina K carries! It can be found HERE!!

Told ya I couldnt leave my kraft cardstock alone, lol!! I love how this turned out! I measured around the tin, which is 9 inches, cut a strip that long and then stamped the stamp from Tami's set in the middle of that strip before cutting it out around the edges. This made it meet in the back and doesnt look bad at all, even though it isn't stamped.

Ok, up next we have another duo called Friends are Flowers...and these now sell for 7.95 in the Gina K store!! These would be so awesome when sending a Christmas card to just slip into the card without taking up much room at all! Here is what I did with this duo:

This was a super quick card! I just stamped the floral image in cream and olive green on the green panel and left them uncolored...see? you do not have to be a coloring goddess to make it look good, Im sure not and I think this looks good! :D Ok, ready for more awesome eye candy?!! Here ya go:

Gina K Design Design Team hop and challenge for November!

Hey ya'll!! This month, with Thanksgiving just right around the corner, we are doing a 'Gratitude Hop'! I personally love making thank you cards, or cards that just say, I'm grateful to have YOU in my life, they are my favorite kind to make! And at this time of year I find myself being so very thankful for all of the little things...Ok, on with the hop! :D

Welcome to another Gina K. Design Team blog hop. Today we're featuring cards with a Gratitude theme to them. If you came from Carolina Buchting's blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.

I went with a fall them for my card:

I used an older StampTV Kit, Autumn Splendor
and the sentiment if from Thanks A Million stamp sets. The leaves are a copper metal and a die cut, Tattered Leaves...I added the lines on the leaves though, I just used a stylus to do that. Ok, ready for more awesomeness? Your nest stop on the hop is the oh so talented

Donna Baker!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Ya'll come back now, ya here? :D

Christmas will be here...

...before we know it!! This whole YEAR has just flown by to me! Sooo, trying to get some Christmas cards done. I don't mail out like some do, so usually I make all different cards, not mass produced ones. I made this one for the Ways to Use it challenge over on SCS this week...we were to make a 3-D item and put on our creation. Here is my card:

I bought a kit of Martha Stewart's from Wal-mart about a year ago that had these poinsettias in it to put together...it was on clearance for like 2 bucks I think. FINALLY got to use it, lol! I believe this fits the bill of be 3-D!! LOL! And just a little about me...I can't see images in 3-D movies...or those pictures where you are to find what it is , like you have to stare at it and then it just kinda pops out at you? Nope, never see those either. I only use one eye at a time, and you have to use the 3-D glasses AND both eyes to be able to see it jumping out at you...that and of course my peripheral being reduced down ...well, I am so very thankful to be able to see as much as I can! :D

Well, that is all for today! My daughter is bringing Blake to us for the next 4 days...so I better go Blake proof my house! LOL! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderfully creative weekend!

Who put the calendar on fast forward?!!

Omg! It's November already!! It sure seems like time is flying don't it? I know it sure gets away from me! LOL!

Here is a card I made for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge over on SCS...it was called 'Costume Party' ...we were to dress up a card that was not in our usual style. Well, since I am all over the board with a 'style' I went kinda with a pastel color, which I do not do often! Here it is:

Love this new set by Tami! The sentiments in it are so fun and remind me of ME, haha!

Thanks for stopping by today! TGIF!! Hope everyone has a wonderfully creative weekend. I'm fixing to head to an estate sale up the road from me! It's packed up there! I can see card lining the road on both sides even!! Wish me luck! LOL

GIna K Design October Release Inspiration Hop, Day 3!!!

Hey Ya'll!! Welcome back to your last day of the inspiration hops for this month...NOT your last day of inspiration though! :D Up today we have two new stamp sets...first is Tami Mayberry's newest set called You Go Girl!..what fun this set is and just full of encouragement for all of your girlfriends! Here is a card that Lee showed for me at the party the other night:

I just love that sentiment! That fits me to a T! I have always laughed at some of the WORST times! ...like at funerals...or during prayer...NOT good! LOL! Laughter IS one of the best medicines in my book! :D

Up next we have the new 'One Free With Three' stamp set called Pleasant Plurals ...this stamp set is so perfect for including everybody in your family AND TO everybody in another family! Here is my card with it:

I also used the new StampTV kit, "Wishing You Joy"...I used the house image and that sentiment on the bottom of the card is from that set too. This was a really quick card to make...I only used some glitter pens on the house, along with a few white gel pen accents instead of coloring it all in...I think it turned out pretty cute!!

