Red, white and blue.

Well, this card actually started out for a 4th of July card, but didnt end up there, lol. My cards do that ALOT. I so love how this card turned out. And I rarely love my cards, haha! And I had a little mishap after coloring this image. I dropped the stamp I was using to stamp the sentiment and it just HAD to flop on my colored image...sooooo had to cut it out, and it had some flowers on left hand side that I had to cut off too...but think its still ok? Anyways, on to the card details.

Card Details:
Stamps: Friendship Blooms by Gina K Designs
Papers: red/blue cardstock is SU! white cards stock is from PTI, brown cardstock is Kraft Note cards from HL
Accessories: copic markers, ribbon from HL, marvey oval punch, rectangle nesties, pop dots, red brads from Making Memories, punch tool and pad.

Thanks for taking the time to look and ANY comment so much appreciated!

First card with PTI stamp.

Well, I got my first order from PTI, and had to play with it. I ordered a package of their white cardstock, since everybody was raving about it, and of course HAD to get a stamp set too, lol. So I tried their newly released Borders and Beams. LOVE it! LOVE the white cardstock too, its doing great with copic markers. Havent tried with OMS yet, but fixing to. Hope it does good with that too, love the heavy weight of it. Last couple of cards havent been able to take a picture outside like I had been trying to do, much better lighting than my house has...darn rain! This picture kinda makes the metallic rub paste I used around the edges...makes it look dirty! And can you even tell I scored lines at the top of the card?

Card Details:
Stamps: Borders and Beams by Papertrey Ink
Papers: White card stock is from Papertrey Ink, DP is DCWV I think.
Accessories: rectangle nesties, copic markers, ribbon from HL, pop dots, scor-pal, metallic rub-on paste from Gina K Designs

thanks for taking the time to look and hope you are having a wonderful weekend! (our electric was off last night from 10:30pm till 6:30am...we about burned up!!

I did this card for Kazan's sketch challenge at 2 Sketches 4 You. Love their challenges...I'm no where in the league that so many of them post to the challenge, but still love doing them, thats what makes us better...I hope, LOL! (or depressed one....it took me FORever to make!)

Card details:
Stamps: Studio G $1 stamps
Accessories: chipboard and brads are by Making Memories, ribbon and all from M's, SU pink card stock

I have worked on a card all day today. It was the sketch challenge at SCS...it gave me fits, lol. And its ugly too. But I'm still going to post my ugly card tomorrow. So stay tuned for that, haha!

Tooting my horn!

I just had to toot my horn a bit...lol. I got notice today that a card I submitted to Scrapbook News and Reviews will be in the July issue. Now whats kinda funny, I did this on a whim. I know nothing about submitting, or this online magazine. It was the BBQ card, the one that I used the stamp set King of the Grill from Gina K Designs and 2 stamps from Stampabilities. I have to sign a contract and send back, which they give me 2 months subscription free for compensation...I'll let everyone know how good a magazine it is after that, lol. Anyways, made my DAY!! and will have a card a bit later...been so busy cleaning after grandbaby and daughter left...

THE best of summertime....

Well, I've been a bit occupied the last couple of days... and this is the reason why! My daughter and grandbaby have been here and with Blake here, there is NO card making time, lol. But thats ok, always will be later!

So, Blake does not care for swimming pools, I know, strange child, takes after his Grammy for sure, lol. But what I did was go buy him this little sprinkler thingy, and oh the fun began! That is until it was time to get out! (second picture is of him having a fit when that time came, lol)

Just thought I'd share! Cards coming later!

Paula the Polar bear gets a suntan...

Well, Paula the Polar Bear from Melanie's new set Jumping for Joy got tired of people laughing at her white legs and saying they would blind you...oh wait, that's ME they talking about, HAHA!! Anyways, I decided she need a suntan too, lol. So here she is basking in the sun. I also used the beach scene from GinaK Design's You Are My Sunshine and sentiment is from her Just Be-Claws set. This was my first time to try the KOH-I-NOOR pencils and OMS too. I have to say that I love these pencils! I got so upset with the prisma color pencils because of the breakage and I think these are going to be fine. I just wish they had more than 24 colors, lol. Thanks GinaK for the heads up on those!

Card details:
Stamps: Jumping for Joy, Just Be-Claws, You Are My Sunshine
Papers: white cardstock is GP, all other SU!
Accessories: KOH I NOOR pencils, rectangle nesties, 1" circle punch, pop dots for dimension, spica glitter pen.

Oh, and I got carried away here and decided Paula needed to protect her eyes from the sun... I added her some cool shades as an after thought, lmao! Which you like better? With or without the shades?

It's allll good...

Or its gonna get better! Word of advice, do not try to cut while having a coughing fit, ouch! LOL! Been a bit under the weather lately and seems to have sucked my creative juices too. Came up with this card, hubby tells me its 'kinds plain' to quote him, yea, it is for me I guess, lol.
This is suppose to look like a frosted glass of Tom Collins, my favorite summertime drink on July 4th. And you cant see the sparkling ice cubes in the pic either...but maybe kinda pulled off the frosted look, a bit?

Stamps: You are My Sunshine by GinaK Designs
Papers: Cardstock by SU! (yay! finally got some!), DP by Paper Studio

I'm into pink for some reason lately....

I have the hardest time coming up with a 'title' for my posts, lol! Anyways, finished up this card using Melanie's new set from GinaK Designs. You cant tell it by the photo but the horn, and sparklers and streamers all are glittery and sparkly and oh so pretty, lol. And for some reason the seal looks like he has streaks on him..hmmm...I need a better camera! If I'd stop buying stamp stuff then I could buy one..haha!
