Ya know that thing called Murphy's Law?

I know it very well...I think that it was wrote with ME in mind actually!

Do NOT ever, EVER say...what else can go wrong? cause according to Murphy's Law, IT WILL!! LOL! yes, I am still laughing about everything, its a good thing to have a sense of humor, lol.

I am going to take a bit of break, like I have been already, but just telling everybody now, lol. Just until the first of the year. (Gina K previews for the release is Jan 3rd!! you KNOW I'll be here for THAT!)

It all started with me leaving my billfold at a store I guess is what happened to it. A whole paycheck ....gone....we had just drawn it out of one account to put into our regular bank and stopped at ONE store before heading there...anyways...then my camera got sick...its back with the geek squad right now, they had to mail it off and it wont be back till after Christmas....ANYways, those are the main points of the Murphy's Law thing, lol! But we are fine, everything is gonna be fine, always is! I went with a friend the other night to put up a tree for some folks that are alot worse off than me, thats for sure! And OMG, the look on the little kids faces....seriously, I still get chills thinking about their faces! So reminds you the magic of Christmas in a child's eyes!

I might be posting a bit here and there between now and the 1st, but doubt if I have a card pick, and I have sooo many to share! I hope the holidays find you with your loved ones and not too hectic right now for you!

Let's go sledding!

Welll, I WISH! LOL! Not here in NE Texas you wont get to that is, go sledding! But we have in the past. I can remember a few times as a kid, going down to the interstate bridge because that is the only hill we had around my Mom's house, lol. And does anybody remember making snow ice cream???? Would I do that now...Nooooo, lol! I think the air is too dirty now...probably was back 40 years ago too, but still....haha! Obviously it didnt kill me! You could never use the FIRST snow, had to wait and hope it did it 2 times! That ice cream was even better than the July 4th ice cream we used to make every year! OMG, and remember sitting on the old hand crank ice cream makers?? till your butt got so cold had to get a towel to sit on, haha! Ooookkkkkay....on to my card, lol! Sorry got carried away there....

This card was made using Rupa Shevde's newest set from Gina K Designs called "Warm and Wonderful":

A CAS card that I have done...really quick card using the sled stamp in the set, colored with copics, cut out and then on pop dots on the card. The 'snow' is vellum I tore the edges on a curve to resemble hills. I drew in some lines on the sled to look more like the olden wood sleds, I hope at least it reminds you of that, lol! I wish I had of put some glitter on this...but you know me and my fear of all things glittery, haha!

Ok, thats all for now...thanks for stopping by and listening/reading my ramblings, lol! I hope everyone has a very creative week!

Gina K Design December Preview Day 2!

Welcome back all to day 2 of the Gina K Designs release previews! We have 2 more sets we are previewing tonight...MORE awesomeness to be seen from all of the DT! First up tonight is the newest set from Theresa Momber called Life is Good and indeed so with this set! Just wait till you see all of the fun stuff in this one, and with all the details that Theresa loves to add...well, just WAIT till you see!! here is my card for tonight:

I decided to use the cabin stamp for my card tonight, and make a snow scene. I have smoke coming up out of the chimney, icicles hanging from the roof even! And here is a close up of the icicles:

And I am showing you this close up to give you a little tip when you might want to add some icicles like this...I have used glue and glitter for mine and I ran a line of glue, then took my paper piercing tool and drew down some points with the tip of the tool, to make it look like the tips of the icicles...kwim? THEN sprinkle the glitter over the glue...to me it makes the icicles look more realistic! Just a little tip there, lol! This was all colored with copics too. Really such fun to color! My life would indeed be good with a cabin like this sitting in the woods! Red door and all! :D

Next up is Rupa's newest set called Warm and Wonderful. Rupa's set alot of times sure bring back some wonderful warm memories with me! And this set is the same way, several of the images bring back those memories!! Here is my card I created for tonight:

I used the mittens in the set to make a set of hanging mittens! After making this card, I had an idea...wouldnt they have looked neat hanging from Nina's Lovely Shelf!!?? FUN stuff I tell ya!! We used to have a shelf right by the door to hang stuff on when I was a kid, and would hang mittens there lots of times and that is what I was thinking of making this....(and also that little poem about the kittens loosing their mittens, hee hee!)

Gina K Design December Preview Day 1!!

It's the most wonderful time of the MONTH!! Yep, Gina K Designs release time! Well, officially its Thursday at 10pm CST, but you get to enjoy some awesome previews from all of the DT for now! Ya know, I still get so excited to see what everybody else has made! LOL!! I am seeing it the first time, most of the time, just like you are on their blogs tonight! Ok, first up for tonight is Nina Brackett's newest set called Lovely Shelf. Here is my card for that:

This set is just packed full of some fun images for that shelf! Not only for the shelf either...which you will see in a card I made for Wednesday too! I just love how Nina makes all of her sets so versatile and really, soooo much fun to play with! I tried to make my lamp look like a light coming from it, lol! I guess it does look like SOME kind of strange glow, haha! And I am so loving the sentiments in this set with that fun font!

Next up is the newest set by Melanie Muenchinger called Tech Talk....and we all know how Mel just packs her sets full of images too! Oh my, what fun you are gonna have with this one too! Here is what I have come up with for tonight:

I took some of my inchies and covered them with dp, and then stamped 3 of the smiley faces onto them....I love how they look on this paper! I love the sayings in this set, and how they are computer related and will fit all ages, not just the teens and such, but you know, us young at hearts too! LOL! I made a little charm thingy with the mouse image in this set, it has both images, reverse of each other in the set, and all I did was sandwich them together with the twine in between too with a dimensional in there with a dab of crystal effects just to make sure it stayed glued. Love how it turned out too, so if it flips around it still looks good from all sides!

For even more ways to use these fabulous stamp sets, please check tonight's featured Illustrator's blogs:
