From Courtyney's Closet Challenge.

I have been meaning to try this challenge for the longest that Libby does of her cute baby girl at Libby's Little Addiction. And this weeks was too cute for me to pass up and I had the perfect set for it that I had been wanting to use! Here is the link to the inspiration piece this week:

FCCC #40

And here is my card:

I used Asela's set from Gina K Designs That I had only used the panda bear from so far, and this was perfect for it I though! I literally copied the outfit sorta, lol! Well, 2 zebras wouldnt fit on my card, and my tree a bit different. I used some clouds from a Doodlefactory set from Starving Artists to make the tree tops, and then just freehanded the bottom. I also used some more of that flower-soft to make the little flowers. And I just had to put the meercat (sp?) peeping out of a hole too cause he's so darn cute, lol! I also scored the top section to imitate the little shirt top, but you cant see it too good in the photo. I used my new Scor-pal Embosser from Gina K, that thing is FUN! Love that I can make really straight lines now with it. Also, if you are wanting to pierce something, because this doesn't go all the way through, all you have to do is use it with your Scor-Pal like you are suppose to, and then just pierce all the way through with a paper piercing tool, most probably knew that but was a light bulb moment for me, haha!

Ok, that's about all for today! Thanks for stopping by!

I've lost my marbles!

But I found some beads I could use for the technique challenge yesterday at SCS, lol! I lost my marbles YEARS ago, so had to go and dig in my beads so I could try it, what fun! I really like how the technique part turned out, but then I just agonized over what to do with it, lol! Me and my struggle in using DP! What's weird though, I LOVE DP, I am constantly buying some, I just have loads of it....I see others cards that are just gorgeous with it, but I go to making a card with it, and it just don't look right, it will look too busy or colors don't match just right to suit me, lol! Anyways, here is my card I finally finished:

I actually started out with a much bigger piece of dp the marbles made, but after trying many different layouts, ended up with this small piece, haha! Well, it really was a fun technique to try, love learning new stuff like that, even though I think its an old one, it was new to me!

I thought I'd share Blake's, my grandson, my wild child, lol, most recent picture with you all too:

He was so bad trying to get pictures, lol! You can't tell it from his smiling face though in this one, good thing he's cute, haha! The photographer would get him all set, and she would go, 'say cheese' and he'd go 'SEEZ!!!, ALL DONE!' and run off, rofl! Yea, he is definitely a fireball!

Oh! I added a custom sig! Yay me! Thanks to the help from some ladies over at StampTV! It should be at the bottom of this post, I'm hoping at least....

Ok, that's all for today! Hope you are having a wonderfully creative week! Thanks for stopping by!

Sorta distressed...

My card that is! LOL! I made this card to show at the Gina K release party, but then didn't. I wasn't too sure about it. I started out with the thought in mind to distress the whole card, but then only did the sponging like I wanted, I LOVE how that turned out. Here is the card:

I used the new Nautical Netting from Gina K Designs to do the sponging on it like a mask. I just used a bit of tape to kinda hold it in place, the non permanent kind, and started sponging. AND this stuff holds sponging too! The netting is actually a more lighter color IRL. And then I just used the piece I had used for the sponging as an accent on the card too. I wish I had of distress the edges of the paper, then I think I would have like it better...not real happy with how it turned out, my rose's coloring kinda blah...oh well, I wanted to post because I think using the netting for a mask was pretty cool, lol! The rose if from Asela's newest set from Gina K Designs.

Here is one card I did show at the release party:

I was going for a night time scene, with a big ole new moon rising! And how it looks kinds foggy sometimes. I have only been to the ocean 3 times in my lifetime, but this was one scene I did see, soo gorgoues, how the moon sparkles on the water, which mine isnt doing THAT justice, lol! Anyways, I do like how this card turned out, lol! I added the stripes on the lighthouse too.

And I will be posting more tomorrow, I decided not to bombard you all in one post, LOL!

And on Friday, I will be posting another guest spot using Theresa Momber's brand new set from Gina K, and you will have a chance to win that set!

Ok, think that's it for today! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, back to the grind tomorrow, huh? I won't rub it in that I don't work, lol! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderfully creative week!

I have been bad....

Oh I have been a bad blogger lately! I am soo sorry! I plan a catch up day tomorrow with cards that I showed at Gina K release party (and if you itching to see, Look what Gina did:
Gina's blog,
I'm still blushing!)

I got my stamp area all straightened back up now, it looked like a tornado had gone through it! I'm not saying organized, cause it's far from that, BUT at least I got more room on my craft table now, lol!

Also had a horrible headache today, but did that to myself. I drank a glass and half of wine, is ALL, and I am sooo not a drinker, but had unexpected company come in and we cooked out and so I decided to drink one, ug...not again, for some reason my body just does NOT like alcohol, not even in limited amounts! LOL! But it's finally gone this evening..whew!

thanks for hanging with me all, and look for update tomorrow AND I'll let you know too when to watch for my post next week with Theresa's set again 'Out West, which you will have a chance to WIN THAT SET!! WOOHOOO!!

Gina K Sneak Peek, and NEW Illustrator!!

Howdy Ya'll!! I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to be a guest designer for Gina K's newest stamp Illustrator! I can remember when I first saw her work too, and I also remember seeing this palm tree she drew to put on her card and going, 'Dang, She's GOOD, she needs to be an illustrator!' And now...here she is:

Theresa Momber!

