Gina K. Designs November 2018 Release Inspiration Hop - Day 2!

Hey Y'all!  Good to see ya!

Welcome to day 2 of our November Release Inspiration Hop!  We have two more awesome sets to showcase for you today too!  And as always, be sure to comment on all the blogs because we will have a drawing for a winner each day (2 this month) for a $50 gift certificate from Gina K. Designs!  Winners are usually announced by the Friday following the hops and announced in the Big News Forum on StampTV!

Up first for today I Emily's new set, A Very Merry Christmas:

And here is what I have done for today:

I heat embossed the sentiment and then just loosely watercolored a tree shape around the already tree shaped image.  Added a bit of fake snow at the bottom and ribbon treatment and done!  :D  I do like how this turned out using non traditional colors!  Its kinda hard for me to do that!  LOL!  I do have a more traditional one:

For this card I used some clear acetate with polka dots for the card base.  The sentiment is heat embossed with red glitter embossing powder and I made it into an ornament by stacking several of the ornament shape cutouts I had and got lucky that they fit perfect! I was going to make a shaker out of it but it covered too much of the gorgeous sentiment and didnt want that in this card!   The ornament I made can be removed and used on the recipients tree if they want!  Ok, Next up is a new set by Alicia called Snowbirds:

Arent they just awesome birds?  I had to color the little Titmouse:

This card started off as going to be a spotlight technique card, but then it just evolved to where you can hardly see it, lol!  I also used the musical background stamp on this.  I watercolored the little birdie and then did some detailing with pencils, he was fun to color!  I will definitely be doing the other birds too, especially that cardinal! love!  I also wanted to show this card that I made using just the feathers and a bit of stitching!

The story/inspiration for this card?  Well, a big ole smudge I made right in the middle of the card...no way to hide it that I liked, so got frustrated and tore it in half and just pitched into garbage and then...Light bulb moment!  I took it out and tore the edges some more and then added the stitching as if trying to 'fix it' by sewing back together, lol!  And so many fell in love with this like me too!  :D

Ok, ready for some awesome eye candy from my fellow DT?  just follow the links below!

Gina K. Designs November Release 2018 - Day 1!

Hey Y'all!  Glad to see you!

Welcome to  our Inspiration Blog Hops for this Release!  Where we hope to inspire you and  make you fall in love with these stamps like we have!  And as always, be sure to comment on all the blogs because we will have a drawing for a winner each day (2 this month) for a $50 gift certificate from Gina K. Designs!  Winners are usually announced by the Friday following the hops and announced in the Big News Forum on StampTV!

Ok, for today we have 2 new sets to showcase for you!  Up first is Hannah's  new set, Old Fashioned Christmas.

Here is my card for today:

For this card I heat embossed the image in white and then used some shimmery watercolors I have to paint the leaves and background.  Just cant get it to show all its sparkly goodness darn it!  The little white dots are actually white resin pieces glued on with Gina K. Connect glue (LOVE this glue!)  then layered with gold piece of paper that I have had for ages and this is the last of it...;(  Then onto some Cranberry Tart cardstock.  Really quick card for me!  :D

Ok, next up is a new set that you will be able to use with the Wreath Builder platform!

You know, this is one of the most fun to play with!  Seriously, with these new sets and the basic wreath builder templates, your possibilities are endless for designs!  Here is what I did for today with it:

For my card I also used some stamps for the Autumn wreath builder set.  Sooo fun to see how a design turns out!  I really like this one!  ha!  Only thing, my lips are upside down if you look closely!  :D

Also, a new incentive was release, Winter Flower.

This is a pretty little blue card I made using it:

For this card i mainly stamped the image and then heat embossed in silver.  I did a tad of sponging on the white flower and then on the edge, did some fussy cutting!   Super fun!
