Gina K Design December Preview Day 1!!

It's the most wonderful time of the MONTH!! Yep, Gina K Designs release time! Well, officially its Thursday at 10pm CST, but you get to enjoy some awesome previews from all of the DT for now! Ya know, I still get so excited to see what everybody else has made! LOL!! I am seeing it the first time, most of the time, just like you are on their blogs tonight! Ok, first up for tonight is Nina Brackett's newest set called Lovely Shelf. Here is my card for that:

This set is just packed full of some fun images for that shelf! Not only for the shelf either...which you will see in a card I made for Wednesday too! I just love how Nina makes all of her sets so versatile and really, soooo much fun to play with! I tried to make my lamp look like a light coming from it, lol! I guess it does look like SOME kind of strange glow, haha! And I am so loving the sentiments in this set with that fun font!

Next up is the newest set by Melanie Muenchinger called Tech Talk....and we all know how Mel just packs her sets full of images too! Oh my, what fun you are gonna have with this one too! Here is what I have come up with for tonight:

I took some of my inchies and covered them with dp, and then stamped 3 of the smiley faces onto them....I love how they look on this paper! I love the sayings in this set, and how they are computer related and will fit all ages, not just the teens and such, but you know, us young at hearts too! LOL! I made a little charm thingy with the mouse image in this set, it has both images, reverse of each other in the set, and all I did was sandwich them together with the twine in between too with a dimensional in there with a dab of crystal effects just to make sure it stayed glued. Love how it turned out too, so if it flips around it still looks good from all sides!

For even more ways to use these fabulous stamp sets, please check tonight's featured Illustrator's blogs:

Then, visit our Designer's blogs participating in the previews tonight:

We also have two of our special Center Stage Spotlight Designer's joining us with samples as well:

Thanks so much for stopping by today and dont forget to come back tomorrow for Day 2 of the previews....we will have 2 more sets to show you tomorrow!!

My Goodness!!

O.M.G.! I cannot believe it has been a week since I posted anything, lol! Where did this week go? And I didnt even go anywhere for Thanksgiving! Well, to my daughters house but that is only about an hour up the road....it was very nice too, Blake just loves us to come to his house...he is so crazy about his 'peepaw' (hubby) ....I dont get it though, haha! Just kidding....I can see why Blake is crazy about him...and why I'm not right now, rofl. ANYways...lets move off of THAT subject!!

Here is a card I made with an inspiration...I WAS going to try out for the CAS DT on SCS, but changed my mind...I dont handle rejection very good, lol. Soooo i just played along for the fun of it with a few of their challenges and this card is one of them. Here is my inspiration:

Bronners

And my card:

I really like how this card turned out! And it will be so easy to mail! That's one thing about our cards we make, sometimes they are so expensive to mail! OR if you dont package them up right they get all messed up by the time the recipient gets them! I keep saying too, that I am done with Christmas cards and then I get inspired again to make one, lol!

And I cant leave this post without wishing Happy Birthday to my favorite daughter!!

I just feel so old thinking about her getting closer to that 30 mark, haha!! She is 26 today....it really doesnt seem THAT long ago though....talk about time flying!! LOVE you HOLLI!!

Im late, Im late....

...just like that rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, lol! Both of these cards were made following Beate's weekend sketch challenge from LAST friday, WSC106! I really loved the sketch too so made 2 cards:

This card pretty much followed the sketch, with the 5 images across the bottom there. I so love that new cardstock from Gina K Designs, called Tan Leather, love the texture and the color of it. Also the new kraft cardstock from Gina K, omg so loving that, more so than SU! even! You will see, got several cards made with that that I will be showing you in the next few days! OK, here is the other card I made inspired by the sketch too:

This card uses the same stamp set from PTI too, just more of the image across the bottom is all. I sponged the edges to give it more of an 'aged' look. Anyways, both cards CAS card for me!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you all had a wonderful relaxing weekend! I practiced making some candy.....it did NOT turn out, haha! I have NEVER had much luck making any kind of homemade candies! Makes me so mad .... guess I can do like my sister and just dip some pretzels in almond bark stuff and act like I have really made something, rofl!! AND I will be having NEW Gina K stamps in the house tomorrow! woot!! At least I HOPe my mail lady brings them tomorrow....she should! Previews for that will start next Monday! Cant wait!!