She is one of Gina's Senior Design Team members too! Her first set is called 'Out West' (get the hint from yesterday now? LOL!) Here is my card for today with it:

I had SUCH fun coloring this image! I tried to make the horse look like he was standing on a hill full of Texas bluebonnets! (there's some of the flower-soft again!) This set is sooo much fun! It has really neat images in it, lots for men, but they also can be for the cowgirl friends too. And I love the sentiments with it! Just wait till you see all of it, which will happen this Thursday night, the 23rd at the Gina K forum on Splitcoast Stampers. For now, linked below are some more of Gina K's oh so talented Senior Design Team that are showing casing Theresa's new set Out West:

Monochromatic CAS Bold flower

I thought I had posted this card, but guess not, lol! I made this for last week's CAS challenge at SCS, to make a monochromatic card. I always struggle with those type of cards, and it was even harder with it being a CAS card for me this time. I mean, you got to have layers for showcase 'monochromatic' I kept thinking! But I think I pulled it off. Here is my card:

I have really been enjoying the CAS cards lately, I get to see results quicker! LOL! I have another one that I did today that I will be posting on ummm Wednesday, because tomorrow I have a nice surprise! Don't forget to stop back tomorrow! It's something that I am really enjoying and something I think YOU will too!

Thanks for stopping by today and see ya tomorrow! Ya'll come back now, ya here? ...sorry, something is making me talk like that, haha! (could that be a hint??)

Playing with Flower Soft!

Have you tried the FLower Soft stuff yet? I just got some last week and LOVE it! Very fun and easy to work with! Here is my card:

I used the label four nesties that I got from Stampers Dream once again too on this one, really like that shape! For the flowers, I used stamps from the Elegant Flowers set from Gina K Designs that is in the Floral Frenzy Kit. I used my SU! markers to ink the stamp up, in a light color, and then just dabbed glue on the flower area, sprinkled the flower soft on that and its done! FUN! Love the look of it!

WEll its TGIF!! I got a special surprise coming on Tuesday of next week, can't wait to share with you! So I gonna be working on that alll weekend. Hopefully DH will leave me alone and not want to go running around everywhere. He is bugging me right now to go to I-HOP, but that dont take much bugging....off to find some pancakes!! haha!!

My first Sarah Kay card.

Remember I said I went to my sister's over the weekend and met Michelle? Well, she has an online store, Stamper's Dream and how can you meet somebody that has a store like hers and NOT buy something, right? LOL! I got this Sarah Kay stamp from her, among other things, such as the white paper on here, which is Neenah Classic Solar white in the 110lb weight AND the Labels 4 nesties that I used on this card...here is the card:

Isnt that image the cutest?! All of the Sarah Kay images remind me of my daughter when she was little. I need more of them now! I've made a list too of which ones I am gonna get, LOL! I also tried for the first time on this card the Neenah Classic Solar white paper, 110lb weight, and I LOVE it for working with copics! I had been wanting to try it for the longest and am so glad I got it now. It works like I want it too! I like the ink to soak into the paper most of the time when I use copics because that is the way I learned to blend with them. And its a really good weight too.

Ok, that's it for today! Thanks for stopping by...I think I have lost some that used to, maybe just because it was Easter weekend and spring break for alot...but I do miss the comments, lol.
Have a beautiful Tuesday tomorrow!

Cute panda!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful relaxed blessed day with their families, it was quiet here, we decided to just stay home, me and DH. Yucky and raining here and daughter had to work, sooo...but I did go visit my sister yesterday and I got to meet Michelle from Stampers Dream !! OMG, what an awesome sweet person Michelle is! So down to earth and we talked like we had known each other forever! LOL! What fun that was! Hiii Michelle!! Luvs ya lady, you are awwesome!! But for now, here is the card I made for an example for the sketch challenge on StampTV

I'm distressed!

Not really! Well, my card is though! LOL! This weeks CAS challenge at SCS was to distress and I had such a hard time with that! Cause I really don't do either very well, CAS and distressing on cards, but I gave it an attempt, here it is:

This stamp is from one of the stamp sets I received for winning that Stamp It! challenge, its from Lizzie Anne Designs (think I spelt it wrong on the card, ss!)
I also used the new technique video at Stamp TV today, Emboss Resist. What a fun technique that is! And then I used the colors from this weeks Color Throwdown...see I'm not the only one into pink and greens right now, lol! I will probably do another card using this technique, I really enjoyed doing it, but as with all CAS cards, I always want to add more, them pearls snuck in there...lol.

Hope you are having a wonderful Hump Day! On the down hill swing now for the week! yay! Thanks for stopping by!

Pink...again!

Oh my! It's been a week since I posted! My bad!! I have had a bit of personal stuff going on...daughter and her problems. To make a long story short, I've had my grandson here, and I got to say KUDOS! to all you moms out there with little ones that can stamp and take care of them too, lol! BUT, things are getting a bit better now, so I should be back to posting normally once again!

Here is a card I got made today. I used the sketch challenge and the color challenge posted at Stamp TV for this week:

I still feel like that green area needs something, but I tried several different things and didnt like none of them so just went ahead and finished it up, lol!

By the way, if you haven't heard about Stamp TV and joined, you really should! Besides being such an awesome place to learn, wonderful resources and videos, there are 5 challenges a week, and each on challenge you have a chance to win a free stamp set! Another new thing that has just started is called 'Center Stage'. You can read about that HERE!!. If your card is chosen on that one, you win a 10.00 gift certificate to Gina K's store! AND coming in May, is an online magazine called 'Stamping Lifestyle' and here is the link to read about it:

Stamping Lifestyle Magazine coming soon!

Ok, I think that is about all for tonight. It took me forever to get my camera to upload this evening, for some reason it wouldn't. I had to completely uninstall the software and reinstall...bleh.. pain in the booty, but at least it's working now! I was worried there for a bit, lol!
Hope you are having a wonderfully create week and thanks for stopping by and I am so sorry for being such a bad blogger this past week! Thanks for all that have hung in there with me!
