Apple of my eye...

Howdy Ya'll! so sorry its been a week since I posted...I always post over on StampTV then forget to come put on my blog..or think I might bore to many if they saw it on STV, LOL! Anyways...I decided to play along on the MIUM over on StampTV, which Lee is hosting this week, and its a sketch challenge, fun one! Here is my card:

I followed the sketch pretty close on this one. I used markers on the apple image, then just stamped it all in a row, only inking the stamp once, is that called shadow stamping or something like that? I have the hardest time remember names of certain techniques, LOL! I love that gingham with the apples too, gives it a country feel. My grandmother had her kitchen like this, with apples on the curtains and a gingham in yellow and black, so that is the inspiration for this card! :D

Hope you are staying cool this summer! It's been over 100 here in TX now for about 5 days...and the little showers we do get only makes it like a steam bath outside to me!! Not even enough to settle the dirt as the saying goes...we so desperately need rain! Even with us watering our little garden everyday, its still looking ...dusty, lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hanging with me...I have been so bad about posting, lost a few followers and that just upsets me...bad me! I am going to do better! Thanks to you that hang with me though! Big ole hugsssss!!

Wow! Cat, I like how you did your apples! Wish I would remember to do creative things like that! The DP, ribbon, and the pearls are perfect for it. Cheerful and pretty at the same time!
