Gina K Design May Release Inspiration Hop Day 2!!

Hi Ya'll!! Welcome to day two of our inspiration hops for this release! Today we have two stamps sets once again to inspire you with. Up first is Tami Mayberry's newest set called Dreams...I just love the quotes in this set! Here is what I did for today:



I decided to work with some metal! I stamped the saying on metal with Stayz On ink and then also made a metal flower. I love this quote, one of my favs in the set!

Up next is Rupa Shevde's newest called Birthday Bash...oh how cute is this set!! I made this card for a little girl I know that will soon be 5 years old!



I think she will just love all the bright colors on it! And the little puppy dog too!

I used the new StampTV Kit called Vintage Chic...we will have more inspiration with this set on Thursday of this week too! I LOVE it! I kept seeing this image as a tight rope walker...so did that and that is suppose to be 'stormy skies' behind her, LOL! I also used the new cardstock color, Just Peachy...loving this color too!

Gina K Design May Release Inspiration Hop Day 1!!

Hey Ya'll!! Welcome to our first day of inspirational hops for you! We will have one today, then with the Memorial Day holiday weekend here in the USA, we will resume with our hops on Tuesday instead of Monday! And did you make it to the party last night? Ok, for today, we have two stamps set to get your creative juices flowing, hopefully! Up first is a set by Theresa Momber called Vogue Vases...this is what I have done with it for today:



You cant tell it, but I used some crystal effects on the blue vase too. This also uses the next set that is up, one by Melanie Muenchinger called Border Bling!! (the oval bling around the sentiment!) I made this card using just stamps from this set:



This is one of those that looks so much better IRL! It really does twinkle! I spritz the whole thing with some shimmer spritz and used a stardust glitter pen on the little stars. So you see, you can use this set even by itself!

Tuesday Trigger....

I decided to do a quick card to play along with the Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World Blog. This week's Trigger is called Skirting the Issue and here is the inspiration pic:



And my card:



Did ya faint?? I KNOW!! It's not Gina K Designs is it?! LOL! I got this stamp set at my LSS ...she had a BUNCH of these little sets marked WAY down. The only stamps they carry there are Technique Tuesday's too! Got this for little to nothing! Who can pass up a bargain like that?! haha! Anyways, the stripes were my inspiration for my card. Used the same colors and a Sizzix embossing folder. Embossed the cardstock first then colored with some SU! markers in the colors I wanted...easy peasy!

Thats all for now! Hope you have had a wonderful relaxing weekend! I hate Mondays though...and I dont even work, lol!

Gina K Designs Sew Fun Blog Hop!

Hey ya'll!! Welcome to our monthly blog hop!

Members of Gina K.'s Design Team have come together to host a hop with sewing as the center theme. Along the hop you will find a variety of sewing techniques from hand sewing to faux sewing!

I decided to do just a bit of accent stitching on my card...my little janome bit the dust and I havent purchased another one yet...but I bet I will after seeing today's inspirations! LOL! Here is my card:

I inked my image with SU! markers, then stamped onto white cardstock. Before I did the touch of stitching, I used my paper piercer to make the holes on the flowers, just to make it easier in stitching it!

A card, but not by me!

I just wanted to pop on and post this card that I have been meaning to for a month now! My fellow NEW GKD DT Jimmi Mayo sent this to me....




Isnt it just gorgeous! Made my day! Thank you Jimmi, you are so super sweet and Im so thrilled to be working with you on Gina K Designs!!

No stamping!

Ever make a card and your just not sure whether you like it or not? Or if you even want to SHOW it? Well, thats how I feel about this card, lol! I wanted to play along in the Tissue Paper Magic Challenge over on the Moxie Fab Blog and envisioned this card in my head...but still not quite right ...oh well! I am posting it anyways! :D



And as the title says, NO stamping on this card! I used 3 different Dienamics from My Favorite Things! LOVE these dies! I used the grass, mini rolled roses and the medium scallop. I wanted the bigger rolled rose, they just have been out of stock everytime I go to buy it, lol! Hopefully Ill catch it one day!
