Scared?

Did I scare ya? 2 blog posts in 2 days!! Go me! LOL! I wanted to play with this week's Tuesday Trigger over on Moxie Fab World so got my behind in gear, lol! Here is the trigger:

And my creation:

What inspired me were the stripes of color! So flipped through some Basic Grey packs and found this striped paper in the Cupcake collection. This card actually went a WHOLE nuther direction than what I started! But I think I like it! Looking at it makes me want a tall glass of lemonade!! And I just love those little flip flops...its a punch by EK Success that Michaels had on sale for 3.99!! Thats a got to get it.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to do better at visiting blogs than I have been in the past...I do visit, sometimes just dont have the time to comment like I want to! And I know how it feels to get comments, I love them too! ;)

A couple of color challenge cards!

First, let me tell you about my friend Lee who has some really fun blog candy up for grabs! Here is the link to her post for that:

Awesome Blog Candy that could be yours!!

I wish I could be entered myself!! LOL!!

Ok, now, I played along with the color challenge on SCS this week, Barely Banana, Mellow Moss, and Real Red. NOT colors I would have put together, but once I did, I really liked them, made two cards! I used Melanie Muenchinger's Newest set from Gina K :

The little insert pic is of the inside, and it says "I saved you some cake"....notice the cake has turned ....green! LOL! Yea, I'm horrible about mailing out birthday cards...so I'm thinking if I get a WHOLE bunch made up maybe, just maybe I will do better! Here is the 2nd one:

I took the little party hats and stamped them and then cut them out, leaving off the little ball up top...so then made it into this fun banner! Both of these are CAS designs I feel like...the 2nd one seems to need something in the middle area of the banner, but I dont know what, lol!

Ok, thats all for today! Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a wonderfully creative week, and dont forget about Lee's blog candy!!

Gina K Design Illustrators/Design Team Blog Hop!

Howdy and welcome to the Blog Hop for this month! Gina's Challenge to us this time was to use a Summer memory of ours to inspire our creation....wellll, I decided to go with the bike image from the STV Kit, Enjoy the Sunshine. Here is my card:

Edited to add: Cath has a bicycle challenge on her blog, so entering this for that too! Here is the link to the challenge:I want to ride my bicycle!

Do you notice the bike is flying down a hill? One of the best things about summer to me was me and my brother, that is 2 and half years older than me, going bike riding just all over the place! We had this one hill that I was terrified to go down!! But my brother would just zip right down it like it was nothing...sooo I finally get up the nerve to go down it...guess what...yep, WIPED OUT, LOL! My hands, knees, and elbows all scratched up, but I did survive! (my brother got a spanking because I told my Mama it was HIS fault..I know, bad me!) AND I did it again after the wounds healed and MADE IT! yay me! haha! But it is a very fond memory even with the wipe-out! Ok, enough of my blabber...onto more gorgeous eye candy! And dont forget to hope to Gina's blog if you havent, cause she will explain all about how you can become next months CSS DT!!

For all the specific details on how to enter your card in Gina's Design Team challenge, please visit GinaK's blog.

Its official!

Yep, its officially summertime in my book! It sure seems like this year is just flying by! Wow, JUNE already!! What are your plans for this summer? Any fun vacations planned? We never plan here, lol! Most of the time just spur of the moment kinda of people, lol!!

Here is something I did on the spur of the moment! I happened across the Serigraph Technique and decided to give it a try...I do not think mine turned out as pretty as the one Beate did, but I still like how mine turned out, here it is:

And this also fitted the color challenge that Carla posted on StampTV for this week, chocolate/green/ivory, LOVE that combo!

One thing that I think might be important with this technique, is to use WHITE embossing powder also, over the white ink you use...to make the white POP more, ya know? But I didnt have any so its on my list now! Something you cant tell with the photo either is that I spritz it with some glimmer mist after it was done...it looks beautiful IRL, with the little touch of sparkles!

Ok, that's all for now. I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and loving this short week you will have with work! Thanks for stopping by and see ya soon!!