Ok , ready for more awesome inspiration? Be sure to leave comments along the way for more chances to win a fabulous Gina K. Designs grab bag filled with a least a dozen individual precut images!

And it is just LOADED with goodies...besides the awesome stamps...you have ribbons and designer papers...Gina has a video on Stamp TV showing you all of the gorgeousness in this kit!! I wasn't able to attend the release party, and I had my GF Lee show this card I had made with the kit that night:

I did a bit of paper piecing on the trees and some sponging. The little acrylic charm says 'Happy Holidays' on it, you can't hardly see it in the pic though, so sorry! This card came together super quick, love that! I have a project I am working on, but didn't get done with it in time this weekend...life got in the way! GIna K Design October Release Inspiration Hop, Day 1!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our inspiration hop for Gina K Designs!! Up today we have two stamp sets to showcase for you! Up first is Melanie Muenchinger's newest set called Basket Additions...another set to add to you basket sets of Melanie's!! Here is what I have done:

I decided to do a Fall theme card...the temps here in my part of Texas are finally reflecting that it is Fall! yay! My favorite time of year! See that dp? That comes in the new StampTV kit too, it is GORgeous! (We will be showcasing that set on Monday!)

Up next is Theresa Momber's newest set called Strength and Hope...and to top it off, Theresa will be donating ALL of the proceeds from the first month of sales to cancer research! How awesome is that?! Here is my creation with this set for today:

Being that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month I decided to make a pink ribbon tree! This is something very close to lots of us. Statistics say that 1 in 3 woman will be affected by some type of cancer and 1 in 2 men! And for those that have been touched by this ugly disease already, HOPE is always something you have to have, plain and simple!

Ok, ready for more awesome inspiration from my fellow DT? Here are the links and be sure to leave comments along the way for more chances to win a fabulous Gina K. Designs grab bag filled with a least a dozen individual precut images!

I have made a card for little Tanner who is almost 3 years old...ohhh my he is a cutey!! I caught myself smiling back at him in his picture! :D After reading he loved BuzzLightYear, I decided to make him a rocket card:

This was a pretty quick card to make, except for waiting on the Crystal Effects and silver ink to dry, LOL! I also copied Melanie's idea to create that moon with a circle and a cuttlebug embossing folder. I added some sparkle with a glitter pen too on it. I think he will like it, I know my grandson loved this rocket on a card I made him at about the same age! :D

Ok, up next on your hop is the oh so talented Carolina!!

More fun challenges....

Hey ya'll! I just wanted to get this card put up, it is another HYCCT challenge card, but it is also for the challenge over on the Touch Twin Markers Challenge Blog. I just ordered my first group of markers and only ordered 12 markers, set A, so I was kinda limited to my colors. I used all Touch Twin on the flowers, but used some other markers for the leaves. Here it is:

I can honestly say I am thoroughly enjoying these markers! I brought the brush markers and them seem to be a bit more...sturdy? I think than some other markers out there..and they are a bit cheaper! So I WILL be ordering more...wish I could just order the whole darn bunch, haha!

The HYCCT challenge was called 'Think P.I.N.K.'...we were to use elements on our card starting with those letters...and I used:

P -- Picket fence die cut
I -- Ink from the Touch Twin markers and distress ink
N -- Nature for the cone flowers
K -- Knot...tied the twine with a knot...!!

This was lots of fun!! I have so many cards to mail off, hoping to get them out by Wednesday and that someone will enjoy them! :D

Thanks for stopping by today and hope you are having a wonderfully creative weekend!
