New! StampTV kit! Journey of the Heart! Blog Hop today!

Hey y'all!! Welcome to our blog hop, featuring the brand new StampTV kit, Journey of the Heart.

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina and Cast and Crew will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.

I've done several cards for the hop and will try to keep my chattering to a minimum. LOL!! Here is my first creation:

This was a fun card to make! I used gelatos to make the background. I wanted a warm color to go with the sunflower stamp, for a recipient who needs a bit of cheering up while sick! :D Super easy card to make though! The white is paint splatters I added to it for more grunge look!

Next is a card made with leftovers on my table. I try to do this everytime, us up the leftovers right then, because chances are, Ill never pull it out of my scrap pile to use every again, lol! i KNOW me! ha! ANYways, here is the card:

And last but not least, my favorite of the bunch Ive made:

this card uses the emboss resist technique and I also used the gelatos on this one to create the background for it. I also used some molding paste and stencil to add to the background and it also gives texture to the card.

Ok, ready for more awesome inspiration? I am! Let's go hop to my fellow Cast and Crew!

What a rich and elegant look the darker solid florals are on that paler yellow hue. And, as always you have created super fantastic ways of using those images in the new kit. I can hardly wait for the mail to bring mine to my door!

Stunning cards ! Great idea to use leftovers to make another card. Thanks

Pat said...

I must say none of these look 'super easy' as you describe the first one which actually looks the most complicated, but certainly all are wonderful and inspiring. TFS

Oneofakind said...

I have never used gelatos, great examples and I too like the last one as favorite in the bunch. You sound like me in the way you work to use scraps right away because I don't usually go back to them once I add them to the pile.

Georgie Horn said...

these are stunning cards and I will use your tip to use my scraps up instead of putting them in a drawer. Really good idea.

Hi Cat! You have such a cool eye for design! I esp love how you achieve a touch of distress or even a tiny bit grunge with edges of papers, using the molding paste with stencil, and the colors. LOVIN' it!!!!!

Super cards Cathy. I honestly thought the first two were made with designer papers until you explained how you made them. And I can see why the third is your favourite. Jenny x
